Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Puppet vs Undead (1).

"Senior, why are you here? no, that is not important. Senior you need to escape." Kai says. The rest of the Timeless Quiver party also tell Sylas to escape.

"You don't need to worry." Sylas walks in front of them and releases a terrifying mana just like the Lich.

"Master rank mage." Kai says with disbelief.

"Mass Teleport." Before Kai can ask anything, Sylas teleports them outside of the ruins.

"Oh, to think that you have mastered space magic. It looks like I need to make some changes to the formation." The glow on the platform inscription intensifies. "Now you can't use your teleport spell here." The Lich Say. Sylas can feel that he can't use teleport inside the chamber, but he can still use his space storage.

Sylas begins to fly toward the Lich and attack with an Ice spear, the Lich also does the same thing and casts an Ice spear. Both of them evade each other's attacks and prepare to cast more spells. When the Lich close to the ground Sylas cast a Stone spear spell, countless Stone spears come out from the ground and fly toward the Lich. But the Lich body became incorporeal and all the Stone spear passed through the Lich.

The Lich cast Cloudkill spell a Sphere of poisonous, yellow-green fog appear around Sylas. Before the fog near Sylas, he cast a Gust of Wind spell to blow away the fog. While Sylas blows away the fog, the Lich casts a Disintegrate spell: a thin black ray springs from the Lich bony finger pointing at Sylas. Sylas also casts Disintegrate spell but the target is the Lich spell, both of the thin black rays cancel each other.

Both of them stop casting spells and just look at each other. "Let's end this." The Lich flew toward the platform and stabbed his staff at the center of the inscription formation. At the platform multiple back portals appear and thousands of undead creatures appear. The undead that come out from the dark portal are ghoul, zombie, skeleton soldier and archer.

"I don't think this is enough to kill you." This time the Lich uses his master rank mana to summon high level undead. Three portals appear behind the Lich and one of the portals is larger than the other portal. The first undead that comes out is a Banshee, the spirit of a female undead phantom. The second undead that comes out is a Death Knight, these evil undead warriors are most commonly raised from warrior, knight or barbarians. The last undead that comes out from the largest dark portal is Bone Dragon, the Bone Dragon is formed from the skeleton of a dead dragon.

"What do you think of my masterpiece?" The Lich looks at Sylas with confidence that he can kill him.

Sylas looks at the undead army, saying that if he is fighting alone, he will die but who says he is fighting alone. "Come out." Three more space portals appear, the first to appear from the space portal is a mage puppet wearing a mage robe. The second is an Asura puppet, who doesn't have any eyes, just a big mouth with sharp teeth, has six arms and each arm is holding a different weapon. The last puppet is a Bronze Dragon puppet made by the carcass of Bronze Dragon and looks mechanical.

The Lich don't say anything after seeing the new puppet. He knows talking is useless only by fighting can solve problems. "Fight!" Just one word from the Lich: all undead begin to move toward Sylas and the puppet army. Sylas Armor Puppet just stands still in formation and equipped with shield and sword. When the skeleton soldier attacks the shield, the attack only leaves a blade mark. At the same time the Armor Puppet attacks the skeleton soldier with a sword and kills them. The Skeleton Soldier failed to evade the sword because have been pushed by the undead from behind. The same thing happens to the ghoul and zombie.

The Armor Puppet that is low in energy begins to retreat to the back of the formation to recharge, and the Armor Puppet from behind moves in front to replace the retreating Armor Puppet. The Armor Puppet that is too slow to retreat being dismantled by the undead because running out of energy. The Skeleton archer behind the undead also releases an arrow to damage the Armour Puppet. The Happy and Sad Face Puppet ignores other undead and attacks the Skeleton archer from behind.

The Lich looking at battle begin to use the staff and platform to summon more undead. Multiple back portals appear and new undead come out to replace the fallen undead. The Banshee, Death Knight and Bone Dragon begin to fly toward Sylas but have been blocked by Mage Puppet, Asura Puppet and Bronze Dragon Puppet.

Banshee use his wail attack but have no effect on three of the master rank puppet because they are constructs. The Mage Puppet moves toward Banshee to attack, and releases multiple fireballs the Banshee begins to evade and retreat, while the Mage Puppet chases the Banshee from behind.

The Asura Puppet and Death Knight have landed to the ground to fight, some of the undead wanted to attack the Asura Puppet but have been severed by the Asura Puppet blade. After seeing what happened the intelligent undead ignore them and the mindless undead are being attacked by Asura Puppet.

The Bronze Dragon Puppet and Bone Dragon fly high and just look at each other and prepare to attack. Sylas and the Lich just watch both the puppet and undead fight.
