Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Vapour Style

A whole day passed after Kokuō's extraction.

Jonathan had to disembody both Jibachi and Han in several sections before casting them away. He was not going to have anyone find their dead bodies or reanimate their corpses. Jonathan was also confident that White Zetsu wasn't lurking around. The Akatsuki would not be tailing any tailed beasts for the next two years. And he was right. White Zetsu's main attention was towards whatever Obito Uchiha was doing. While Black Zetsu mainly focused on whatever could help Kaguya Ōtsutsuki be reborn. Neither of which had anything to do with Jonathan's business.

Stripping Han down, he dismantled his steam armour and analyzed its components. Sadly, Jonathan wouldn't be able to wear it. The armour wasn't just too big for him, the inconvenience of having a steaming furnace on his back would also slow him down. Kokuō's chakra might have compensated for his lack of movement, but not all of it had been extracted yet.

Jonathan destroyed the armour and focused more on his next objective, fully controlling Kokuō's chakra. There was a reason Jonathan targeted Han. He knew he wasn't a match for a jinchūriki before the fight. If it wasn't for the dharma sealing technique, he wouldn't have faced Han or any other jinchūriki. And Jonathan would never have to worry about being targeted by such a sealing technique again because, he got rid of the last people who knew of it. Both them and their scrolls.

While sitting down in Kyowakoku Jungle, Jonathan concentrated on entering his subconscious. It wasn't at all difficult. It was essentially like activating a technique by focusing on one's own chakra. The only difference was that Jonathan had to focus on the seal itself. The moment he did, he was met by a vexed Kokuō.

"You look angry," Jonathan addressed.

"I didn't think someone more despicable than Han existed," Kokuō responded.

The thing about tailed beasts and their hosts, the tailed beast could see how their host interacted with the outside world. Whatever Jonathan did, Kokuō would know about it. Jonathan hadn't said anything. He simply started walking towards the beast. "You've come back for more of my chakra, haven't—" While Kokuō was yet speaking, dharma chains tied it down by the neck.

"Urgh!" Kokuō bellowed. "If you'd like my chakra… I'd be willing to give it freely without resisting."

'Willing.' Jonathan repeated inwardly. "Don't be foolish," he replied. "You'll mix your will with your chakra to consume me from the inside." Jonathan was not one to ever leave room for mistakes to be made.

'Sharingan genjutsu.'

Jonathan subdued Kokuō with ease as he began siphoning more of its chakra. At the most, Jonathan could only replenish his own chakra with Kokuō's. Once he fully takes control of Kokuō's chakra, he'll be able to use it as his own. This will allow him to activate versions one and two as well as fully transform into his tailed beast without losing his sanity. Despite the destructive perks that came with transformations, Jonathan's only desire was to use its chakra. He hadn't cared for its jinchūriki forms.

Kokuō's chakra was special. It consisted of water and fire elements. When combining the two, it produced the kekkei genkai known as vapour style. This was Han's fighting method when paired up with his steam armour. However, Jonathan did not need the steam armour. Chakra was chakra. Kokuō's abilities could be used without armour. Naruto Uzumaki proved this fact when he fought Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

He was already proficient in balancing out fire chakra. However, Kokuō's water chakra was new. On top of it being unfamiliar, there was an excessively monumental amount! For years, Jonathan was used to having low amounts of chakra. Even after acquiring Sage Mode, his time limit was shortened due to the quantity of natural energy he could absorb. This was the first time Jonathan bore witness to someone else's chakra reserves.

Considering the nine-tails had even more chakra than the five-tails, Jonathan felt like slaying Naruto now. If Naruto ever reached his prime, he would be Jonathan's biggest problem here. He would never have a desire for something like that. Not after seeing how large Kokuō's chakra levels were.

A few days passed with Jonathan continuing his gathering. He wasn't able to focus on practicing anything else due to the amount of time and effort being taken. Just a little bit of Kokuō's chakra was enough to overwhelm Jonathan's body. And the moment he got some, he'd have to try to control it on his own in order to harness vapour style.This kekkei genkai wasn't as special as it sounded.

For Kokuō, the beast could amplify its host with superior physical strength. This was pleasing, but Jonathan already had a copious number of techniques that multiplied his strength, speed and endurance. What he was most interested in was the water.

Jonathan had perfected three natural elements: lightning, fire and earth. Lightning was Jonathan's natural affinity. He only had two techniques, but they had been so easy to execute that it felt effortless due to lightning being his main affinity. Fire was gained from Hazumi Uchiha's cells. While earth was trained with his sharingan over the course of two years. After becoming the host to the five-tails and extracting some of its chakra, the water element was now available. Out of all the five basic elements, he was only missing one more: wind.
