Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Change

As desirable as a kekkei genkai like scorch release was, Jonathan did not have his medical equipment on him. And though Pakura's dead corpse was tagged with a flying raijin mark, Jonathan's chakra was at a severely low level.

Even if his chakra replenished, Pakura's body would have already started to decompose. There were no surgical equipment in Kyowakoku Jungle, and it would be improbable to openly travel to the Sand Village with her corpse. Jonathan gave up on acquiring scorch style.

The first place Jonathan walked to was the caravan. The people he slew were still there, but the caravan had something Jonathan needed immediately. He began cooking a meal and ate it without disturbances. As Jonathan finished his meal, the clouds finally cleared to reveal sunlight. Jonathan stepped towards it and looked up.

'It'll be half a day's journey until I reach that town. But that's not where I'm headed anymore,' Jonathan surmised.

Not once did Jonathan have any plans to go and meet for the supposed trade agreement. The instant Jonathan entered the Land of Earth, he already knew where the Stone Village would be located. Jonathan simply needed a safe route there without trouble. Now that he was here and the last survivor was dead, Jonathan's journey to the Rock Village would take him only four hours.

"Jon, my dude, you really shouldn't have brushed Nora off like that." Jacob was pestering Jonathan. The two stood atop of a roof looking at their campus.

"You don't have any taste, Jacob. You know I don't like girls who watch anime." Jonathan smiled as he took a sip of his soft drink.

"What the heck?! You're insane, dude. I'll have you know if my wife doesn't like anime, she ain't my wife at all."

Jacob Singh, a Guyanese who enjoyed every nerdy thing. Despite not having any real muscles, or played any sports, Jonathan enjoyed his company. This was who Jonathan was, someone who knew how to befriend anyone without needing to change who he was.

"I've been meaning to ask you this for a minute, my dude." Jacob slightly leaned forward on the rail as a large cloud passed by the two. "Everyone wants to know, why don't you like anime anymore?"

Jonathan placed his elbows on the rails facing opposite of Jacob's position. He had a light smile on his face, "My guy, you really wanna know that much?" Jonathan took a sip of his drink. Jacob looked at him and asked, "If it's that personal, you don't gotta say, bro."

"Let me ask you this," Jonathan said while placing his cup on the rail. "Why would I want to leave my friends and family behind? If you ask me, if I found myself living in an anime world, I'd feel like I was in hell."

Jacob stared at his friend. "Ya know, sometimes I really don't get ya, man."

"How can you change the world you didn't make?" Jonathan asked as he turned to look at Jacob. When he did, light from the sun beamed on Jonathan's face that caused Jacob to shield his eyes.
