Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Jonathan vs. Han II

Jonathan Yuan wasn't your average fighter. He didn't give his opponents time to think in battle. And when he fought, he never entered a battle he knew couldn't win.

Without even needing the sharingan but only relying on the reaction speed of his Sage Mode, Jonathan was beyond that of a sinister combatant. Throughout their exchanges, Han was being pushed back. The moment he saw his physical attacks were hardly moving Jonathan, he became a tad weary. It was just enough for Jonathan's discernment.

Han knew nothing of senjutsu.

"Huff… Huff… Kid," Han said looking at Jonathan angrily. "That was one mistake you won't live to regret."

The wind began to shift as dust swirled around Han's body. Even the ground started shaking a little. Dense black smoke covered Han in a sphere. Jonathan stood there staring with a blank face as his sharingan activated to see.

A loud roar emanated from within the black sphere. Jonathan could see the tailed beast's chakra pulsing out. When the black smoke dispersed, white eyes were staring directly at Jonathan. Han had fully transformed into his version two form.He stood there on all fours with a newly attached limb.

Version two, the second transformation a jinchūriki could enter in. Their bodies were shrouded in a dark black and red layer of their tailed beast's chakra. Jonathan knew all about how dangerous this form was.

Han let out a loud cry as he pounced towards Jonathan. Slashing downwards with his claws, Jonathan evaded. His expression remained somber as Han slashed several more times at Jonathan who was just narrowly dodging. Caught in the air, Han grabbed Jonathan's foot and slammed him to the ground. Arms already crossed, Jonathan looked to see a tailed beast bomb being formed at point-blank range!

Jonathan's eyes widened as Han fired his attack.

Ba-Boom!

A gargantuan explosion completely leveled the area. Han was the only one seen where the tailed beast bomb was released.

'Flying raijin.'

Jonathan was only meters away from the blast radius. Had he not prepared his mark here beforehand, he may not have died but he definitely would have lost Han. Jonathan wasted no time as he picked up an item and headed towards Han's location.

'It seems I'm no match for a jinchūriki when they enter their version two.' While Jonathan was running, he began forming hand seals. He reached the area to see Han, still in version two, turn around to give Jonathan a devilish smile.

"That's enough play time, ignoble beast." Jonathan tore open his shirt to reveal several black patterns. He then took his item and began playing notes. Seeing this, Han tried to leap towards Jonathan at full force. When he did, a silver chain emerged from Jonathan's pattern and impaled Han right in his chest.

'Dharma sealing jutsu: Sen no Rikyu.'

Han collapsed to the ground. The black and red chakra slowly started dissipating as he reverted to normal.

"Argh!" Han screamed. The chain was lodged right inside his chest cavity. "What is this?" he asked Jonathan who was playing his biwa normally. He didn't answer Han at all. The dharma sealing technique, an easy to learn fuinjutsu that Jonathan perfected during his time in the Sand. There was a reason Jonathan was looking for Han. It wasn't just to test his might nor was it to prove his strength.

Han stood there trying to reel himself away, but he wasn't able. His tailed beast chakra was being siphoned away and he couldn't do anything about it. Jonathan stood there playing as he felt the chakra being absorbed into his body. The instant the dharma chains were unleashed, the battle was decided.

Being a tactician, Jonathan didn't approach Han when he first saw him from above. Instead, he placed his biwa, which he brought with him from the Stone, in a secure location. Jonathan then placed a mark on that biwa. Even if it were to be taken by a random bystander, he would always be able to retrieve it. And when he did, Jonathan knew how angry Han was for severing his arm. There was no way he'd give up on Jonathan so easily.

Because of Jonathan's knowledge of this world, he was the most dangerous person to exist!

Staring at Han, Jonathan could see his tailed beast being extracted in the form of a green entity. This caused Jonathan to smirk. Han felt the extraction and tried to struggle against it, but it was no use. Han wasn't like Fū, who could at least delay the chakra extraction. Trying to use his steam armour wouldn't work either because the chains were directly attached to his body.

"Tell me one thing," Han said. "...Why were you after my tailed beast?"

Jonathan ignored him and continued playing as more of the tailed beast came out,

"I see… Not gonna even talk at all, huh?" Han lowered his head. "The moment our eyes met, I knew you weren't the type to reason with." The sounds of the biwa continued to resonate in the air. "Just tell me one thing… Were you at least going all out in our fight?" Jonathan remained quiet as he continued to play. He could feel the extraction nearing its end.

"Quiet till the very end. It's people like you…" As Han spoke, all of Kokuō's chakra entered into Jonathan's body. "I hate the most…" The chain reeled back from Han's body and he dropped to the ground. When a tailed beast is released from a jinchūriki, they die almost instantly from it.

By the time Jonathan lifted his eyes, he noticed he was no longer on the battlefield. The area he was in was dark. Jonathan turned around to see he was not just standing on water, but that there was a monstrous beast staring him down.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kokuō."
