Now, Jonathan was by no means in a rush to find Hans. He first needed to deal with other matters. For instance, being in the Sand Village near Gaara was an opportunity that would likely not come around again.

After Jonathan's information gathering, he went to go and visit the fourth Kazekage, Rasa. Jonathan did not like Rasa. Frankly, he did not like anyone in Naruto. However, Rasa was one of the most hated characters due to his poor treatment of Gaara and his reputation as being one of the worst Kazekage's to ever take the mantle.

As Gōza entered the Kazekage's office, he saw Rasa working on papers.

"Senior Gōza, you usually don't come uninvited." Rasa's tone was cold.

"Four Kazekage, I am troubled by your son, Gaara," Jonathan announced. When Rasa heard that, he put his pen down and looked at Jonathan.

"Do not threat. The council and I are interested in seeing Gaara's growth, so I came on my own behalf. If we can harness your son's strength and turn him into a weapon, it would greatly benefit the village." Jonathan couldn't have said the right words. This was exactly what Rasa was planning to do with his now two-year old son.

"Yes…" Rasa replied. "I agree. Gaara's abilities have been strange lately, but I'll handle it."

"This is good. Would you mind if I took a look at the boy? He is the future of the Sand Village after all," Jonathan asked.

"I don't mind, but try not to get too close to his body," Rasa replied. "As you know, the Shukaku uses a protective shield made of sand to prevent Gaara from receiving injuries."

"But of course," Jonathan replied as he began to head out.

"Wait, Senior Gōza." Jonathan was almost out the door before Rasa called to him. "I heard you were attacked by Sasori of the Red Sand."

Jonathan turned around answering, "Yes. Two of the Chūnin accompanying me are still missing."

"I've gone ahead and sent a squadron to where you last saw him," Rasa stated. "Hopefully, they come back with something good." Jonathan looked upset. His acting was flawless. Inside, Jonathan was smirking contently. Why would he ever reveal the exact location of that attack? Isago and Fugi's dead corpse were horribly disembodied, burned to a crisp and buried deep within the sand. As for the location Jonathan gave them, it was far from that area.

Jonathan left the Kazekage's office and headed to where Gaara was located. There wasn't anyone guarding Gaara, not to his surprise. Rasa would have multiple assassination attempts on Gaara as an infant. Right now, Gaara was sleeping. Without showing any hostility in his actions, Jonathan slowly placed his palm on Gaara's naked back. This caused him to abruptly wake up. Gaara scratched his eyes before asking, "Who are you?"

Jonathan gently removed his hand answering, "I am a relic they wish to get rid of, so why do I exist and live? In order to exist, you need a purpose. To exist without a purpose is the same as being dead." Gaara stood there confused as Jonathan walked out of his room expressionless.

Of course, the young Gaara would not know what Jonathan meant now. But to think he would be hearing similar words he would wind up repeating ten years later. The only difference was that Jonathan meant his words and would not ever change.

After leaving the building, Jonathan went to Gōza's house and began resting to replenish his chakra.

'Assuming they find my sealing mark on Gaara, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Nor would they be able to link it to me. How could they? The flying raijin formulas are permanent, and no one here would believe Gōza was capable of harnessing chakra.'

Due to the flying raijin technique being used twice today, Jonathan was not going to traverse the Land of Winds without the right amount of chakra in his reserves. There was one important thing Jonathan acquired that he hadn't considered when he was in the Leaf Village. That thing was a map.

On the front of this map was the entire Land of Wind country. It consisted of areas that even Jonathan was unfamiliar when on earth. Smaller towns were only several miles away. While the location where Hōichi was would be less than half a day's journey on foot. On the back of the map was even more precious to Jonathan. This part had a complete layout of the whole world. It was exactly as what he expected. Even though the Leaf Village was not pinpointed on the map, Jonathan already knew where it would be. Having an idea of where he was while traveling was what Jonathan needed.

After learning the map, Jonathan folded it and placed it to the side. In one day, Jonathan schemed accordingly while he biding his time in the Sand. Perhaps his biggest gain was placing a mark on their one-tailed jinchūriki, Gaara.
