Chapter 6: Chap 6 – A Thick Plot Armor

"-I've just arrived here yesterday and as far as I can remember, I only invited Miss Bai to drink with me. Even her father accepted my invitation and sent her to me, right?" As he continued, he was also continuously punching Lin Jie's abdomen, preventing him from circulating his Qi.

Xia Wei gazed at Lin Jie's face with a sneer and then started to inject his Qi into Lin Jie's head, trying to seal off his Dantian while also trying to destroy all of his meridians.

"Impudent!" However, right before the Qi could enter Lin Jie's body, a loud and overbearing voice resounded and a massive force of Qi suddenly crashed into the room, sending Xia Wei and Lin Jie back and into the wooden wall debris.

The sudden force that pushed both of them was not enough to kill a person, but could still heavily injure a person below the Core Formation realm.

Xia Wei then stood up with ease. Patting the dust of his clothes while looking at the attacker with a frown and cold gaze. The damage he received from the push was nothing serious to think about, instead he was more curious about the person who dared to enter his room.

"You brat, you dared to kill my daughter and then you even tried to injure my sect disciple?! Though you come from the Upper World, these actions could not be tolerated anymore!"

In the front of the broken door, stood a 215cm tall middle-aged man with long gray hair mixed with some silver golden hair fluttering from the wind. His dense black eyes full of killing intent were staring at Xia Wei. Behind him were several Elders of the Thousand Illusionary Sect and disciples who surrounded the room from all directions.

Facing this kind of situation, Xia Wei stood still, calmly gazing at the people and then he focused on Lin Jie who was being approached by one of the Elders. However when the Elder was about to touch his body, it suddenly vanished into thin air.

"What thick armour, just like a meat pie falling from heaven."

System, mark him, Xia Wei commanded inwardly, however as the trace of his Qi left his body and tried to embed itself on Lin Jie before his body could fade away, the sky rumbled and struck against Xia Wei's Qi, completely transforming his Qi back to the natural Qi.

"You are courting death by ignoring my words! Take this, Dance of The Wielder II!" The tall middle-aged man, known as the Patriarch and Miss Bai's father, roared with bloodshot eyes, thrusting his sword with all of his might towards Xia Wei.

The distance between them was not too far as Xia Wei stood at the high ground, looking down from the stairs before his room while the Patriarch leaped forward and blasted the air around him.

The Qi around Xia Wei also started showing an abnormality, the smooth flow and calm looking faint blue light suddenly became chaotic followed by the thrust of a sword which suddenly multiplied into ten shadows of swords.

The elders and the disciples had distanced themselves from the area of attack, leaving only Xia Wei, standing and facing the attack all by himself.

The tide had changed, now it was his turn to become the weak and get preyed upon by the strong. It was impossible to evade, this attack could severely injure him despite being at the Peak-Stage of Core Formation realm. Unless he had any life-saving talisman or artifact, Xia Wei was as good as dead.

"Know your places, ant!" Instead of Xia Wei, a voice emerged from behind him with a tone that was seemingly suppressing anger. At the same time, the glorious ten shadows of swords were turned into a burst of Qi by a huge shadow that wiped them out completely.
