Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Hollow Woodland (2).

The Timeless Quiver party before entering the forest they never heard anything about this ruins. They become wary but they still explore the ruins. they found out only one building remained intact entering the building, they found a long stair going down to the underground. While the Timeless Quiver party enters the ruins, from the outside of the ruins the ruins begin to disappear, before the ruins disappear a silhouette enters the ruins. Right now if anybody walks nearby they will no longer see the ruins.

The Timeless Quiver party begins to discuss whether they should go down stairs or not. They all decided to go downstairs and ready their weapon and fire torch. After half an hour they finally reach the bottom of the stairs. Underground they are inside a chamber and in front of them have a path, Leah walks in front to check for traps nothing happens and they see a large door. Kai asks them to get ready after opening the door, entering inside they can see a huge chamber with a large pillar supporting the underground chamber. In the middle of the chamber there is a platform and has weird inscription writing on the platform.

They all begin to separate to search around the huge chamber. Inside the chamber there is no other path or secret room, in the end they decided to investigate the platform.

"The only place that we have not investigated is this weird platform." Kai says.

"Should we go outside now? I feel something is wrong here." Daniel says.

"I agreed with what Daniel said. The inscription is beyond our understanding." Mark says.

"I also feel the same." Jean said and Leah just nodded her head.

After thinking Kai decided to retreat, his teammate is more important than anything in here. But before they leave the huge chamber begins to shake and a large stone wall falls down and blocks the large door. The Timeless Quiver party have prepared for anything unusual, they begin to gather at the block door to try to remove the stone wall. Jean and Mark take out their bow and arrow and aim at the platform. Leah, Kai and Daniel try to find a way to remove the stone wall.

The platform inscription begins to glow. A dark portal begins to appear and a skeleton wearing a dark mage robe while holding a mage staff comes out from the portal. The chamber torch begins to light up with blue fire.

"When is the last time? I came out?" The Skeleton says.

"Lich, everybody gets ready to fight." Kai says.

The Lich begin to laugh, The Timeless Quiver party just stays quiet and prepares to attack. "Sorry for laughing, you think you have a chance of winning against me?" The lich begins to release a terrifying mana outside his body, the mana can cover almost the entire huge chamber.

"We can't win, that is a master rank, Lich." Kai says in despair. The rest of the Timeless Quiver party feel the same.

"Don't worry I will take time to kill you." The lich begins to move and walk toward the Timeless Quiver party.

"Attack, even if we all die here." Kai says. Mark and Jean release the arrow and the arrow glows in red color. When the arrow almost hit the Lich, the Lich used a mana shield to cover his entire body. Large explosion happens when the arrow hits the mana shield, the Lich just comes out from the explosion like nothing happened. Kai and Daniel begin to attack the Lich with their weapon but the same with the arrow it has been blocked by the Mana shield. Leah appears behind the Lich and attacks the Lich head but the dagger has been blocked by a mana shield.

"Impossible. You can't defeat me, if I am just a beginner master rank Lich. You might have a chance of defeating me but I am at the peak of my Master rank." The Lich say while looking disappointed with the Timeless Quiver party.

The Timeless Quiver party when they heard what the Lich say they begin to lose courage to fight the Lich. "Don't give up, some of you have family to feed. If you die your family will suffer." The Timeless Quiver party begins to prepare to attack again.

The Lich just shakes his head. "Come attack me with your strongest attack."

Multiple arrows flying toward the Lich with different glow colors and type of arrow. The Lich just stands there when the arrow hits and multiple explosions happen. Before the debris from the explosion is gone Kai, Daniel and Leah attack the Lich at the same time with their skill. Kai even used berserk skills after the Lich was hit. The blow from the attack sends the Lich flying toward the platform.

"Yes, we did it." Kai said with excitement. The rest of the Timeless Quiver party feel the same excitement.

"Cough, I underestimated you guys." The Lich stood up like nothing happened. "Ice spear." Multiple Ice spears appear above the Lich and at the same time the lich begins to fly. "Try to dodge, release." The Timeless Quiver party tried to dodge or attack the Ice spear, but it was futile. All of them got hit and pierced by the Ice spear. Because the spear is made of ice , no blood comes out from the wound.

"Quick drink the potion!" Kai shouted. Kai, June and Daniel manage to drink the potion but Leah and Mark have fallen unconscious. Kai, June and Daniel help carry Leah and Mark at the door that has been blocked by the stone wall and feed them the health potion. Floating at the chamber the Lich just looking at them.

Leah and Mark regain consciousness, and try to stand up and prepare to fight. The same with Kai, June and Daniel. "You have no hope in defeating me. Just give up and die." The Lich say. The Timeless Quiver party just says nothing; they already prepare to die.

"Young friend, you can come out already." The Lich say.

A silhouette appears behind the Timeless Quiver party. The Timeless Quiver party at first is surprising and confusing. Then they recognize the black cloak man, the man is Mr. Sylas.
