Chapter 64: CHAPTER 64: CARING

"You! What did you do to my sister?!" Dark Amilia appeared suddenly near Kairi and Dark Reammut.

 

She saw Kairi was talking to her little sister while she was flying in the sky. Her sister's expression looked wrong and she abruptly had a bad feeling. When Kairi's body shone in the light, she instantly went there fast. After the light was gone, her sister's body had already slumped on the ground and Kairi was walking toward her.

 

Kairi who heard her yelling looked at her. He was just about to lift Dark Reammut on his shoulder but had to release her again when Dark Amilia used her power to make the ground beneath him shake, lifted from the ground and then became sharp thorns. The thorns attacked him. 

 

Kairi dodged away and saw the ground enveloping Dark Reammut in it. And Dark Amilia was running towards him angrily.

 

"Ah, it seems she's also one of our Bright Star users. And apparently, she is Tucana's sister." Kairi just realised who Dark Amilia was to Dark Reammut.

 

He smiled after learning that Dark Amilia loves her sister as much as Dark Reammut, who doesn’t want to admit it. He disappeared and let Dark Amilia take away Dark Reammut. He reappeared again in the air beside Ziphoteninx. Now, he just needs to see how Dark Reammut receives her power.

 

"Kairi, are you aware that all the Bright Star users have gathered?" Asked Ziphoteninx

 

Kairi nodded. "Yes, I can feel all of them are here."

 

"You must quickly gather them together and capture Revioryx. I have gotten a message that the Heaven Troops will arrive soon to help us trap him."

 

Kairi was surprised. "I thought there would be restrictions for high beings to come here."

 

"Yes, but they will reduce their strength and power when coming here. They will not be in their full power. Hopefully, with our numbers against Revioryx alone, we can capture him this time and lock him up deeper in Hell. So, you hurry up and bring all the Bright Star's users together. This might be our only chance to defeat him."

 

Kairi was silent for a moment. "I'll try. It's kinda hard if they don't trust me, you know?" 

 

He meant all the other nine Deorc Star users who still haven't been on their side might not believe him. He was surprised when someone attacked him and Ziphoteninx with a red laser beam. He dodged away and finally saw the person who attacked them.

 

"Revioryx!"

 

"Planning to bring me down, huh? Wait for another million years!" Revioryx told him and then grabbed Kairi's neck and threw him to the ground.

 

Kairi didn't panic and changed his position to land safely on the ground. His fall caused the ground around him to crack widely. Ziphoteninx growled and went to bite Revioryx's head after he flashed close behind him. 

 

Revioryx, who knows his attack, moves downward and aims his hands to bring out a dark laser beam toward Ziphoteninx. Ziphoteninx escapes the laser beam and swings his transformed steel tail to Revioryx. Kairi jumped up again and his hands appeared with two swords which he had used before when he wanted to save Rafiz from Dark Hartina and Dark Howlan.

 

One of the swords was black with its blade surrounded by a green light that lines zig-zag to the end of the blade. The other one was white with aquamarine crystal embedded in the middle between its sharp blades.

 

Kairi makes an 'X' slash laser toward Revioryx with his swords. Revioryx released another laser beam to Kairi's attack. The clash between the laser explodes in the air. Everyone there realised the battle between their kings had started. There were many expressions on their faces but most showed expectations and hoped their king would win.

 

"Kairi..." 

 

Aries and her friends felt nervous seeing their battle. They can't help Kairi because their hands were full of Deorc Star users and their soldiers attacking them.

 

"Dark Reammut! Dark Reammut! Sister!" Dark Amilia called to Dark Reammut while shaking her body.

 

She was a little scared when Dark Reammut still didn't open her eyes after her call. She only felt relief that her sister was still alive but worried because Dark Reammut didn't wake up.

 

"Dark Amilia, stop. Let's take her to Dark Undria, okay?" Dark Kage touched one of Dark Amilia's shoulders while Dark Ceilius nodded his head.

 

Dark Amilia turned to them with tears streaming down her face. Her tears startled them because this was the first time they saw it. Her expression right now also looks very vulnerable.

 

"What if he can't treat Dark Reammut?! I'm going to kill him! He has done something to my sister!" Dark Amilia was enraged as she hugged Dark Reammut tightly.

 

The person she wants to kill right now was Kairi.

 

"We will help you get your revenge later. But don't you think Dark Reammut looks like she lacks sleep? Her face also looks pale though." Dark Ceilius commented.

 

Dark Amilia turned to anguish. She knows but her sister dislikes her. And she knows the reason for it.

 

"Well, let's send her to Dark Undria. She can rest in the treatment camp while we get revenge for her." Dark Kage suggested.

 

He didn't want to dawdle longer because they were on the battlefield. Anything can happen to them if they don’t leave now.

 

"Okay…"

 

Dark Kage helped Dark Amilia to support Dark Reammut. The three disappeared from there and appeared near their treatment tent. It was located far away from the war in the Beilton Kingdom. In that location, several tents were provided to treat their soldiers wounded during the war. 

 

Dark Undria examines Dark Reammut.

 

"She doesn't look like she is injured. There are no damaged bones either. But she seems to be in a deep sleep. Maybe… She really is tired. Look, her face is paler than me and I am more white than you all. I think she doesn't have enough sleep." He concluded.

 

Dark Amilia glared at him. "No, I saw that bastard leader of Bright Star do something to her. She fainted after he let out a white light!"

 

Dark Undria frowned. "Seems there is something wrong with her then… Leave her here. I'll try to treat her. So, go back to the battlefield."

 

"We're counting on you, Dark Undria." Dark Kage replied and then pushed Dark Amilia out of the treatment tent.

 

Dark Ceilius follows after them.

 

Elsewhere …

 

"Draco, do we really need to fight each other?" Pegasus asked as he pushed aside Dark Kurumi's weapon.

 

"For now, yes." Dark Kurumi replied and slammed the sword that was not his main weapon into Pegasus' greatsword.

 

"Tsk! You want to challenge me, huh?" Pegasus narrowed his eyes at Dark Kurumi.

 

Dark Kurumi smirked. "Can you even beat me?"

 

Pegasus didn't reply, instead, he summoned his invisible greatswords and attacked Dark Kurumi repeatedly. Dark Kurumi only plays along with him. Still, their attack was fierce and fast.

 

About fifteen kilometres away from them, there was also an area for Bright Star's treatment tent. Aquarius and Pisces helped each other to treat their wounded soldiers.

 

"Aquarius, Pisces, come help me! The new batch needs our help!" Agi called them.

 

"Aquarius, you go with Agi first! I'll come later!" Pisces was healing a wounded soldier with her stellar power.

 

Aquarius nodded and ran to the new group of wounded soldiers. Some people who were from the medical team also follow her and Agi. There were more than 10 soldiers with heavy injuries. They were brought away from the battlefield by their teammate who left after sending them there.

 

While at that…

 

Aries, Virgo, Aquila and Lyra were dodging the attacks coming from Dark Ceilius, Dark Kage, Dark Amilia and Dark Chronos. They also return their attacks. Aries and Virgo were seen fighting against Dark Ceilius and Dark Kage while Lyra and Aquila fought against Dark Amilia and Dark Chronos.

 

"Lyra, Aquila! Behind you!" Virgo yelled when he saw his opponent, Dark Ceilius, attack Lyra and Aquila by throwing many sharp thorns of ice at them.

 

Aquila hugged Lyra and used his teleportation power to escape.

 

"Tsk! I hate such power." Dark Ceilius growled in irritation.

 

"Heh! You're the one who didn't successfully ambush them." Dark Kage smirk.

 

"Shut up!" Dark Ceilius glared at him.

 

Dark Amilia, who heard their banter, rolled her eyes at them.

 

"Hurry up and finish them. I want to kill him next!" She barked at them.

 

"Right…" 

 

Dark Ceilius and Dark Kage continued their attack and they found Aries and Virgo, who got separated before, were now grouping with Aquila and Lyra.

 

"Gah! Now, look! They're reunited because of you!" Dark Kage scolds Dark Ceilius.

 

"Shut up!"

 

Virgo shoots them with his weapon. He panted a little due to the exhaustion of the long battle with those three punks.

 

"Damn it! It's hard like this. Moreover, the other one doesn't seem to want to fight seriously. He wasn't one of us."

 

Virgo looked at Dark Chronos. He realised that other than the three enemies who were the formal Bright Star users, Dark Chronos wasn't one of them. He also felt this person was idling while waiting for something to happen. 

 

Dark Chronos looked bored. Still, he was amused by the other Deorc Star users near him who were now starting to quarrel with each other. 

 

Didn't they know they act like children in front of their enemies? They even pause their battles because of it.

 

"Urgh… I don't want to be here. Where's Dark Reammut gone to? I want to be with her…"

 

Then, he noticed Virgo, Aries, Lyra and Aquila were staring at him with a confused expression. His head tilted to the right while he wondered what they were thinking about him. 

 

He knew he looked handsome and neat, unlike these three troublemakers. His funny thoughts made him chuckle.

 

"What's up? I'm Dark Chronos if you want to know that badly."

Virgo and others were startled. They felt strange because Dark Chronos was never seen by them before. They only know his name from Dark Hartina.

 

Dark Chronos grins. "I guess you are wondering about the power I inherited, huh? Sure, I'll show you."

 

Aries, Virgo, Lyra and Aquila began to be wary of him. Dark Chronos summoned a black star-shaped diagram in front of him. His right hand went inside the diagram and pulled out one box the size of his palm. He threw it to the ground.

 

Dark Ceilius, Dark Amilia and Dark Kage, who noticed his actions, finally stopped arguing. A small smile appeared on their lips.

 

Aries, Virgo, Lyra and Aquila were startled when the box became larger instantly and opened. Inside, someone they recognised surprised them.

 

"Ge, General Leo?!"

 

"Attack them." Dark Chronos ordered.

 

Leo, who came out of the box, flashed to them so fast and attacked them. They were shocked and tried to dodge but they were too late. Virgo and Aquila, who were unfortunately in front, were attacked first. The two of them were hit by his powerful punches.

 

"Virgo!" 

 

"Aquila!" 

 

Aries and Lyra screamed in horror before they were startled when Leo strangled their neck suddenly. Virgo and Aquila groaned in pain while they were on the ground. They were anxious when they saw Aries and Lyra's situation.

 

"Lyra..." Aquila wanted to move but the punches to his torso hurt him so much that he vomited some blood.

 

"Urgh..." Aries and Lyra began to feel suffocated.

 

Suddenly, someone who was running so fast kicked Leo's back and caught Aries and Lyra who wanted to fall before he jumped away. Dark Chronos and his group were startled by that person's arrival.

 

"Are you two okay?" Gemini was the one who appeared to help Aries and Lyra.

 

When he flashes and appears again, Virgo and Aquila were brought to them.

 

"Thank you, Gemini…" Aries was so glad to see him.

 

Not only that, two more people appear in front of them. It was Canis and Centaurus.

 

"What is he? He's not the real General Leo." Centaurus stared at Leo.

 

Everyone knew Leo couldn't be in this area. He was leading the armies annihilating the enemy's armies.

 

"He was summoned by him." Virgo points to Dark Chronos.

 

"Dark Chronos...?" Canis never met Dark Chronos before but felt a dangerous vibe coming from him.

 

Dark Chronos chuckled. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

 

Then, he clapped his hands and three more star diagrams appeared in his hands.

 

"Gemini, stop him! Don't let him pop the box out of his hands!" Virgo immediately ordered him.

 

Gemini didn't ask why and went to attack Dark Chronos but his run was blocked by an ice wall surrounding Dark Chronos.

 

"Heh! Are you forgetting we are here too?" Dark Ceilius chided.

 

"Damn it!" Gemini gritted his teeth before he dodged a quick kick toward him.

 

His eyes widened at the sight of someone resembling him.

 

"What the heck?!"

 

Virgo and his friends also were shocked to see not only another Gemini has appeared but also Centaurus and Canis. The three of them now stood facing them all. The fake Leo was behind them.

 

"This is indeed a nightmare..." Aquila commented.

 

Dark Amilia laughed at their reaction.

 

"Hey, Dark Chronos. Maybe you should add replicas of Virgo, Aries, Lyra and Aquila. I want to see which one is going to win." She told Dark Chronos.

 

She was intrigued by it.

 

"Sure." Dark Chronos summoned four more replicas, like four of them.

 

Virgo swallowed and his face let out a sweat. As soon as Dark Chronos yelled to attack, all the replicas followed and attacked the people who resembled them. Leo’s replica was withdrawn by Dark Chronos.

 

Virgo and the others realised that their replicas also have the same type of power as them, making them more fearful of Dark Chronos's power.

 

"Done. Now, may I ask if you see Dark Reammut anywhere?" Dark Chronos turns to Dark Kage, Dark Amilia and Dark Ceilius.

 

Dark Amilia's face turned gloomy. "She's at the treatment unit."

 

The answer startled Dark Chronos.

 

"Wha, What happened to her? Who manages to hurt her?!" Dark Chronos starts to get angry.

 

"Their leader! He did something to her and she didn't wake up. I must get my revenge for her!" Dark Amilia gritted her teeth while glaring at the Bright Star users.

 

Dark Chronos' eyes shrank. His heart beating anxious for Dark Reammut and anger rises up from knowing who hurt her. 

 

"Kill them all." He ordered his replicas. 

 

Immediately, all the colours of the replica iris snapped red and their bodies gave off dark auras.

 

Virgo and his friends were startled as the strength and speed of all the replicas increased. Dark Chronos didn't want to wait and see them all killed. He wanted to check on Dark Reammut's condition and went to leave the area.

 

"Where are you going?" Dark Kage looked at him.

 

"Finding someone." 

 

Dark Kage didn't know which one. He thought of only two answers. One was Dark Reammut and the other was Kairi. It could be the latter since he can feel the furious aura coming from him. 

 

Should he go help? 

 

But, Dark Chronos never liked anyone near him other than Dark Reammut. And he also knows that Dark Chronos secretly likes her. And he let it be. It's none of his business anyway.

 

Dark Chronos flew up and went to the treatment tent. When he got there, he was startled by a loud scream coming from one of the tents. 

 

His face turned pale because he recognized the owner of the voice. He immediately flashes inside the tent and sees Dark Reammut was being held by Dark Undria and two of his assistants. They were trying to calm her, who was moaning and screaming about something. But her eyes were still closed and they guessed something was wrong with her.

 

"What are you trying to do to her?!" Dark Chronos shouted angrily when he saw one of them was holding a syringe.

 

"Dark Chronos, shut up! Go wait outside! I am in the middle of treating her!" Dark Undria didn't turn his head to him.

 

He already noticed his presence earlier. Dark Chronos didn't listen and approached them. He grabbed the man with the syringe and pushed him away from Dark Reammut. He also disliked everyone there for touching her.

 

"Dark Chronos! What the hell are you doing?!" Dark Undria was flabbergasted when he was pushed aside forcefully from Dark Chronos' hands.

 

Then, he watched Dark Chronos carry Dark Reammut in princess style while she was struggling against him. He also walked toward the exit of the tent.

 

"Dark Chronos!" Dark Undria yelled at him frustrated.

 

Does he have to show his care and love for her now?! Didn't you see that everyone was watching?!

 

Their chaos gets the attention of their medic team and some soldiers.

 

"She needs treatment! Who knows what the Bright Star leader had done to her!"

 

Dark Undria chases after Dark Chronos but Dark Chronos summons two replicas. One looked like Dark Undria and another was Dark Spincer. He was preventing Dark Undria from approaching him and Dark Reammut.

 

"Dark Chronos, bring her back! Do you want Dark Amilia, Dark Kage and Dark Ceilius to kill you?!" Asked Dark Undria as Dark Chronos flew up.

 

Dark Chronos ignores him and brings Dark Reammut away from the treatment tent and the battlefield. He stopped at a lake, east of Antonia and dropped both of them into the water since this might be the only solution he can think of with Dark Reammut still struggling wildly. He thought maybe the cold water would help her wake up again.

 

The writhing Dark Reammut began to slowly stop her movements once she was in the water. It was then that Dark Chronos raised them back to the surface and carried her to the edge of the lake. He patted Dark Reammut's cheek gently.

 

"Dark Reammut... Dark Reammut, wake up…" He called.

 

Dark Reammut replied with a small moaning sound before her eyes opened slowly and fluttered. She was surprised to see Dark Chronos was close to her face. She immediately pushed him away before she felt cold and wet all over her body.

 

"What the hell?!" She shrieked and was confused.

 

Why is her body wet? What happened?
