Chapter 50: CHAPTER 50: LYNX AND HYDRA (2)

In the palace meeting room…

 

Kairi glanced at everyone who had seated around the long rectangular table while his seat was located at the head table. On his right was Leo and on his left was Auriga. 

 

Rafiz and Dark Hartina have taken their seats with their own stellar names. It was just a coincidence that their seats were closed to each other. While Ziphoteninx had disappeared into Kairi's bracelet mark again.

 

"I guess we can begin. First, I would like to say I am sorry to everyone. For these three long years, I have worried you after I went missing suddenly. And also sorry that you have to search for me." Kairi apologises to them.

 

They all replied with some forgiving words and they didn't mind it as long as Kairi was fine and safe.

 

"Thank you. Next, I don't want to delay the time since it's going to be night soon and I'm sure everyone wants to go to the festival in Antonia City that coincidentally happens during my return. I'll take it as my returning festival." Kairi makes jokes with them.

 

They all chuckled.

 

"Don't worry, Your Majesty, we'll make it grander tomorrow to welcome you home." Auriga smiled.

 

"Nice! I love festivals the most!" Kairi grins and his sentences were agreed by several of them.

 

"Alright! Let's move on to some serious topics. I mean this will be something you might want to be mad at and so, I would like everyone to shut your mouth until I finish. Can you all do that?" He asked them.

 

Though his informal words made some users give a small smile, however, they all nodded and understood his order. Ini and Gem even make a zip on their mouth. Their actions were cute and made some people chuckle. Even Leo looks at them with a big smile. Ini and Gem had taken a seat together since Gemini's seat were big like others.

 

"Good. So first, let's begin with a story from 500 years ago. Everyone here should have known that your ancestors were chosen to be the stellar users and my great grandmother, Queen Siarah was the leader for them. The biggest problem that happened during that time was the emergence of supernatural beings which also can be called monsters. And they have run havoc in our world, destroying lots of human civilization. Thanks to the power of stellars, our ancestors were able to go to war with them and managed to eliminate them in the end. The Dark War was what they called in the history book that was passed down to the next generation until our current generation..."

 

Everyone already knows the history and listening to it again makes their heart beat nervously. Somehow, for their leader to explain the story, it seems there was something else that happened during that time. So they wait for his next words.

 

Kairi noticed their change of expression and took a moment to breathe in before he continued.

 

"I won't lie to you. History may have taught us about Queen Siarah and our ancestors defeating their biggest enemies but there was something else happening after the war ended. The most confusing thing is that the historical record didn't tell about the event after the war ended. All we know is that peace comes to the world again. And I'm sure you guys don't want to listen to the topic after this or know it but I must share this with you."

 

Everyone turns serious after hearing it. They wanted to know even if Kairi said they wouldn't be able to accept it. However, after listening to it, some people's expressions turn dark and some grit their teeth in anger. They weren't able to keep calm anymore.

 

"The thing is we are supposed to have 32 stellar users, right? But why are there only twelve users missing? Their last record of being alive was also around 500 hundred years ago. Since Queen Siarah needed the combination of all stellar power to defeat the leader of monsters, they were still alive when the monster was defeated. So… How did they die? Who killed them? And now, why are the two of these users, Lynx and Hydra who were said to have died in the past, still alive today?"

 

Kairi allows them to glare at Rafiz and Dark Hartina and some speculate that both were lying about their identities as their stellar users. Kairi didn't give them a chance to argue about it and continued to answer his own questions.

 

"The reason is that these twelve stellar users aren't actually dead. They were still alive 500 years ago but are no longer in a relationship with us. Why? Because they were captured and forced to give birth to the next generation. Their star's emblems also were confiscated by the enemy and were turned into something dark and gory. After that, they were all killed while the new generation of them was taught to make enemies with us. These new generations I mentioned were called… The Deorc Star... In conclusion, twelve of them were actually our long lost Bright Star members…"

 

"What?!"

 

"No way!"

 

"Your Majesty, is this true?!"

 

"God, this is unbelievable!"

 

The meeting turned into chaos and they all spoke up altogether except for Rafiz and Dark Hartina who went into silent mode. Everyone couldn't believe this and also don't want it to be true.

 

It's hard to take in the shocking news when they had been fighting with each other for a very long time. Some even lost their family members to the Deorc Star. How can this news be acceptable to them now?

 

Ini and Gem hug each other in fear. They don't understand the adult situation around them. They could only shrink themselves on their seats. Kairi who realised their fear instantly shouted at these adults.

 

"Alright, enough! I will answer you guys one by one. But, what I said is the truth behind the missing of our family members. Whether you accept it or not, they are our family and I won't abandon them to the Deorc Star any longer. We will rescue them and turn them back to Bright Star users!" Kairi was determined to follow his desires.

 

Everyone was stunned and slowly went into silence again. Some even apologise for their temper.

 

Kairi sighs. "You know, our true enemy is not a human. He's a monster but not from the same group that was defeated by our ancestors. This monster is also not from our world. He is immortal, meaning he can't be killed or defeated. Even then, our power might be able to detain him. But, our only chance to do that was to gather all users again and create something together to detain him. We won't be successful without the twelve users' help. We need them, do you understand?"

 

Some swallowed after looking at Kairi's serious expression and gasped after finding out about their true enemy identity.

 

"Your Majesty, who exactly is he in the Deorc Star? He must have changed himself into a human being, right?" Leo asked calmly.

 

"Who do you think would be able to control all the Deorc Star?" Kairi asked back.

"Dark Revier!" Libra and several people gasped while saying his name.

 

"Correct. It's Dark Revier but his real name is Revioryx. He is also the one who captured the twelve users in the past and turned them into what they are now. He is the one we must defeat to save this world."

 

"My god. So all this time we were fighting with a monster. It seems to me that history is repeating itself again." Virgo said which was agreeable to some people.

 

"True. But Your Majesty, how do you know all this? There wasn't a record about it." Auriga was confused.

 

"How do I know that? It's because my teacher, Ziphoteninx, lived for more than a thousand years and he's the one who brought me to the past to learn about the truth. He is also not an ordinary wolf, okay? So, don't make him angry. His power is greater than mine." Kairi told them about Ziphoteninx.

 

All of them gawked while looking at him in bewilderment.

 

"Your Majesty, you said you went to the past…?" Perseus asked. She captured the important point of his sentences.

 

Kairi nodded. "Yes, and I can't change the past even if I want to. It would lead to a more disastrous event for our time if I do that. Perhaps, some of you might not exist in this current time."

 

Everyone understood his meaning and went into silence. Kairi lets them think about it while he makes the two dark emblems appear on his hands. They all instantly eyed it.

 

"Lynx, Hydra, I'm sorry… The dark power inside these emblems cannot be destroyed by me. If I do that, your stellar spirits will die because my power is too strong for them and may alert the monster that is guarding them. The only way to save them is that you both must enter the realm of these emblems and defeat the monsters residing in them. Do you think you can do it?" Kairi looked at Rafiz and Dark Hartina.

 

Rafiz and Dark Hartina were shocked. Even everyone there also looked the same.

 

"Monsters?! There are monsters in these emblems, Your Majesty?" Virgo asked with a disbelieving expression.

 

"Yes. All the real twelve dark emblems have monsters in them. It also eats the power of their stellar spirits but these monsters are smart. They don't let the stellar spirits die because they still need the stellar spirit power to live. The spirits… They have suffered for a very long time..."

 

Kairi looked sad while stroking the emblems gently. Rafiz and Dark Hartina looked at each other in understanding before they stood up.

 

"Your Majesty, please send us inside. We wanted to save them!" Dark Hartina speaks for them both.

 

"Are you sure? You don't want to think first? Because… The realm of emblems, it was a dangerous place for us humans. You guys might… Lose your life in it."

 

Listening to Kairi's sentences makes Aries, Virgo, and Agi feel worried. They just got reunited with Rafiz and slowly befriended Dark Hartina. Now, Kairi was saying that they might die in it? How can they allow it!

 

Virgo stood up. "Your Majesty, can I help them?"

 

Kairi slowly shakes his head. "Only they can enter because the realm has no restriction to the same power."

 

"So, it means, both have to enter a different realm?" Agi guessed.

 

"Correct."

 

Kairi then looked at Rafiz and Dark Hartina again.

 

"Do you still want to go?"

 

"Yes!"

 

Rafiz and Dark Hartina didn't need time to think through it. What kind of danger they haven't met and they also believe they can do it. The only thing that drives them to do this was because they want to become the real Bright Star users again. If they didn't, how can they help Kairi defeat Revioryx?

 

"There's really nothing we can do for them, Your Majesty?" Aries doesn't want Rafiz and Dark Hartina to get hurt or accidentally die.

 

"There's a way but… I don't know if it'll work."

 

"Your Majesty, please tell us!" Dark Hartina would take any chance they have.

 

"You have to die first."

 

Kairi answered, surprising them.

 

"What?!" Some of them screamed in horror.
