“Don’t give up! It’s not yet too late!”
While in a stupor, Lotus hears this compelling shout. He looks to where it was coming from only for his eyes to a dark-haired youth holding a dark broom. It was me.
“Hold your wands, and wield your magic! The weakening is still in effect. The griffins are just showing affront by capitalizing on this luring strategy. Don’t be fooled! Fight with all of your might!” I scream my hardest, my throat is sore and dry.
Not to mention that I cannot hear anything, I feel a dread incomparably different from the normal battlefield where all sorts of sound effects come in and go. My memories of the double-headed griffin’s attack replay in my mind. If not for me using [Singularity Divide] to stab my eardrums, I would have been dead already with that insane sonic boom.
That’s why when I made a shout or a short speech, I wasn’t confident that someone heard me. That’s why I push myself to scream my hardest. “These dumb birds are not a match to us, we will be victorious.”
I raise my dark broom and with one swift slash, I cast [Singularity Divide] to it. From a single dark line, it multiplies to five! While disregarding distance, it accurately splits five griffins into half.
A magic broom’s original function was to ascend, descend and fly, and then maybe some modifications. However, my broom is different. It removes the most basic function of common sense to a magic broom leaving except one— to clean.
Clean is a word that has so many extending meanings. From the perspective of magic, you can associate it with pure, erase, or blank slate. My Singularity Magic’s version of clean takes this meaning to the ‘extreme’ and defines it in a manner that only a singularity like me will understand.
I define clean, or the act of cleaning, as something that is about a clean hit. Some might argue that it doesn’t make sense, but that is what magic is about. If only the people of this world know of the terror of tight corners.
Sigh… I recall my painful memories of how I cannot cleanly sweep the dust stuck in the corner of the wall or the corner of the door. The most terrifying is the tight spaces where the refrigerator is…
To simplify, this Singularity Broom in my hand is something that will allow me an omnidirectional way of hitting someone or something. I am basically someone who will never miss. However, that is not where the Magic Broom’s specs end.
What makes my Singularity Broom a weapon is its ability to store my mana. Specifically, the mana that was made of singularity attribute. This expands my mana capacity by several folds.
Magic Items that store mana is incredibly rare. Imagine if Mereoleona knows how cheat-like truly my broom is. With a condescending smirk, I stride forward, and with a single stroke of my broom, I multi-cast [Singularity Divide] again. This time, I was able to cast it seven (7x) times over.

Multi-casting is a new technique I was able to learn recently with my advancing Ki sensing. I have to thank my lovely sparring partners for this.
With me joining the fray, the tide of the battle changes again. From diamonds to griffins, and then griffins to diamonds— it is now me against everyone. While none of the Diamond Mages are not attacking me, it is my second nature to be cynical and cautious in their presence.
I am not really cooperating with the Diamond Mages. I was just going with the flow hopefully ending this fight in a way favorable to me.
At this point, the double-headed griffin is not still making any actions. It was just hovering in the air while casually entertaining the bald giant. The constellation-like array in the sky is not doing anything. I am having doubts if even there is something happening.
Not any sooner later, my curiosity gets its answers. The constellation was actually a picture of an eagle and a lion eating each other. The stars connecting the constellation burns in brilliant orange. It is so bright it even outshines the sun in the high noon.
The stars shoot down at the double-headed griffin. Bathing in the now golden flames, the griffins split into two. One descends to the ground like a meteor, and the other ascends to the sky like lightning.
Before I even know it, a lion barely the size of an ox stands before me. The Diamond Mages behind my back stir in fear.
Even though the beast in front of me is smaller than the other griffins and even pales in comparison to the boar I first met, I feel a tremendous aura from the lion. Enough that even I who have unshakeable confidence in my Singularity Magic is feeling doubtful whether I will survive this or not.
I look above me, and I see this giant eagle also about the size of an ox freely hovering and weaving into the clouds. Similar to the lion, it possesses quite a menacing amount of aura, not to mention its vitality.
The Griffin King’s evolution is so unreasonable, I begin to fear for my life. “All I need is a clean hit.” I raise my Singularity Broom and with a single swing, I unleash a [Dot of Singularity] containing half of my mana. I direct half of this might into the one in front of me, the lion!
A dot of black touches the lion’s forehead.
