We ran for our lives and actually made it out of the council house. I don't know how, but we really did escape!

My whole body ached and every fiber of mine burned even at the slightest movement but the worst was the burning in my head. I had to give my everything so I would not get consumed by the cosmo energy, but that was too much for me.

It felt like I could faint at any moment. As if I still did not have complete control over my body. The power I used for such a short time massively overloaded my body. Even if I could withstand the will for a few seconds my body could not yet withstand the forces that followed.

"We can't go any further here!" I cursed.

We were on a district in heaven, but now we have arrived at the edge. We could go no further. If we continued to run, we would fall into the city. Now we had a problem.

After hearing this from Jane, I could only be confused. Was she serious? We were at least 100 meters in the air. No way would I jump down here. But Jane only started sprinting and before I knew it, she was pushing me down.

This really gave us a chance to escape. If we make it out of the city, he most likely won't be chasing us any longer. That meant we had to get out of here as fast as possible.

It didn't take long for the beautiful city of Utopia to disappear from our sight and we slowly entered a more uninhabited territory. Below us was now a part of the desert. Not much longer and we would be out of the country. But suddenly I sensed something.

"Look out!" I yelled at Jane, but it was already too late.

A powerful purple beam destroyed our cosmomobile. It just barely missed us. Yet our cosmomobile exploded and we crashed to the ground. I didn't even care about the injuries from the explosion. He was there! He had caught up with us, the cyborg!

He was fully healed and it seemed that he was in top shape. With his black eyes, he just stared at us and I knew it was over. We were so close to escaping!

Jane drew her sword, but her body had also long since exceeded its limit. Since she has no regenerative abilities she should be in an even worse condition than me.

Let's not even talk about her mental state. The only reason why she can still move at the moment was her hatred. It was amazing that she agreed to escape.

Despite feelings of revenge, she was able to make the right decision. That was remarkable, yet somehow I had a bad feeling. It felt like she was hiding something from me.

Immediately the cyborg knelt on the floor and seemed unable to move. What was Gabriel doing? The cyborg tried desperately to get up, but he could not. It was as if he was held to the ground by an incredible force.
