In the calm of the capital, many people had been in high positions for a long time, growing accustomed to their power and positions. They became reluctant to let go of either. Once Kai came into power, many would lose their power.

In the days approaching the day Kai came into his full power as the ruler and king, the atmosphere of in the Great Development City grew tense. In the calm before the storm, the streets were scarce with only the occasional soldier.

The current power balance of Babylon consisted of three main actions. With Kai as the rightful heir, there were factions run by two of his older brothers. One was the eight son of Man, Ethan. He was known as the best warrior of the Babylon Kingdom. The other was the eldest son of Man, Benigo. This son was known as a kind man.

Worship of the strong was still a big part of Babylon’s society. As the greatest warrior, Ethan was heavily favored by soldiers and general populace. He had raised his prestige by leading the army to fight wild beasts all year round. A tough and brave man.

Comparatively, Benigo as the first son of Man, he had been the most prominent successor before Kai was named by Man. He was a kind and benevolent man that would maintain order well. If not for Man asking Terra for help, he was the most likely to inherit the throne.

Both of them originally assisted Kai, ready for him to take over and to retire peacefully. But almost a decade in power without their father in place made them reluctant like others in power. Their mentalities changed over time, along with the bunch of supporters that relied on them for their power.

Man’s prestige was still incredibly high in the hearts of the entire Babylon Kingdom. Many veterans and elderly didn’t want to change his successor. Those people happily accepted the promising boy, Kai. Unfortunately, among the three factions, Kai’s was the weakest. Apart from being the orthodox heir no aspects could compete with the other two.

In the tense times, the day of reckoning arrived. Neither Benigo nor Ethan’s factions were willing to allow Kai to ascend the throne, both led a team of loyal men and surrounded the palace. Both stormed the small palace in a rush. The two large groups confronted each other over which of the two leaders would take the throne.

At this time, outside of the palace. A sudden rain of arrows fall upon the palace surrounded by the two forces. The arrows were flaming, not targeting the soldiers inside, but instead aimed for the gutter of the palace. In the gutter it was filled with a dark unknown liquid.

In the past eight years, inspired by Terra’s teachings. Kai was naturally prepared for such a situation. Of the six ministries, he secretly controlled the most underappreciated Ministry of Industry. He gathered talents from all walks of life, and vigorously engaged in research and development of buildings. To match his plans.

Abandoning the building was its purpose. Since weapons could not develop far with Gaia’s lack of iron ore. Only wooden arrows were possible to make but from the ancient eras of life, there were oil mines. Inside the palace the dark unknown liquid buried in a ditch and through the gutters was raw oil. Knowing it burned well, Kai developed such a strategy as he knew a head-on fight was impossible.

The design and construction of the palace was overseen by the Ministry of Industry. Taking part with the planning of hidden features within it was natural and easy. The palace was made so small on purpose, along with the surrounding walls standing extra high. It was by Kai’s design. Once the palace gate was closed it becomes difficult to escape and as the only exit it is vital.

The flaming arrows continued to fall, they ignited the black oil in the gutters and around the palace. A raging fire grew as thick black smoke covered the entire palace. The two battling factions were stunned, no one had seen anything like this before. The two sides made up of thousands of people struggled against this smoke without any results.

In the deteriorating situation, Benigo and Ethan escaped the palace with their trusted guards. The only entrance to the palace area was held by Kai and his guards. Flaming arrows continuously fell, they wore away at the two groups. Even the most tenacious soldier couldn’t break through the blockage of the guards. The fire continued to grow larger, and the smoke continued to grow darker. Flames swept away people as smoke smothered others to death.

The palace became filled with shrill screams. Thousands of people were killed like reaping wheat. Only a few hours later the battle for the throne ended. The rebelling forces had heroic tenacity, but the few great warriors were greatly outnumbered by Kai’s guards. Ethan was the last remaining person alive in the palace, with more than a dozen arrows and many other wounds he eventually died where he struggled.

The expected impending civil unrest was easily solved by Kai, with a single palace being lost. With that, he officially took the throne. Taking a pro-government approach to ruling.

Ten years after.

The status of the Ministry of Industry skyrocketed. Craftsman became the most respected profession. Often referred to as “Master” with respect, the number of craftsmen in Babylon exploded.

Kai opened a Development College. Cultivating a large number of experts, and from among them he remained the best one. He single-handedly created the four great inventions of the age. Paper-making, printing, compass, and kerosene. All from Kai with the teaching of Terra Stars.

Under Terra’s secret intervention, the civilization process of Gaia was significantly faster than her old world, Earth. Just a few hundred years, from the dawn of humans to delve into the feudal era. Along with the development of technology dominating all other fields. The development of art, literature, philosophy, and other such fields was much slower.

At this time, Terra Stars had to stop the acceleration of time in the realm. The portion of origin energy was about to run dry. Saving some for the future was her plan for all portions in the near future. Leaving her realm, she returned her focus to reality. She went out to the Society of Realms, the way of making money as a Realm Ruler in the Polaris Province.

Society of Realms, located in the heart of business center of Polaris. It’s a ninety-nine-story skyscraper. The entire building was owned by the Society of Realms. The hall of the first floor, people came and went quickly. A lively space that never stopped.

Terra queued for reception and looked at the large board overhanging the row of reception staff, the latest requirements of the Society of Realms upon it. To gain origin energy. There were two ways. One was to pay for it, and the other was to plunder it. The target of plunder was unclaimed realms, so-called unowned realms.

Unowned realms referred to realms where the Realm Ruler had died. Everyone’s lifespan was limited, and fatal accidents were not unheard of. Once a realm ruler died, the realm was left behind without a will of the world or an owner. Thus, before the realm’s life collapsed and became a dead realm, it was possible to build a channel, invade the realm and plunder the origin energy remaining within it along with some resources.

This was the main market source of origin energy, the Society of Realms aided in creating the channel and they categorized realms. They took a small fee each time, but in the view of how many fees they took, the income was astronomical. It was the hub of most Realm Ruler activities outside of corporate maintenance teams.

The queue shuffles forwards at a constant rate, Terra Stars’ turn came.

“Hello, what can I do for you today?” The young staff asked with a standard customer service smile.

“What are the procedures to allow me to go to an owner-less realm.” Terra asked.

“Going to an unowned realm, if it is a first-level realm the procedure is very simple, a toll fee of 10,00 to enter.”

’10,00?’ Terra remarked in her heart. That was all her savings from frugal living and odd jobs around on top of her measly federal allowance. If the toll was paid, she would have nothing left.

‘Without input, there will be no chance to gain’ She sighed so in her heart, Terra Star handed over her ID card, saying “One connection to a first-level unowned realm.”

The receptionist took the ID card with a sound of affirmation. She gestured to a panel between them, she said, “Please choose a realm fir…”

Stopping mid word, she glanced at Terra Stars. Seeing the young appearance, like a fresh graduate. She continued after a moment “Is this your first time going to plunder?”

“Yep.” Terra Stars replied.

“Right, then according to the latest regulations of the Society of Realms, the fee for the first toll can be waived.” The receptionist explained.

“Great!” Terra Stars was overjoyed with such a regulation, she abruptly raised her voice. Saving a thousand was always a win. She praised the receptionist in her heart, Terra Stars smiled slightly in embarrassment.

At the recommendation of the money saving receptionist, Terra choose an unowned realm with a martial arts civilization. With the general flow of unowned realms losing their maintainer, leading to the collapse of ecosystems. The energy of an unowned realm would gradually decline. It would snowball into a dead realm. Only a few exceptions existed to this flow.

“A martial arts realm on the verge of collapse should be simple enough.” Terra remarked. The sufficiently weakened energy would be a good match for her realm’s civilization. A good first experience of extraordinary life for Babylon.

She booked her connection for the next day. Terra Stars returned to her home. Immediately entered the realm space once she sat down. She found Kai who was resting.

“Teacher, you are here.” Kai was very happy with Terra’s presence. With the push of pro-government, he was heralding, he had not had much free time in several years to have a free lesson with Terra Stars. The tedious state affairs were no value in the face of learning the mind-blowing knowledge from Terra Stars. Courtesy of the analysis system’s notes

“Do you want to know what is outside the planet?” Terra Stare used water from the air to create text.

‘Teacher this… am I going to learn the truth about this planet?’ Kai thought this. He was very keen, since young he was aware of the fact the planet had been getting bigger. Later on, he speculated there were other worlds outside the planet as a passing thought.

“The opportunity is here…” Terra Stars continued forming text and declared.

“A realm passage through which people can enter another planet will open.”
