Chapter 21: Chapter 21: My Name Is Jonathan Yuan

Jonathan looked at the woman's and saw her sharingan was not activated.

'Did she not unlock the sharingan or was she so hurt that she couldn't use it?' considered Jonathan.

"Don't worry. I know I look young but I know medical ninjutsu," Jonathan reassured. He placed his palms above the woman's injury.

"No! The nine-tails fox is attacking the Leaf. You have to try and take me to safety first!" the woman beckoned.

'This woman…'

Jonathan grabbed the lady by her waste, holstered her above his shoulder and leaped from the area. Had it not been for Jonathan utilizing his chakra correctly, he wouldn't have been able to do this. What annoyed Jonathan, though, was that he could feel his reserves running low.

He was not adept to take on grown adults in a fight yet. Neither was he skillful enough to do it without being caught. Because there was a gargantuan beast running amok, and not just any beast but the nine-tails, it made the perfect distraction for Jonathan to execute his plan. This was the reason Jonathan chose October tenth to come back to the Leaf Village.

"Wait!" The woman insisted. "The shelter's not that way."

Jonathan was already feeling tired from using up his chakra to carry this woman. Listening to her made him even more annoyed. The woman looked at Jonathan for a response and saw his face was expressionless.

'Can I really trust this kid? What if he was the one who threw that kunai at me? He appeared out of nowhere and doesn't look even a little scared at what's happening to the village.' The woman became anxious.

"Everything will be alright," Jonathan assured with a smirk about his face. He landed with the woman and set her down gently.

Examining her injury, he began performing not the healing jutsu but the poison extraction jutsu. The woman stared at Jonathan in amazement. He could tell this was her first time seeing the technique.

"What is that jutsu and where did you learn to practice it at such a young age?" she asked.

With a straight face Jonathan answered, "It's a medical ninjutsu to help cleanse your body. It was something I've always enjoyed learning while growing up. I can't stand seeing people get hurt so I made it my duty to study it hard."

"Oh…!"

Jonathan excelled at reading people's expressions. Even the slight change in their pitch could be distinguished by Jonathan. This woman wasn't just impressed, she was also grateful for the treatment. But Jonathan wasn't ready to let up.

"You're an Uchiha, right?" Jonathan asked.

"Ye—yeah."

Jonathan became frustrated before shouting, "Then why are you just sitting back like this?! Your village is being attacked and you let a child come to your rescue? Where is your pride as a ninja?"

The woman was taken aback at Jonathan's sudden outburst. "There. I removed the poison. If you can't even activate your sharingan, then you'll just be getting in everyone's way." When Jonathan said those words, he finished extracting some of the poison. Though he said he removed the poison, he still left a substantial amount.

The woman managed to stand on her feet, feeling irritated at Jonathan's words. She looked down on Jonathan and stated, "Don't dare talk down to me that way, kid." Jonathan stared blankly in the woman's eyes and saw she had not two but three tomoe in each of her eyes.

"I appreciate your help when my body went into shock after that kunai struck me. And you made a good point earlier. I'm going to save my clan and my village."

'Not yet', Jonathan thought.

The woman turned around to leave, but before she completely left, she looked back and asked, "By the way, kid, what's your na—" Before she could finish, she abruptly dropped to her knees.

'I thought he removed the poison from my body… Wait…! No! How did he know I was poisoned to begin with?!'

In the blink of an eye, Jonathan's hands began to glow blue. His body leapt forwards and cleanly cut the woman's head off.

"My name is Jonathan Yuan."
