Kairi and Aries walked together on the roadside. There were a lot of people coming and going. Most of them were business people and tourists. They have not seen their friends or Ziphoteninx. It seems they were sightseeing somewhere a little far from them.

The Axis City was wide like a metropolitan city and finding people would not be easy unless they were near. Even Aries with power couldn’t sense them. As for Kairi, his senses have turned down due to the curse. So, he too was unable to find them.

“It’s so lively around here,” Aries commented.

Kairi nodded in agreement. “It is autumn now. People love to see the shows that’ll be showing every night during this season. I also heard there will be a lantern festival soon in a nearby village. Would you like to visit there later?”

“I would love to. But… Maybe after everything ends. We can’t lose our focus when Revioryx and the monsters are still around everywhere. And I am worried about something…” She looked at the sea.

They have walked and reached the beach now. The breeze from the sea carries a soft and gentle wind to caress their bodies.

“I know what you mean. This city was built near the sea. And since the Ethina Zone to here was about more than a thousand kilometres, it doesn't mean the escape monsters won’t reach this place… There are also the silent sea monsters as well.” Kairi frowned.

He heard a lot of legends about sea monsters appearing but did not harm anyone. But that doesn't mean they won’t attack if they were threatened. Who knows if this sea monster would get angry at them because the monsters from Ethina Zone touch their home boundary. Their battle might reach the human land though…

“Is this kingdom built without protection?” She asked.

“It should have a defence mechanism. It just never used for a very long time.” Ziphoteninx appears from behind them suddenly.

“Ziphoteninx, where have you been?” Kairi turns around and looks at him.

“Sightseeing. By the way, it seems this city is too peaceful which gets on my nerves.” Ziphoteninx had a bad feeling that something was going to happen soon.

“Sir Ziphoteninx, don’t jinx it.” Aries scolds him.

Ziphoteninx shrugged and huffed. “Just a hunch.”

“Urgh… I think Ziphoteninx is right.” Virgo appears along with Gemini and Cancer.

“What’s wrong? What have you found?” Kairi asked them with a serious expression.

“I don’t know if it’s just us but aren’t the people here too lacking in awareness. They are also too easy going. Didn’t the news about monsters in Dorothia already reach them?” Virgo glanced at the beach people who were having fun swimming and playing beach ball.

“It did.” Cancer nodded his head. “But, they don’t believe us, it seems…” He sighs.

“Hm? Is that why you want us to come here, Kairi? To watch over them?” Aries guessed.

“Not exactly. But, didn’t I say there was a problem with their king?”

“Err, so what’s up with him then?” Gemini asked.

“Let’s find a restaurant first and we’ll talk there.”

Kairi led them to a grand restaurant since he was a little hungry. It was already late for lunch. He orders a private dining room for them and since Aries, Virgo and Gemini don't know how to order through the restaurant system, he orders for them after asking what they want to eat.

Now, they sit at a big table while a few robots prepare their meals.

“What?! Don’t tell me these robots would cook for us!” Virgo exclaimed while looking at a transparent window.

On the other side were a few culinary robots doing the cooking.

“Correct. This city doesn't have many workers because they mostly use robots to do it. But, the robots were directly controlled and ordered by the people who would watch it from their home.”

“God! It sounds to me like they were too lazy to do it or walk here themselves!” Aries complains.

Kairi agreed. “True but it can’t be helped. This is their way of living. The more advanced the technologies mean more leisure for them.”

“No wonder I didn’t see any guards around here. Aren’t they worried about thieves or something?” Gemini wonders.

He only saw robots wearing armour standing stiffly at some checkpoint in the city. Only one or two were humans and they were drinking around in some open tavern.

Ziphoteninx chuckled. “You might not see any humans working in this kingdom in the future. Only people come and go. And it’s no wonder they are not serious about the monsters’ attack. They might be confident with their technologies to protect them.”

Everyone turned their head to him. They think it was true.

"Oh, it's raining… Wait, why did it rain suddenly?" Aries was confused after looking outside through the transparent window.

They were on the fourth floor of the restaurant. Kairi and others immediately stood up. They went near the windows and frowned.

“This is not normal rain! And something in large groups is coming from the sea!” Ziphoteninx told them before he made them all disappear from the room.

He teleports them to the highest building there. Watching from afar they saw a shadow of many beasts swimming toward the city. There were also many strange and big flying beasts above it which was not like a bird at all.

A moment later, a loud sound of an emergency alarm sounded around the city. Instantly, everyone went into a panic and ran away from the beach and near the sea. However, they were gathered by the human and robot guard which led them to an open hole in many places.

Kairi and others were glad to know that there were shelters for them to hide from the upcoming dangers. Then, they saw the top of some skyscrapers and where they were located open from the floor below and brought out a weapon in the shape of a shooter. The shooter aimed their end mouth at the incoming beasts.

At the same time, huge walls appeared from under the sea and surrounded Axis City. The wall was embedded with cannons that were heating up. A minute later, it fired up a laser beam at the incoming monsters. Kairi and his friends had their eyes widened because the laser beam eliminated a lot of monsters in one go. And, they recognised the cannon type.

“God, Dark Kage is the maker of this city!” Virgo exclaimed in shock.

Kairi nodded. “The cannon has the same feature as the one he used to attack us. It seems that Axis City has collaborated with Dark Kage. As for whether Revioryx got involved with it too, it seems, Revioryx didn’t care about it at all. If he did, why did he allow Dark Kage to build many technologies that may give him some troubles later?”

“Kairi, do you think Dark Kage is here?” Aries asked since this place would be the best place for him to hide from Revioryx.

“No need to say. Look up. They are here all this time.” Kairi moves his head to the sky.

No one was able to see it other than him and Ziphoteninx. The thing was invisible and perhaps was empowered by the power stone. Kairi guessed it was also a type of airship but different from the balloon airship they saw. This one was made with all metal and high materials.

“Heh! It seems they found us too.” Kairi silently smirked.

He saw four people looking at them from the open space inside the airship. They look so exhausted and unhappy though… And he could guess why.

One of the people in the airship that Kairi and Ziphoteninx saw, was a blind woman.

“The leader of the Bright Star is here below us. With him was a supernatural being and four Bright Star users, Aries, Virgo, Gemini and Cancer.” She told the three people beside her.

“Tsk! What are they doing here for?!” A man with a furious temper asked annoyingly.

“Probably to talk to us about Dark Revier?” Another woman guessed while shrugging. “Maybe… Maybe we need to meet them and ask where my little sister is.”

“Would they tell you? They’re still our enemies.” A man with eyeglasses replied.

“But Dark Undria said Dark Reammut emblem changed to the Bright Star emblem and the monster carved on it changed to Tucana. I need to find her! And the only clue I have are these guys!”

“Dark Amilia, please calm down. We all understand your feelings. My hunch said we might find Dark Reammut’s location and the truth behind Dark Revier's betrayal by meeting the leader of the Bright Star. Dark Kage, Dark Ceilius, do you want to follow us and meet him?” The blind woman turned her head to the eyeglasses man and the furious man.

Dark Kage nodded slowly while Dark Ceilius grumbled incoherent words. But that doesn’t mean the latter won’t follow them.

“Good. Then, let us meet with him.”

“Wait, Dark Markia. Are you sure it is safe for you to reveal yourself right now? What if something happens to you? You are after all our huge benefactor. If you hadn't told Dark Kage to create our doppelganger robots ten years ago, we would be dead by now, killed by Dark Revier.” Dark Amilia was a little worried for her safety.

Dark Markia smiles. “I’ll be fine. Meeting the Bright Star’s leader won’t harm me.”

The trio stare at her for a long time before they were attracted by the monster's roars.

“Let’s go. Waiting here all day won’t make us know anything.” Dark Kage said to them and then dropped himself down toward Kairi and his friends.

The others follow him one by one.

“They’re coming,” Kairi told his friends who nodded.

They have seen Dark Kage appear first from something invisible. And finally, they were going to meet the inventor of these technologies.
