Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Stand Alone.

Right now, Sir Grayson and Ruby are fighting one mammoth each while Sir Robert, Mr. Wyatt and Mr. Dylan are fighting the last mammoth.

"Axe rend, axe slash, axe combo" Ruby have been moving around the mammoth while avoiding the mammoth attack. The mammoth is getting injured but she cannot kill the mammoth.

"I can't use my final move right now, what do we do?" Ruby shouted.

"Hold on Ms. Ruby, we need to hold the monster as long as we can." Sir Grayson right now fighting with another mammoth just like Ruby he manages to injure it but can't kill it because of the mammoth's thick fur and skin at the same time he needs to avoid the attack from mammoth long tusks and trunk.

"We also can't hold on." Sir Robert, Mr. Wyatt and Mr. Dylan can't even injure the mammoth because they have almost run out of mana and aura.

"Let's regroup and think of an idea." Sir Grayson says.

Suddenly all three of the mammoth use trampling charge, Ms. Ruby, Sir Robert, Sir Robert and Mr. Wyatt manage to evade the attack but Mr. Dylan can't evade the attack in time by the mammoth and sent flying and get embedded to the ground, they don't know if he still alive or not.

"Retreat! Let's go save Mr. Dylan." They found Dylan but barely breathing.

"What to do now?" Ruby says.

"Let's return to the city first."

"Roar." The three mammoths start to chase after the master.

"Let's hurry."

"Ice wall." The mammoth crashes toward the ice wall, the wall manages to withstand the impact.

"Who is that?" Grayson says.

Behind the ice wall stands a person wearing a happy mask with mage robe.

9 years ago, one man was trapped inside a secret chamber by a dead grand master. Sylas thought learning magic is easy but it's already one year and he failed to sense any mana. If he cannot sense mana that means he is not gifted as a mage and be trapped inside the secret chamber forever. He is already in despair but he remembers his life before coming to this world he has nothing to lose, he starts to think inside the chamber what type element inside the secret chamber have. The answer is that he got earth, darkness and cold, after a few failed attempts he finally can sense mana and the first magic that he learns is ice magic.

"I don't know, but I feel I have seen him before." Ruby says.

"Let's see how long you can withstand my attack, ice spear." Sylas flew at the sky and created thousands of Ice spears and launched them at the three mammoths. The mammoth tries to destroy the ice spear but it is futile. Each ice spear pierce through the mammoth's thick fur and skin, no blood is coming out from the mammoth because the blood gets frozen by the ice spear. After a while all the mammoths stop moving and fall down, Sylas stores the mammoth carcass inside space storage.

"I used around half of my mana to defeat the three mammoths, not a bad result."

"Senior, thank you for saving us and the city." Grayson says.

"Yes, thank you senior." All of them thanks Sylas.

"Teleport." Sylas disappear.

"It's already enough for that senior to defeat the three mammoths. We can't ask for more, do you know any master that wears a Happy mask?" Ruby says.

"I never heard any report about master that wear a Happy mask, let's return to the city and carry Mr. Dylan." Grayson says.

Itrisa city, the situation on the wall is not very good, the casualty is dire. After Duke Gabriel found out he had sent emergency messages inside and outside of the city asking for help after the message came out almost all of the civilians that can fight and combatants that try fishing in murky water start to help on the wall because if the wall falls all of them will die.

Ryan and the team have been fighting nonstop ever since, Sylas teleports them inside the city.

"I almost ran out of explosion potion and Freeze potion." Luna says.

"Here, take my explosion potion and stay close to Everly." Levi says.

"Ryan, I think we need to retreat." Everly say.

"Our escape path has been closed, we need to hold on, until senior return."

Right now on the wall, almost overrun by monsters, the monster is using the monster carcass and arranges it as a stair to climb the wall.

"Help, please help."

"Hold on, the reinforcement is coming."

"Run it's a drake."

The drake has blood of the dragon although not as strong as a dragon, to kill it needs a group of adept rank combatant. The drake is ripping and eating human-like grass, the human tries to injure the drake but it has no effect on the drake. While the drake is killing the human suddenly the drake stops because he can't cut or bisect the humanoid creature standing in front.

The humanoid in front of him cover with metal armor the face only has two dot like eyes, while the drake confuse the humanoid started to attack using the sword and manage to injure the drake and the drake try to bite of the humanoid head but there is only sound come out nothing happen to the humanoid head. Right now there are 4 similar humanoid covers with metal armor protecting Ryan and the team, the humanoid is Sylas puppet, beside Ryan there is one puppet that is smaller but radiating dangerous aura.

People start to gather around Ryan and the team to save their life, monsters that try to get close get killed by the puppet.

"The new puppet is good but its only lacking in speed, I am curious about the suicide puppet what will happen when that thing explode." Right now Sylas is in the sky looking at the city below.

"The city wall will fall today if the reinforcement does not arrive in time."

"All fighters leave the city wall and regroup at the center of the city." A Shout that has been amplified by magic can be heard around the city because of that the human starts to leave the city wall, without the defender the city wall gets occupied by the monster.
