The obsidian oval-shaped portal emerged right after Ace had vanquished the alpha wolf. But just before he could enter the portal, Ace suddenly felt his body devoid of energy.

He subconsciously dropped to the ground with a thud, his face crash-landing on the grass, this was caused by the fatigue his body currently experiences. Ace didn't understand what was going on, he summoned his basic status to see his stamina and hunger bar drop immensely.

[STA: 15/25]

[Hunger: 10/100]

"I've gotta do something about this," Ace slowly got up with the little strength he had left.

He had been so infatuated with being strong that he had forgotten to place close attention on his basic status. Luckily for him, the forest was filled with valuable fruits he could use to quench both his food cravings and thirst.

It wasn't much but it was enough to slowly recover his diminished stamina and hunger bar. This was a world where regenerating HP and stamina requires a lot of rest, unless he's able to find a means to counter this exhaustive fact, he'll have no choice but to be among the many and require a secluded spot to recover his HP whenever it is depleted.

Eating food was the best way to recover his hunger bar quickly but rather than fishing for long periods, Ace opted to go for the next big thing which was fruits.

"I could never get used to this taste," The fruits tasted good even to the point of being better than the ones back home.

Once done, he sauntered towards the black portal. Now the third floor awaits.

Meanwhile, inside a densely lit hall, several Celestial Elves were assembled here, working as the development team of the survival game.

Every single Celestial Elves had pointed ears with dragon scales covering part of their skins.

Among the eight hundred Celestial Elves working intensely and doing their task with utmost devotion, a young Elf with blonde hair and an exhausted look on his face sat facing the screen.

"Ahh!! I'm fed up. I can't take this anymore!!" Ken lamented. He flung the book he held in hand, allowing it to skid and crash toward a nearby desk.

Surviving Online for the human world had not even been opened for half an hour and yet someone was able to conquer two-floor bosses, clearing both floors along the way.

Ken wasn't new to the process of monitoring players' progression but this particular player kept destroying any barrier of impossibility most developers had known to believe was impossible to overcome for centuries.

Rex noticed his brother annoyed expression and depressed sigh. "What's wrong brother?"

Just like his brother,  Rex had shoulder-length blonde hair with sapphire-colored eyes. He was working in the development team, monitoring the humans under his surveillance.

The lower realm was divided into eight hundred Newbie Villages, which also tallies the number of developers in the hall. Each developer was in charge of monitoring the one thousand players located in each village.

Ken was stationed to monitor the players present in Newbie Village number 666, so it was obvious why he looked annoyed.

"Look! Just look at this," Ken pointed to the screen.

Every developer had a medium size blue screen floating before them which was used to monitor the players.

Rex leaned over from his seat to look towards his brother's screen. "What is it?"

"Hmm? There's nothing wrong. It's just a player slaying monsters on the third floor..." Rex paused for a while then his eyes opened wide.

"What?!!..... How can this be?" He shifted his seat closer to his brother to take a better look at the screen.

Ken noticed his brother's dilated eyes and nodded to him in gratitude. Finally, now his brother could understand why he thought the player called Zero seemed weird.

"This can't be happening. It's barely been half an hour since the humans were sent into the lower realm of the game and now he has cleared all the monsters on the lower floor of his dungeon!!" Rex said aloud.

"Indeed, but that's not all," Ken flipped the screen to display Ace's overall status.

Rex was taken aback. "What?!! He has unlocked four acquired skills already?" Rex turned towards his brother in shock.

"Precisely. Tell me, brother, what should I do?" Ken looked towards his brother with his eyes reflecting that of a man who was at his wit's end. "Should I inform the director?"

Rex chuckled at his brother's words. He turned towards Ken and patted his shoulder. "Brother, do you know why the head of an old man is bald?"

Ken shook his head.

Rex chuckled softly and replied, patting his brother's shoulder once again. "It's because he has taken on so much trouble on his head in his lifetime."

Ken remained silent. Rex noticed this and he explained more to allow his brother to understand him.

"What I'm saying is that, with your history of always getting into trouble. It's only a matter of time before you become bald and old,"

Rex chuckled intensely, to the extent of even clutching his stomach.

Ken rolled his eyes and said. "Come on brother. I'm serious,"

Rex wiped the solitary golden tear from his left eye. "Alright, I'll be sincere with you. Unless you're ready to kiss your precious life goodbye then you can visit the director right now,"

"The director just returned a few minutes ago after welcoming all the players into the survival world. I'm sure you understand what happens if you interfere with her much-needed rest," Rex cautioned.

Just imagining how the director would lash out at him once again if he disturbed her. Ken's forehead became drenched in perspiration. "You're right. I'll wait a bit before informing the director,"

Rex was glad to hear his brother's response. He stood up to grab a cup of coffee from the coffee machine.

"Besides, there's nothing special about this guy. I admit he does have an insane survival instinct but aside from that, he's just another player that will eventually end up just like the few hundred dead players before him," Rex was positive Ace would be killed before he even reaches the Newbie Village.

Rex asked once again. "He's on the third floor right?"

Ken nodded and this made Rex chuckle while holding two mugs containing coffee in them. "There's no way he'll be able to clear the third floor. After all, the floor is filled with kobolds and these kobolds are strong and smart,"

Rex turned towards Ken to hand over a mug to his brother while he continued.  "There's also no way he'll be able to....."

"Too late...." Ken interrupted him. "He just eliminated the kobold boss," Ken confirmed.

"What?!!" Both mugs he held in hand crashed to the ground.

.....

The total number of players currently in the lower realm:79,655.

The total number of deceased players: is 345.
