The things Senior Jōseki revealed to Jonathan was quite relevant. He was the man who first greeted Jonathan when he arrived to the Kazekage's building.
Because Jonathan was disguised as Gōza, he needed to know all the members in the Sand Council. Each name, some of which Jonathan had never even heard of, was revealed to him. Council members, like Jōseki, were not shinobi. This meant they were highly vulnerable to things like Jonathan's illusions. The same thing applied to the daimyō of this world. People like them, a feudal lord, were the political leaders of a country. They may not have the physical means to fight but they were smart enough to be a figurehead for their country.
To sit on the council as a political leader of a village would be a great advantage to Jonathan.
Jonathan released the sharingan genjutsu on Jōseki after collecting all the information he needed.
"And that's what happened, Senior Jōseki," stated Jonathan.
"What? Huh?" Jōseki said looking around. "Right. What were we discussing again, Gōza?"
"Were you not listening, senior? I was ambushed by a rouge ninja during my traveling," Jonathan replied.
"Oh yes. Please do tell me about it," Jōseki dumbfoundingly said.
Jonathan spent the next few minutes explaining a story where only he was the sole survivor. The way he said it, exactly like how the real Gōza would have, caused Jōseki to believe it. And why wouldn't he? Gōza was a respected member of their council.
"I'm sure you're very troubled after that, Gōza. Go ahead and rest for the night. We have a meeting tomorrow morning," Jōseki stated.
"You do the same, Senior Jōseki."
The two departed and Jonathan left the Kazekage building. Gōza was an unmarried man; as such, when Jonathan arrived to his house, he entered into a single, lavished apartment. Though the Sand's economy was rough around this time, those at the top lived in luxury. Jonathan did not care for riches or fame. What he needed was enough power to reach his ambitions.

The instant the sun rose, Jonathan got dressed and performed his transformation technique to appear as Gōza. Before Jonathan went to sleep, he activated his sensing technique to make sure he wasn't being watched. From what Jonathan knew, it's that politics was like a dangerous game. Gōza had enemies. People anywhere could be spying on him if he wasn't careful. This was the way this world worked periodically.
When Jonathan felt at ease, he did not keep the transformation active. He left Gōza's home and found a secluded area to instead transform into someone that wasn't recognized in this village, the young Hashirama Senju. This was Jonathan's most reliable transformation.
Jonathan made it to the outer edges of the village and placed a mark with his flying raijin technique.
When Jonathan finished, he quickly found the weapon's tool shop. Last night, while he walking as Gōza, he made a clear mental note of the more important areas, such as the shopping district. Entering as the young Hashirama Senju, Jonathan purchased five sealing tags using what money Gōza had at his own home.
Gōza was quite the rich fellow. In total, he carried seven million ryō. That was equivalent to approximately four hundred eighty thousand American dollars. Jonathan, however, still found that unimpressive considering he was part of the Sand's council. He should be carrying ten times that amount. On top of that, despite how affluential the amount was. As good as it looked, it wouldn't be useful considering how poor the Sand's economy was.
The shop owner questioned Jonathan but hadn't said anything in seeing his Sand Village headband.
Once Jonathan's purchase was made, he quickly found an area no one was around and performed the flying raijin technique. Where he appeared in was Kyowakoku Jungle. More specifically, at the mountain hot springs.
Jonathan slaughtered an entire race, leaving one alive. That one was Enma. If he somehow stumbled across the hot springs, it would mean trouble for Jonathan. Thinking ahead, Jonathan knew he needed to seal the area. After spending so much time performing the flying raijin, Jonathan was more than accustomed to the basics of sealing techniques known as fuinjutsu.
He grabbed the sealing tags he purchased from the Sand Village and placed them accordingly around the hot springs. Channeling his chakra to each tag, he performed the five-seal barrier technique. This was a fuinjutsu that could keep an area sealed for a long time. And it was his main reasons for desiring to enter the Sand Village in the first place, to purchase the tags.
Even if one of the tags ripped or was discovered, there was still four other tags safely hidden underground.
Jonathan performed the flying rajin technique again and returned to the mark he placed on the outer edges. Not long and Jonathan was already at the Sand Council meeting. He sat down on a table with eight other fellow members. Four of them he recognized, while the others, he learned the names and faces of them from Jōseki not long ago. At this council, there was one who had the most prestige. That person was Ebizō.
Jonathan only knew Ebizō because he was the brother of Lady Chiyo, who was the great aunt of Sasori of the Red Sand. Apart from him, Baki was the only person Jonathan was sure of knew how to manipulate chakra to some degree. He was recently added to the council despite being so young. Yūra, on the other hand was not present due to being around the age of twelve right now.
