Chapter 8: Lian Kidnapped, The Twins ability

Her body gave off a metallic sheen before morphing into a large scythe being held in Reaper's hands. Swiping it through the air left and right at the waxy man.

Reapers manifested the reflection of moonlight in his eyes. Tremain became intrigued readying himself with no stance at all merely gazing at the impending strike heading his way.

"Moonlight Hammer strike!" Reaper shouted.

Whipping it around activating gravity field surrounding it. It became heavier in his grip making him hang tighter onto the the weapon as Ares entered the room. Tremain stuck his hand out as Reaper began his descent of destruction.

The floorboards nearly bent under the weight of their pressure. Reaper wobbled and tilted slightly trying to gain composure.

"EXPLOSION!" Tremain yelled back.

Like a phoenix Ares flew like a bird into his hand only drop to the ground in a blaze. A combustion of flames materialized from above with the detonation of his blaze. Reaper fearlessly chased after Tremain to find they were suddenly gone.

The fire quickly subsided leaving Reaper with Aylin in a failed attempt to fight Tremain. Lain was gone with them in the short fight.

Aylin retracted herself from being the weapon to jump forward. Worry sat in her eyes. 

"Aylin…" Reaper said.

"We have to check on Lily." She replied.

"You are right."

She took his hand as they walked back to the small medical facility to check on Lily. She had sat up peering down at nothing almost in a trance with the blankets pulled off.

"Lady Aylin…I am so sorry." Lily frowned.

"He wanted this from the start." Reaper explained.

"Lian wasn't ready for this!" Aylin shouted.

"What matters now is tracking him down and finding him!" Lily noted.

"Lily, you will be my new wielder till we find Lian!" Aylin ordered.

Aylin quickly covered Lily with the sheets before angrily glaring at Reaper who turned his head. She looked around to find Lian's, but not Lily's as she ran around the room looking for a spec of clothing.

"Reaper, keep your eyes closed if you wanna keep em!" Aylin argued.

Dragging his large hands to his face he listened to Aylin run around the rooms opening draws of cabinets and spilling crates. His ears tingling moving up and down waiting to hear her come back.

She smashed articles down on Lily's bed. Taking every ounce of strength she has she punted Reaper in the shin only for him to cry out in pain.

"Do that again and I will make sure you are a headless cabby, Reaper!" Aylin shouted.

Aylin helped Lily down from the bed. The look of guilt on her face as she unwrapped the bandages on her face.

"Father really didn't want Lian to get involved…it's tradition for women to keep secrets." Lily muttered.

Arguing down the hall could be heard. Everyone in the room tensed up when they noticed the twins talking very loudly to each other.

"Nina? Nour?" Aylin asked.

The two gawk back at her with shock and surprise in their faces. They didn't know or expect others from Merrick's Parlor to also be here.

"How did we get here?" Nour questioned.

"Did I sleep walk again?" Nina inquired.

The two looked completely unfocused on the room. Nour yawned smacking Nina only for her to get angry and smash her opened toes showing through her sandals.

"Let's go home!" Lily said.

"Where is your brother?" Nour pondered.

She didn't want to answer them as Tremain alone made her angry thinking about. The other woman who was with Tremain was nowhere to be seen.

"Did you notice all of umm that's man crew is women?" Reaper blushed.

"And your point is?" Aylin replied.

He stuffed his hat over his face saying nothing more in the face of the ones in front of him. Nina and Nour pushed her hands to her chin looking down thinking at the same time.

Reaper snickered quickly only to observe. Aylin was speaking softly to Lily leaving Reaper out of the conversation. 

Nour gathered her hands high to the air with her eyes closed. She was chanting something on her breathe for several seconds releasing a small white ball of energy that soon became a small ghostly dormouse nearly translucent in sight.

"This little guy will help us by following the scent." Nour boasted.

The small creature let out a small squeak swiftly grooming itself. It looked up at Nour swiftly turning away. 

"Do you got something my little Payton?" She wondered.

It kepted going. Nour followed giving chase soon after. Nina face palmed watching the sad little display that was being put on for them.

"Doctor Do-Little we don't need this now!" Nina laughed.

"Wait how did you know Lian is missing?" Aylin asked.

They both became frozen to the spot. For a couple seconds they give no response only to look back at her with a smile at the same time.

"I forgotten is all…" Nina cackled.

The mouse poofed in mid air causing chills down Aylin's spine. Lily pushed Aylin out of the way only to catch Reapers attention who thrusted both gazing down at him with angry and furious faces.

Aylin has no yet given permission a second time to use her hence is defenceless and his coffin is far from this place. Nour and Nina he could tell was under some strong control magic looking into the colors of their irises alone.

"Nour! Nina Snap out of it!" Reaper demanded.

They didn't seem to understand. No doubt Tremain purposely did this to them. Aylin stepped back pushing Lily further.

"This time we really must fight Reaper." Aylin stated.

"The only problem is Nour is a animal spirit keeper and Nina is an esper…" Reaper whispered.

Aylin was slowly recalling who everyone was in the household. Nina and Nour she remembered were hardly people you would want to mess with.

Step by step they close in on the small group. Nina took stance getting ready to use her ability while Nour was doing her next enchantment.

"Here we go again!" Reaper smiled.
