Chapter 98: Chapter 98: Jonathan vs. Han I

"Let's go Jibachi. Our mission's finished," Han exclaimed in low, raspy tone.

"Yeah…. It was a lot easier than I expected," Jibachi replied.

The two Stone Village shinobi walked outside an open town. They were quite well composed, each having nothing to say to one another as they entered their route. Half an hour into their walk, Han stopped causing Jibachi to question him.

"What's the matter, Han?"

"Someone's following us," Han answered. When Jibachi looked over Han's shoulder, he saw a shinobi several paces behind him. He was wearing a tiger striped kimono with white fur trimmings. That shinobi was none other than Jonathan.

"Who're you?" Jibachi asked. Han turned around to look at Jonathan. The two locked eyes with each other without saying a single word.

Jonathan knew who Jibachi was. He was part of the Stone's Kamizuru clan. More specifically, he was another filler character. "Han," Jonathan said. "You have something important I need."

"And what would that be," Han asked. Jonathan chose not to answer. This caused Jibachi to get upset. "I don't see a headband on him, so he must be rogue ninja." He then looked at Han and said, "He's also targeting you, Han. Do you think he's after what I think?"

"It doesn't matter what he's after. He stopped us to look for trouble," Han replied. Jibachi adjusted his glasses saying, "We're not here to hurt anyone, so if I were you, I'd get—" Vapour erupted from Han's steam armour. Already he was in the air ready to kick Jonathan before Jibachi could finish.

'Eruption kick.'

The instant he made contact, poof! "A clone?" Han questioned. The ground underneath Jibachi then tore apart to reveal Jonathan already in his Simeon Sage Mode.

'Leaf hurricane.'

The moment Jonathan appeared, he kicked Jibachi once and then spun kicked to deliver a second kick while he was still in the air.

Bang! Bang!

Jibachi's face contorted as he went crashing into a boulder, completely destroying it. Jonathan landed and looked to see Jibachi's legs hanging. 'That attack was mixed with senjutsu chakra to enhance it. I felt his chin dislocate on the first kick and two organs burst inside on the second. Lungs and liver,' Jonathan believed.

Jibachi had died in one move.

Jonathan slowly turned to face Han. "Seems like I'm gonna have to go all out," Han said as steam further erupted from the furnace on his back. He planted his feet on the ground causing cracks to form. The distance between Jonathan and him shortened. Han swung his feet at Jonathan. Seeing it, Jonathan raised both arms to block it.

Boom! Jonathan was moved several feet from his location, skidding against the ground.

'What? He blocked it?' Han thought to himself. Jonathan lowered his arms and saw a small bruise where Han kicked him. He knew a lot about Han. Using Kokuō's steam techniques, he built a steam armour with a furnace on the back. Each time steam appeared, both his physical attacks and speed would be amplified by an enormous amount. And there was also something else about Han not many knew about him.

Before Jonathan could be given a chance, Han closed the distance again and thrusted his fist to Jonathan's stomach. Jonathan grabbed Han's wrist before impact and dodged it by jumping to deliver a kick to Han's face.

Boom! Han successfully grabbed Jonathan's foot.

The thing that many hadn't known was, that Han had the fastest taijutsu in his time! Han held on Jonathan as he spun him around. Despite the force of the spin, Jonathan managed to compose himself.

A lightning bolt spew from Jonathan's mouth, directly impacting Han at point blank range. Ka-boom! Electricity currented through the smoke as Jonathan leapt out. When he landed, he immediately turned to his left and raised his hand up. Han's foot crashed into Jonathan's palm causing him to skid across the ground.

'How did he know I used a substitution?' Han questioned. The moment Jonathan stopped, Han's furnace exploded with a large quantity of steam. Still in the air being held by Jonathan, Han raised his other foot and slammed it down on Jonathan's arm! Jonathan was forced to let go allowing Han to land. When he did Jonathan jabbed at Han's chest, but Han cleanly knocked it away. Jonathan's assault didn't stop. With a blank face, he pulled back his fist and tried punching Han's face.

Han began dodging Jonathan's attack. A punch to jaw was parried with his palm; a jab to the ribs was evaded with a side-step; a sweep of the legs was jumped over. Han didn't have a single room to counter. The instant Jonathan saw Han in the air, he lightly smirked.

'Sage art: chakra dissection blade.'

Jonathan spun his body to slash vertically at Han. When he did, Han pulled back.

"Huff, huff, huff…" Jonathan straightened himself, watching Han pant heavily. His Simeon Sage Mode transformation had run out. But right on the ground, in front of Jonathan, was Han's severed arm.

"Hmph."
