Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Teleportation

Jonathan sat down on a table inside one of the untouched huts. Last night, Jonathan successfully eradicated an entire species. Had it not been for his Simeon Sage Mode, it might not have been possible.

Even without Sage Mode, Jonathan would have found another way to deal with them. And Jonathan did not want to eradicate them so suddenly. But the instant Jonathan felt threatened, was the moment he was ready to slay them all. That threat was Enma's relationship with Hiruzen Sarutobi.

And even though Jonathan cleared the land, he was still not ready to leave. There were far too many techniques he needed to learn. On top of that, he didn't have as much time as he had hoped for. From what Jonathan recalled, the next year, several events would occur. That was the year Kabuto Yakushi is meant to leave the orphanage for Root.

If Jonathan didn't make sure that he did, he would have too many complications.

'After slaying an entire race, Enma should still be of aid to Hiruzen Sarutobi should he ever call him again,' Jonathan considered. 'More importantly, my Sage Mode ability is nowhere near the other users. Without this water, I won't be able to enter it…'

Jonathan sat there eyes closed thinking what he benefited from in slaying a bunch of primates. There was one thing he gained, and that was a place to train in solitude. Without the need of hindrances, Jonathan would be able to try and perfect his unlearned techniques. And the first thing he was going to start on was the flying raijin.

It would be the longest technique to learn out of the rest. And the reason for that was Jonathan's chakra reserve. Jonathan arose from his seat and left the hut. In Jonathan's hand was a small, dead monkey being held by its head. There were many primates like this in the habitat. Jonathan's new duty was to get rid of the corpses.

With the entire area uninhabited, Jonathan used this precious time to practice the flying raijin. Despite having slaughtered an entire race of animals, Jonathan was not the least bit flustered to achieve his goals. He disposed of each dead corpse without feeling a single ounce of remorse.

Though Enma was still in Kyowakoku Jungle, Jonathan would simply need to rewrite his memories if he ever approach the habitat again.

Standing in the town square, Jonathan continued where he left off. The flying raijin technique required one to be proficient in sealing techniques known as fuinjutsu. This was something Jonathan had not practiced. Him trying to learn a highly advanced technique like this one was like a newborn trying to run. But Jonathan knew away around his lack of chakra.

By entering into Sage Mode, Jonathan used senjutsu chakra. His first attempts at creating the perfect seal (known as the technique formula) was done not long ago. It was connecting his chakra and pin pointing it to that seal which required a high mount of chakra and chakra control. A week was spent until he finally completed that stage in his training. His next week, he had to draw out that chakra and form a dimensional portal. This portal was what allowed ninjas to teleport. More specifically, it was the basis for space-time techniques.

On earth, teleportation was described as transferring matter from one space to another at an instant. Though Jonathan couldn't mix earth's science with someone else's imaginative belief they deemed as science, he instead applied what the Scroll of Seals instructed.

Using senjutsu, Jonathan opened his eyes after making the connection to the seal. When he looked, he could both feel and see a small space in front connecting to exactly where the seal had been placed. More so, he could see what was around the seal as well. Jonathan had placed this seal on the walls of a burnt hut. Even with his eyes closed, he could still feel his chakra around the space created and the seal.

Jonathan attempted to keep this flowing connection open for as long as he could, but once he reverted from his Simeon Sage Mode, he was unable to control the chakra and was instantly drained.

The portal he was seeing faded away and his connection was lost. Jonathan was not confident in traversing through the connection just yet. If he did, he could have been stuck through the wall and wound up killing himself in the process. What Jonathan needed to do now was concentrate his chakra and control the space made until he could accurately find the correct location to appear in. And even afterwards, he would have to repeat that process but without using Sage Mode.
