Chapter 57: CHAPTER 57: ESCAPED

"You kill our parents! You must die! Awoo!!!"

 

Ziphoteninx and Kironinx roared before they flew fast and attacked Revioryx with their claws and blast of light and dark from their mouths. Their rapid movement and flapping of their wings almost blew away the other beings there.

 

"My God, what happened to the pups?! They, they…" Gasper gulped when he saw the changes to the pups.

 

Can Rusilac Beast grow that big?! This is the first time he has seen it in his entire thousands of years!

 

Zagan shook his head. "No, they can't grow this big. What just happened?" 

 

"Move back! Their battles are dangerous for us!" Barrinos ordered them.

 

"Sir, something is glowing in Revioryx's stomach!" One of the angels told Barrinos.

 

Barrinos snapped his head toward it. He was shocked. Everyone there also looked the same. 

 

Zagan and Fina eyed each other. They can feel a familiar presence coming from it.

 

"Zagan, do you think it's our children?" Fina couldn't help but guess.

 

Zagan slightly nodded. "I can feel the light presence is similar to our children. They, they must be there!"

 

But, he can't get close to the battle. A wave of fierce pressure was released from the beasts. He would get injured and it would not be just a light injury.

 

"Their power… It's not power from a normal beast. It was like it was injected with another powerful energy." Zagan thought quietly.

 

"Ziphoteninx, the children are there!" Kironinx telepathy Ziphoteninx.

 

This was the first time he called his sibling's name with the name that was given by Shiroi. The name connected them to the children and they loved the name. Moreover, they were still nameless since they were born. 

 

The Rusilac Beast usually named themselves when they felt it was the right time. However, for Ziphoteninx and Kironinx the name given by their friends was an honour. So, they would use the name from this moment on until their death.

 

"I know! Kironinx, you bait him to open his mouth and I will enter it." Ziphoteninx replied while slashing one of Revioryx's eyes.

 

But, the eye has no scratch. It was like it was protected by a powerful shield.

 

Kironinx nodded and went for Revioryx's mouth. He snarled and bit the skin of the mouth. Revioryx growled and went to bite him. He didn't realise he gave an opening for Ziphoteninx to flash himself inside his mouth and it was too late for him to do anything.

 

Ziphoteninx flew inside after turning his size into a smaller one. His wings speed up to Revioryx's stomach but he almost crashes with many tentacles that appear to grab on him. He cut them with his wind slash from his flapped wings. Without stopping his movement, he also glided through them.

 

The first thing he felt was disgust when he arrived in Revioryx's stomach. Unknown black things with dark green-blue slimy slowly crawl towards a small light on the inner side of the stomach. There were many of them stuck to it and gathered more and more into a sickening bawl of crawling things. It was like many worms moving in a place.

 

"These things are eating the children's power! I must destroy them!"

 

A light fire came out of his mouth and blasted the things into ashes. He quickly burns them that were surrounding the light. 

 

"Damn it! There were too many! And they would birth a new one to replace the dead!" Ziphoteninx was getting angry.

 

"Ziphoteninx? Is that you?" 

 

A voice of a male adult suddenly sounded in his mind.

 

Ziphoteninx was stunned. "Shi, Shiroi…?" 

 

He was just testing because the voice aura has a similar presence as Shiroi.

 

"It's me… How's everyone outside…?" 

 

Shiroi can tell that a lot of angels and beings were outside right now. And their parents too.

 

"Revioryx is too strong after getting your power. Tell me, is it you and Kiroki who give us your power?"

 

"No. You are connected to our life and have become our partners. I… Have chosen you while Kiroki chose Kironinx… I'm sorry…" Shiroi explained.

 

Ziphoteninx chuckled and was relieved that the children seemed to be alright. 

 

"You are sorry for forcing us to be your partner?" He asked.

 

"Yes…" Shiroi sounded guilty.

 

"I don't mind and I actually think it is a good thing to be chosen by you. So… What are you?"

 

This was what confused him for a long time. How can Shiroi and Kiroki have such tremendous power all of sudden?

 

"We happened to be…" Kiroki's mature voice whispered to his mind.

 

Ziphoteninx's eyes widened big, followed by his mouth. He looked disbelieving.

 

"Cough… So, you two are now the two of the new leaders predicted by the Angel of Fate? Then, what are you guys idling here for?! Everyone outside was worried sick!" Ziphoteninx scolded and he wanted to focus on the important things right now.

 

"Erm… It's not like we can't free ourselves… But, our bodies seemed to grow too big. Would everyone look at us strangely…?" Shiroi asked awkwardly.

 

Their parents saw them small just this morning and now… 'BOOM!' they have become adults. Do their parents still want them if they look like this?

 

"My god! Have you both become idiots after changing!" Ziphoteninx palmed his face.

 

Shiroi and Kiroki flinch. 

 

Why did they think the crybaby pup had changed into a mature beast? And it is also easy to get angry too.

 

"Enough! Break yourself free already! Can't you see these things are sucking your power?!" Ziphoteninx yelled at them.

 

Kiroki sighed. "Let's go, Shiroi. I still hope our parents still love us."

 

"Okay…"

 

A burst of light explodes and shines everything in the stomach. Revioryx felt his stomach bloat and then he realised his power was getting weaker.

 

No! The children were gone from his body!

 

Suddenly, a net of chains of light covered all of his body. He also felt two unknown beings with huge power appear in front of him. He and everyone there looked astounded by the beings' presence. Not to mention, they have similar faces and great pressure was coming from them.

 

"Revioryx, for eating and harming us, I, the newborn Angel of Justice will condemn you to a deeper vault in Hell!" 

 

One of the beings said aloud. His sharpened vertical purplish eyes stared at Revioryx seriously. His hair was long and deep black with a purple amulet covering his forehead. Even his attire was black and decorated with purple accessories.

 

After his sentences, many blades made of red auras appeared on his right and left, covering the sky around them. He moved his hand towards Revioryx and all the blades followed. Their pointed end was aimed at him.

 

As for another being beside him. He has long shining red hair. He has no amulet on his forehead but at the top of his ears have accessories in the shape of wings. His slender body was covered in white gold long attire with red accessories. A see-through mafela was worn from his left to right torso. His red-gold eyes were gentle but anyone who saw them felt the pressure in them.

 

On both being's backs, a pair of wings were similar to the two beings they have met before. The wings were clear with the pattern of the universe and stars swirling in it.

 

"These two new angels, could they be…?! Their wings matched those two angels of the past so it must be them!" Barrinos gawked when he realised the truth.

 

"Zagan, our children!" Fina gasped in tears. There were tears of happiness.

 

Of course, they recognise their children from their aura, even if their body has changed from a child to an adult. And unbelievably, Shiroi and Kiroki were the chosen leaders that had been predicted by the Angel of Fate. 

 

Zagan's reddened eyes looked very proud and happy for his children who were still alive. As for the position as leader of the angels, he thought it was fate that had been decided for them and accepted it accordingly.

 

"Began the sentence!" Kiroki spoke and all the blades swiftly moved towards Revioryx.

 

Revioryx roared and swiped his hands and tails at them but the blades avoided it like they were alive. They hit the net and burrow deeper. The net was made from Shiroi power and he kept staring at it. He must ensure Revioryx can no longer break free. Or, it would be very troublesome to catch him again if he's escaped.

 

Ziphoteninx, who got larger again and Kironinx, who was on standby, ran to Revioryx to hold him down so Shiroi and Kiroki can cage Revioryx again and then bring him to his new prison deeper in Hell. 

 

However, Revioryx, who has planned for a very long time also has a trump card. It can be done when he is free from his chain. Now, it was his chance while everyone was focusing on his huge body.

Shiroi noticed something was wrong when he felt a small shadow escape from the net he made.

 

"Ziphoteninx, don't let him leave!" Shiroi swiftly threw a manifested knife toward the shadow.

 

The shadow glided away before a dimensional portal appeared. Ziphoteninx was too late to stop it and the shadow was gone after he entered the portal.

 

Everyone's eyes widened because of the sudden event.

 

"No, we can't let him escape! Everyone searches for him!" Barrinos ordered.

 

They all moved separately and went into dimensions and places nearby. But after a long time, no one detects where Revioryx has gone to and returns.

 

"I must report to King Zarikei And Queen Junira. This is a disaster level of emergency!" Barrinos told Zagan and the others.

 

"Please. We're counting on you."

 

Barrinos nodded and disappeared along with his group. 

 

Gasper groans. "Oh my god. We are in really deep trouble!"

 

"Shut up, Gasper! If we don't find out now we will still find out later." Zagan glared at him.

 

Then, he looked at his sons. His sons looked awful. They just got their power as the leader of angels and the first thing that happened was that one of the biggest criminals of Hell had escaped their clutches. They also felt they have failed everyone.

 

Ziphoteninx and Kironinx looked at them and whimpered with their ears down. They also felt their friends' feelings. A moment later, their bodies shrink to a Rusilac Beast's size. Shiroi and Kiroki landed beside them with guilty faces. 

 

They flinched when they heard footsteps from behind and knew who they belonged to.

 

"Shiroi? Kiroki?" Fina called their names.

 

"... Mom…" Shiroi turns his head slowly to his parents along with Kiroki.

 

"Dad… We're sorry… We failed you…" Kiroki apologised.

 

Zagan and Fina finally understood what troubled them and hurriedly hugged them each. They need to tiptoe a bit due to their sons' adult forms being taller than them. Shiroi and Kiroki's eyes widened and slowly bowed a little for their parents to hold them.

 

"It's not both of your faults. This must have been planned by Revioryx for a very long time. He was just taking his time to escape Hell and you happen to be his target." Zagan told them.

 

"But…" Kiroki and Shiroi looked miserable.

 

"No but. You both just awakened your power and it was kind of impossible to fight against an ancient monster." Zagan shook his head.

 

"You've done enough by being alive. I am glad to see you both are fine." Fina sobbed.

 

"Mom…" Shiroi and Kiroki hugged her and Zagan.

 

Ziphoteninx and Kironinx stared at their family. They suddenly missed their parents who had just passed away. 

 

"Please don't be sad, chief! Your parents want you to be stronger and you did!" Vagran got closer to them.

 

The other Rusilac Beast also got near. Then, all of them bowed to the two of them.

 

"You are now our leader! Please guide us!" Vagran said.

 

Ziphoteninx and Kironinx looked at each other.

 

"We are family. And we will follow our partners, Shiroi and Kiroki."

 

"Yes!"

 

After that, everyone was called to the high ground where the leader of angels resided. The gathering was to discuss how Revioryx escaped and also to celebrate the birth of their new leaders.

 

Back to the mortal world, current time…

 

Kairi and Rafiz opened their eyes wide and blinked. Since their heads were facing one another, they see each other first after they woke up.

 

"Kairi…"

 

"Rafiz…"

 

"Oh my god!" Both suddenly hugged each other tightly.

 

They would have never thought they would get their memories back. And the scene they saw in their dream horrified them. Especially Revioryx's true form.

 

"We must hurry and gather the 32 stellar users," Kairi stated seriously after letting Rafiz go.

 

Rafiz nodded. "We must defeat Revioryx now that he is weakened."

 

"Huh? Are you sure he is weakened? The past was more than a thousand years ago. By the way, the leader of angels… Do you think they will come to help us defeat Revioryx?"

 

"You mean the newly awakened angels of the king and the queen? I don't even know why we saw their past."

Rafiz was confused.

 

His eyes went to Kironinx behind him who was still in slumber. "But, why do I feel familiar with him?" He continued in his mind.

 

Kairi gasped and Rafiz turned to him again.

 

"What?" Rafiz asked.

 

"Ziphoteninx called me Shiroi before and let me use that name. Do you think he means that I…" Kairi seemed to guess something.

 

Rafiz's eyes widened too. Now that he thinks about it, why did Kironinx follow him around? And it was the same for Ziphoteninx to follow Kairi.

 

"You've got to be kidding me…" Rafiz felt unbelievable.

 

"Erm… I guess we are the twins who were sent to this world with the mission to capture Revioryx again." Kairi smiled awkwardly.

 

After the meeting with the leaders of angels, everyone searched for Revioryx's whereabouts. They finally found him five hundred years ago in the mortal world. Later, Shiroi volunteered to capture him and Kiroki agreed to help as well.

 

"And no wonder I felt so protective about you when I met you for the first time. You are my brother by blood all along… In another realm." Rafiz shook his head while he chuckled.

 

"Yes…" Kairi sighed. Then, he got serious. "Are you ready for tomorrow?"

 

"You don't have to remind. My answer will still be the same and… Haha! I feel like everything is a dream. Look, I made friends with the person who destroyed our memories."

 

Kairi chuckled. "Please don't hurt him. He has enough pain to deal with. He even helps to protect you from Revioryx. I have forgiven him so you must do the same, Rafiz."

 

Rafiz smiled. "I have forgiven him once I got my memories back. The past is the past. I would not blame him anymore… Let's sleep. It's three in the morning right now." He saw the clock on the wall showing the time.

 

Kairi nodded and laid back on the long sofa. His eyes hadn't closed yet because he was watching Rafiz lay down on the opposite side.

 

"What? Go to sleep." Rafiz mouthed to him.

 

"Good night, brother." Kairi grinned.

 

"Heh! Good night, little brother."

 

They closed their eyes but they snapped open again.

 

"Oh, damn!" Both shouted together and sat on the sofa quickly.

 

Both eyed each other with anxiety and worries.

 

"We forgot about dad!"
