Chapter 24: Chapter 24 – First Match Begins

As she approached the battle room, Terra Stars’ opponent for this first match met her in the middle. A tall and broad-shouldered boy who was also being led by the venue staff.

He met her eyes and showed a toothy grin and said, “You are the top seed Terra Stars who broke the Polaris Province record?”

“Let’s say I am.” Terra replied calmly.

“It is said that No.1 seed has never lost the first battle. I, Maxwell Dustwell will break that record.” Maxwell Dustwell loudly proclaimed.

“What did you say?” Acting like she didn’t hear, Terra asked.

“I, Maxwell Dustwell will defeat you!” He shouted again.

“What? I can’t hear you!” Terra repeated back.

“I, Maxwell Dustwell, WILL DESTROY YOU!” He screamed.

“Ohhh, sorry. I can’t hear you from over ten kilometres away” Terra Stars’s was already tired from the gossip filled waiting room. Her mischievous thoughts spilled out in the form of taunts. She immediately slipped into the advanced battle room before the boy could do anything else.

Maxwell Dustwell was left standing outside his for a few moments. With a frown he declared, “When you lose, let me see if you can still act so proud.”

Terra Stars sat in the chair of the battle room, unlike the rooms of the Society of Realms, there were several utility features within the room. Several smooth metal surfaces displayed information about the battle realm used and other relevant statistics.

“Courage!” The booming chant pierced the sky.

Under the three questions, the moral of the 100,000 army was completely stimulated. Each soldier was passionate and ready. Kai nodded in satisfaction to his troops. He understood the effectiveness of the right words.
