After just one day, Jonathan had fully recovered. Though he didn't have any clothes, his chakra and body had had replenished. His muscles regained their composition and his chakra healed.
The first thing Jonathan did was perform his sensing technique. Much like he believed, the inhabitants of this land were nowhere to be found in his vicinity. His sensing technique could sense even those with natural energy, so he was confident that none of the primates were spying on him. Jonathan therefore entered his smoke form and made his way back to their habitat.
It was night fall as Jonathan was flying across the plains. He arrived at their habitat and went straight to Enma's hut. While in his smoked technique, Jonathan was quiet. Not even animals with keen senses could tell him apart from natural vapor. Jonathan managed to search all around the hut but didn't find anything. He went on to search the entire village. After half an hour, Jonathan discovered what he was looking for.
Like all places, there was always written transcriptions somewhere. And Jonathan happened to find that place. In this hut were scrolls with information. Jonathan skimmed through several scrolls before coming across an important one.
'Kyowakoku Jungle: The Beginning'.
Jonathan read the scroll and discovered that Kyowakoku Jungle was no different than the other areas such as Mount Myōboku. This land was a separate area that could be discovered through secret passages. None of this surprised Jonathan. If there were dog summons, there was likely a land for dogs as well. Jonathan continued reading.
'In the beginning, Kyowakoku Jungle consisted of only one primate living within the land. That primate was our previous king, Baboo. He did not bother the other creatures like those dastardly snakes or the humble slugs. Baboo was a stony fellow, ensuring that his newly acquired land would be a safe haven for our people.'
Once Jonathan thought he was done reading, a line caught his attention.
'Kyowakoku Jungle would eventually become the home of all primates. To stabilize the ecosystem, kings, queens, princes and princesses were forged. The first king was Baboo. Once he grew old and retired, the title passed down to Enma. Those in royalty would be subjected under the king and queen… In order for a king and queen to be established, the former king would have to grant the current king access to the sacred waters to understand its natural properties.'
When Jonathan read that, he considered what those two words meant.
Not long and Jonathan heard loud footsteps approaching. He quickly entered his smoke form and exited the tent. Passing through a couple of monkeys, he left their habitat completely. Jonathan had gathered all the information he needed. And because he was given two months to dwell here before his battle, he would use that time to his advantage.
That was something Jonathan needed. The more time he had to nurture his plans, the easier it would be for him to reach his goals. Had it not been for Shisui, however, things would be a lot smoother.

But this hadn't bothered Jonathan in the slightest. Discovering a whole new territory that was never mentioned was a gain for Jonathan. The current people who knew about sages, like Jiraiya, likely weren't aware of Kyowakoku Jungle either. Jonathan would be one of the first people with knowledge in this territory.
…
Jonathan did not spend his time just training. He would often sneak into the primate's habitat and see if any of them had something Jonathan could learn from. His idea was not in vain. Kiki Liz mentioned earlier there was a square. Jonathan found that square and witnessed fights being held there at times. It wasn't anything incredible. Just sparring sessions. But Jonathan watched the monkeys and apes intently. He had been doing these things for the last month.
Their fighting style was similar to the ferocious fist. It dealt with trying to maximize one's strength while preserving as much stamina as possible. The only difference was the way they used their paws and feet together. Their constant skipping made it hard for opponents to predict their movements. Jonathan recognized this fighting style as kick boxing back on earth. Using his sharingan, Jonathan watched intently at how it was performed.
Much like how toads knew the fighting style, Frag Kata, primates in this land had a fighting style of their own. Though Jonathan could not tell if they were using senjutsu or not. He could only assume so.
When Jonathan wasn't trying to learn from them, he focused on his next goal: perfecting the flying raijin. This technique was more complicated than Jonathan first anticipated. For instance, the amount of chakra required to form a seal was large. Jonathan couldn't just try to practice it, he drained more than half his chakra doing so. If the seal had even a single flaw, it wouldn't form at all.
Jonathan spent the first week trying to form a seal. Because he couldn't mimic Minato Namikaze's seal, he instead used Tobirama Senju's which he knew by heart.
The second week was spent trying to connect the seal to his chakra. This is where Jonathan's sensing ability played a crucial role. Once the seal was formed, Jonathan had to be able to keep a connected link between himself and the seal. After that was done, he had to recall the seal's location, pin point where his chakra signature was and then form a connection with it.
That entire process took Jonathan two weeks. And even then, he still had not fully learned the flying raijin technique. Whether it took him a year to learn it, Jonathan was not going to give up. He didn't want the technique anyways.
He needed it.
