Chapter 85: CHAPTER 85: ANGELOTE

"Kairi…?"

 

Aries' eyes widened after taking a look at him. He doesn't look the same as his outer appearance. Even his figure was no longer the same. He was taller and… And his face wasn't ugly at all or can be categorised as handsome. He was… 

 

Beautiful and gorgeous! He even has long hair and a pair of wings!

 

Is this really him?!

 

She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. He still looks like before. But his soft smile and eyes told her this person was him.

 

"Aries, I want to tell you something…" He looked at her gently.

 

He knew her thoughts just from her expression. It can't be helped. This was his soul appearance which she doesn't know.

 

"The thing is I might not remember everything we chat in here. After all, this place is what holds my mind and soul together. But, I crumble a little because of my guilt and hate before. Now that you have made me feel peaceful, I can get rid of Revioryx control of my body outside. So… I hope you forgive the me outside who might become a crybaby later."

 

Aries blinked her eyes after listening to it. The last sentences make her laugh a little. She thinks it will happen.

 

"I see."

 

"Thank you, Aries. Thank you for coming after me. And thank you for giving me your love. I will do my best to make you happy." He told her before he kissed her lips once more.

 

His kiss with such an appearance didn't make her awkward at all because she knew it was him. When she closed her eyes and opened them, she saw the former Kairi was sleeping beside her on her bed again and one of their hands was holding each other.

 

"Kairi." She moved her free hand to touch his face.

 

He no longer looked like he was in control anymore. A few minutes later, she slowly sat up and looked around. It seems she has gone back to reality and was no longer inside Kairi's mind. 

 

She was just surprised to see Rafiz, Dark Kurumi, Ziphoteninx and Kironinx sleeping either on her long sofas or on the floor. They didn't leave and she guessed they were tired or worried about Kairi's circumstances. The room was still a mess after the fight. However, she felt very glad that everything had ended in peace once more.

 

She suddenly felt thirsty and wanted to get up. But before she could, the hand that was held by Kairi pulled her back. She gasped and fell into Kairi's embrace behind her.

 

"Kairi?" She called and wanted to turn her head at him.

 

"Please don't look at me right now. I feel awful." He hid his face on her right shoulder.

 

She realised that he knew what happened and wondered if he also remembered their conversation.

 

"Kairi, what do you remember?" She asked him gently.

 

Her hand went to stroke his hair. She felt him go stiff.

 

"I almost hurt you and, and I hurt them too… God, I feel like I should kill myself. And the most awful thing is that I just ruined my marriage proposal to you!" He whispers in sadness and frustration.

 

"Seems he doesn't know about it…" She thought in silence.

 

Aries nodded her head to answer him. She also indicated that it did ruin the mood at that time. But…

 

"Kairi, let's get married. I don't want to wait any longer." 

 

Her words surprise him and it allows her to turn her head to look at him. She gives him the sweetest smile and kisses his lips lightly.

 

"I love you… And look, you did finish the marriage proposal." She shows him the bangle around her right wrist. 

 

Kairi couldn't believe it. She looked at her with astonishment. He thought she would disagree after seeing his madness and also tried to kill her before. The worst thing he could conjure was Aries rejecting and leaving him.

 

"Kairi?" Aries gasped in surprise.

 

Kairi's tears had come out suddenly and dropped to her palms. He looked so relieved and gazed at her with so much love. He does feel a little shy for shedding tears in front of her and tries to stop it.

 

"I'm sorry, Aries… Just give me a moment…" He sniffed.

 

Aries smiled. Her fingers moved to help him wipe his tears and kissed his lips, then his forehead, nose and cheeks. He looked at her with a deep focus like she was the only one in his world. Aries stares at him too.

 

"You have chosen me so you better take care of me and be responsible for it, okay?"

 

Kairi nodded slightly. "I love you, Aries. Can, Can I marry you…?"

 

"Why are you still doubting me? Of course, I'll love to!" Aries hugs him tightly to her.

 

How could Kairi become so cute right now?

 

This was the weakest moment she could see in him after three years. He had never shown he was vulnerable before. Not even after he lost his powers. 

 

She guessed his uncontrolled body and attacks finally broke the dam of his guilt which he bore alone all this time. For now, she should soothe his emotions first.

 

"Err, we really don't want to break up your two happy worlds but congratulations!" Someone cut their conversation with a big grin.

 

"Yeah… Please don't forget we are still here. And congratulations too." Another person said.

 

Their voices shock Kairi and Aries. They instantly blush deep red before turning their head at Rafiz and Dark Kurumi. They even let go of their hugs to each other. Kairi's expression turned guilty again after looking at them and his eyes went down to his feet.

 

"I, I'm sorry. I punch you both so hard. Are you guys alright?" He asked while glancing at them.

 

Rafiz got close to him and patted his left shoulder. "We're fine. Ziphoteninx already healed us."

 

"Yup! Now, when are you guys going to do your wedding? The faster the better before Revioryx attacks us." Ziphoteninx jumps onto the long sofas to look at them.

 

He and Kironinx too have awakened from their sleeping.

 

Kairi frowned. "Shouldn't we have the wedding after defeating Revioryx?"

 

"No! It's actually better if you guys get married and have children as soon as possible." Kironinx huffed.

 

"Why?" Rafiz asked because he and everyone there was confused.

 

Ziphoteninx looks at them. He sighed heavily.

 

"Do you know why your emblems crack?"

 

Everyone slowly had their eyes widened. They finally understand what Ziphoteninx was indicating. If Kairi died, their powers would disappear along with him but if Kairi had an heir, their power would still be around.

 

"But to have a baby before Revioryx comes to attack is impossible, you know!" 

 

Rafiz scowled and was starting to get angry at these two wolves.

 

"He might come in a few days!" He continued.

"True and that's why we would be depending on Kairi and Aries hard work. With a new heir to the power of all stellars, if something does happen to Kairi and we couldn't defeat Revioryx, you all would still be able to have the power to fight him. If not, the world will be doomed." Kironinx explained.

 

"I don't like this." 

 

Dark Kurumi doesn't like the sound of it. It was like they were predicting that Kairi will die or forcing Aries to have his baby which was impossible in a short time. 

 

Kairi glanced at Aries who also glanced at him.

 

"I think Sir Ziphoteninx and Sir Kironinx are right." Aries telepathy him.

 

"Aries, I hope you are not misunderstood because of them. I love you with all my heart… I'm not marrying you to get an heir that would replace me after my death." 

 

He was worried if Aries thought otherwise. He did think about it before but he forgot about it until now and he doesn't think it was important anymore. If he dies, he dies then. He doesn't want to force any woman to have his heir for the sake of the world.

 

It is wrong!

 

"Kairi, I know. It does make me mad because they told me this kind of thing without filtering their straightforward words. It makes me think that you are trying to make me have your baby so we can still have our powers if you die. I don't like it really but what they want us to do has become our duty and mission to do now. They are right even though I don't like how they ask us to do it." Aries shakes her head with a chuckle.

 

Kairi raised an eyebrow at her. "You truly don't mind their suggestion?"

 

"What suggestions? I do love children and want to see ours playing around me and you. Or do you not like children, Kairi?"

 

"No, I love them! I do want to have my own children with a personality like you or look like you, Aries." He holds her hands in his gently.

 

"Hehe. I want them to look like you too. Then, let's marry and have lots of children, Kairi."

 

Kairi nodded with a happy smile. He kissed her again. After that, he turned his head toward all of them who were also watching him and Aries in silence. 

 

Rafiz and Dark Kurumi realised it was these two decisions to make, not them. So, they just wait around because it seems Kairi and Aries were having mind conversations.

 

"Me and Aries will have our wedding as soon as possible. But, can we make it small because I don't want to endanger Aries or spread our wedding until it reaches Revioryx' ears." Kairi told them their decision.

 

"Then, we should just let you both marry under the God of Marriage, Saffrina with her blessing. I'll call her to come tonight. And you both hurry and prepare yourself. We still have about five hours before sundown." Ziphoteninx looked at him and Aries.

 

"What?! Isn't that too fast?!" Rafiz was shocked while Dark Kurumi's eyes bulged out.

 

"What'd you think, Aries?" Kairi was okay with the arrangement.

 

Aries nodded. "I'm a little nervous but I agree to have our marriage earlier."

 

"Wait, wait! Some of our friends are still in the Eridan Kingdom. Even dad is not here! You can't just marry without inviting them all!" Rafiz scolds while looking at them.

 

"Then, Rafiz, please go tell them. You too, Draco, please tell the Deorc Star users in Econia." Kairi smirks.

 

He can't leave since he needs to take Aries to get their wedding clothes somewhere in Antonia City. There must be a ready-made pair so they both need to look for it fast.

 

Ziphoteninx didn't want to waste more time, so he disappeared to go to the Heaven realm. As for Rafiz and Draco, they had to run fast to their respective friends in Eridan, Antonia and Econia to tell the news. And Kironinx, he was taking protection duty on Kairi and Aries while helping them find a wedding cloth store.

 

While they were searching around, a man with his group of five others was dining in one of the still open taverns. The other tavern has closed due to fear and safety since Dorothia's attacks. Some residents were still hiding in the shelters prepared for them before the war while the rest went back to Antonia to live. It's just that they felt unusual living in Antonia again, which was now inside a big hole.

 

"To think that we would escape here because Eridan got destroyed by some monsters…" One of the men in the group said while chunking down his wine.

 

Another man with light brown eyes chuckled. He had his legs resting on another chair while his cowboy hat slowly closed his eyes that wanted to take a small nap. His short black hair can be seen after the hat moves.

 

"Oi, look. What a beautiful pair of couples. Huh? They even have time to set a wedding cloth during this dangerous time? What a strange couple…" A man with a scratch on his cheeks told the others.

 

The man with the cowboy hat laughed at his words. Since he was a little curious, he moved his hat to take a look. His eyes widened after he saw them. Especially the woman. So, he quickly disappears and appears outside the tavern, surprising his group of friends.

 

"Aries? Aries, is that you?" He asked the woman who turned around to his call.

 

"Angelote?" Aries replied with eyes showing disbelief.

 

Kairi beside her looks at the man who appears. He was a little surprised because he too recognised this man from Aries' memories. This man was one of Aries' childhood best friends and they were still in contact with each other. But they would meet in two or more years.

 

Why? That's because Angelote likes to travel around the world and visit her if he comes to Syarantonia.

 

"Oh, god. You look older than four years ago!" Angelote exclaimed.

 

"Hey! I'm not old!" Aries grunted before she chuckled.

 

"Kairi, this is Angelote. Angelote, this is my… Husband-to-be, Kairi. We're going to get married tonight!" Aries was shy to say it.

 

Angelote's mouth opened wide, same for his eyes too. 

 

"Married?!" He yelled in shock.

 

"You, a tomboy girl, are getting married? Why couldn't I believe this." Angelote moves his head to look at the sky.

 

He was wondering if it would rain today.

 

"Hey, I can marry too if I want!" Aries glared at him. 

 

"I'm inviting you since you're here. But, you don't have to come if you don't want to. Let's go, Kairi!" She took one of Kairi's arms and walked them away.

 

"Ah, wait, Aries, I'm just kidding! I will come to your wedding!" 

 

Angelote chased after them and stood in front of them to stop them. He coughed when he realised his actions looked like a little kid.

 

"Err, so, how did you guys meet?" He looked at Kairi.

 

"Kidnapped," Kairi answered and made Aries let out a small laugh.

 

"Huh?" Angelote doesn't understand.

 

"We met during a kidnapping incident," Aries explained.

 

"Ah, I see. So who got kidnapped? Someone's children?"

 

Kairi and Aries glanced at each other with a smile.

 

"Both of us." They said simultaneously.

 

Angelote's eyes twitched. "I think… I'm going back to drink. See you both tonight…" 

 

He felt a little exhausted with this couple's strange answers and walked away but he turned back again. He forgot something.

 

"Where is the wedding venue again?"
