Chapter 39
this is a fictional story by realTensai
Gabriel, the boy I met on the island of Meteorite, was in reality the prince of one of the two great powers of this world, namely Durania. And this little boy was about to save my life.
"Let's see what you've got, you lab rat," spoke Gabriel confidently, while he did not even seem to prepare himself in any way.
The cyborg immediately charged out to attack. Having noticed that cosmo attacks were not hitting Gabriel, he wanted to try it with pure force. Within a millisecond he found himself in front of Gabriel and struck at him.
He was so fast that I couldn't even follow him with my eye, but Gabriel parried everything without any problems. A thousand fists and kicks flew at him, but he parried them easily. Each of these fists had a power that could most likely split mountains, but they were all blocked by a small boy.
"U-Unbelievable!"
I just couldn't believe it. Why is Gabriel so strong? Suddenly, a huge shockwave came from Gabriel, hurling the cyborg far away. Even I flew back a few meters, although the shock wave wasn't even directed at me.
"Now it's my turn!"
It happened way too fast, but suddenly Gabriel was in front of the cyborg. Not only was I shocked, but so was the cyborg.
"Boo!"
He gave him just one fist, just one fist, but that was enough to destroy the cyborg completely. He exploded into a thousand pieces and his severed body parts lay scattered on the floor. His blood stained the sandy ground red and he was dead.
"Wow..!"
I was speechless. He finished him off with one fist, without even taking damage from him. This strong cyborg, against whom we didn't stand a chance, was defeated with one fist.
It seemed as if the cyborg was weak. But this was not the case. Gabriel was simply far too strong.
"So that should be done now," he just spoke.
I couldn't even answer. Is it over? Did I really survive? But just when I was starting to feel safe it happened.
"What the...?!"
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw one of the dismembered body parts starting to grow. It was getting bigger and bigger and the disgusting lump of fat took more and more the shape of a human being.
My body was paralyzed and I could not move in fear. He was not dead yet!
"Gabriel, it's not over yet!" I yelled just as loud as I could.
He was turned with his body facing me and therefore didn't see, how the cyborg came back from the dead. But even before he could turn around, the cyborg grabbed Gabriel by the neck. From behind, he began to choke him with all his strength.
"Hands off!"
Gabriel did not use any special ability, but the cyborg immediately jumped away. The only thing Gabriel did was to let his bloodlust run wild. Even I found it hard to breathe under this pressure and I also saw Jane fall to her knees.
"That you didn't die just now was your own fault. Now I won't hold back anymore!"
These were not empty threats. It was quite obvious that Gabriel had not yet been serious, but this made his statement all the more worrying. He will not hold back now!
"Damion, you wanted to know how strong meteorite conquerors are? Watch, I'm going to show you now!"
Only now did I learn the reason for Gabriel's enormous powers. He was a meteorite conquerer! At his young age, he had already conquered a meteorite, which made him one of the strongest people in the world! That's why he knew so much about meteorites. Now everything made sense.
Just the thought of conquering a meteorite gave me goosebumps. But now I will experience the powers of a meteorite conqueror live.
"Even though I smashed you into a thousand little pieces earlier you were able to get up again. That means I must not even let the dust from you!"
He was going to wipe him out completely!
The cyborg didn't attack and instead went into a defensive position. He was aware of the danger and was therefore cautious. But that made no difference to Gabriel.
"Cosmo expansion!"
After he said this, I felt the atmosphere around us change. It felt as if the cosmo energy was gathering around us. This tremendous high density of cosmo energy made it feel like we were in a completely different world. A world controlled by Gabriel!
This also became clear to the cyborg, so he tried to escape from this area. But it was useless. You can't get out of here so easily!
Suddenly, the cyborg began to fly. It did not seem as if he was doing it on purpose, but rather as if he was made to float. Gravity no longer had any influence on him, but he could not control it. This was Gabriel's doing!
Desperately he tried to resist, but nothing worked. He just floated in the air without being able to do anything. He tried to fire attacks, but it was obvious that they did not manifest.
"About time to end it."
Suddenly Gabriel's blue hair began to stand up and catch lightning. In general, his whole body began to glow in a blue tone. What's happening?
"I have not yet fully mastered the powers of my lightning meteorite, which means I can't restrain myself."
I felt the amount of cosmo energy increase dramatically. Something big was about to happen!
"This is your end, ASTRAPI!"
Out of nowhere, powerful blue bolts of lightning appeared from everywhere, that hit the cyborg full-on. But such a thing could hardly be called normal lightning, they were so strong that they distorted the atmosphere.
My lightning was not even an electric shock in comparison. These bolts of lightning were a natural disaster. If this lightning would come out of the sky, it could most likely destroy an entire country.
But several of these lightning bolts hit the cyborg. Absolutely nothing was left of him. His existence was wiped out.
Immediately after the lightning bolts, tremendous thunder was heard. This thunder was so loud that probably every citizen of Utopia heard it. It was the sign that it was over now. We survived!

Immediately after I fell to the ground. Gabriel also stopped controlling the environment and the world felt normal again. Relieved, I could only breathe a loud sigh of relief.
I really survived!
I remembered everything that I had experienced today and how many times I thought that I would die. But I survived. Even if I could not manage to get back home, I was still alive. As long as I live I still have a chance!
Even though I was glad that I survived I was not happy. How could I? The only reason I survived was Gabriel. I could not win by myself. I am weak.
I absolutely must become strong enough to defeat the scientist in the council! Today I was made agonizingly aware of how powerless I truly am. I am still weak! This world is still hell!
If Gabriel had not come, I would be dead now. I was just lucky. But I can't rely on that in the future. I must become stronger immediately!
There was only one way to get strong enough fast enough to stand a chance against the council leader. This way was shown to me just now.
"Gabriel, lead me to a meteorite! I have to defeat a meteorite and become strong!"
That was the only way. If I can conquer a meteorite then I can manage to defeat the council leader. Gabriel's strength was at least on the same level as the council leader's and Gabriel became that strong by a meteorite. That means I could get that kind of strength if I conquer a meteorite!
"Forget it. You're way too weak to defeat a meteorite."
He spoke coldly and did not even hold back. I know that I'm weak, but that's exactly why I want to defeat a meteorite. I must become stronger!
"I have no other choice! I have to go to a meteor-"
"You will die. If you try to defeat a meteorite with your current strength, you will die."
"Th-that's... I already know that! But I just have to get stronger!"
I was desperate. Even though I survived today, I didn't feel safe. I was only protected by Gabriel. What if he is no longer by my side and then a cyborg appears? I would die miserably. But I can't let that happen. That's why I have to become stronger. If I ever want to get back into my world I absolutely have to get stronger!
"Come with me to Durania. At the moment you are not strong enough, but I know how you can become strong enough."
His sudden offer surprised me. I did not even think about my future in this world but if I want to get stronger there was only one answer.
"I'm in!"
"Good, we should get out of here as soon as we can. You seem to be followed by the council for some reason but you can explain that to me later. Now if the council were to come and see me, my country would have a big problem. That I killed one of them can be seen as a declaration of war in the worst-case scenario," Gabriel explained the situation.
I understood immediately and agreed. Nevertheless, I did not know how we should get to Durania so quickly. But Gabriel just touched me and suddenly I could fly.
"W-What is that?" I asked in surprise as I floated in the air.
"This is one of the abilities I gained after defeating the gravity meteorite."
"I thought you had conquered a lightning meteorite?"
"I conquered both," he replied nonchalantly.
"B-both?" I said, shocked.
So he had conquered two meteors. He really is something special. Now that we could fly, we should be able to get to Durania.
"Jane, let him make you fly, too," I said quickly.
But Jane just stood there motionless. She didn't seem as if she wanted to fly with me.
"Jane, what's going on? We have to leave before reinforcements from the council come."
"Sorry Damion, but I'm staying here."
"What, stop talking bullshit and come with me! We don't stand a chance against the council leader!"
What is she up to? We did not run away for nothing. I thought she had accepted that we don't have a chance for the time being.
"I'm staying here. I will avenge my family! I will destroy this whole country!"
No, no, no! Is it already over? Has she completely succumbed to revenge? Can she really not think rationally anymore?
"What do you intend to do?! We are too weak! No matter what we do, it won't change anything. You'll only end up dying!" I yelled at her.
I let my emotions run wild. I could not accept losing her to revenge. She was the only person I cared about in this fucking world!
"I have a plan. You won't be able to convince me, Damion. I'm not going to come with you. I will avenge my family!"
As she said this, she looked deep into my eyes. In her eyes, I saw so much. Her incredible determination. Her inconceivable grief. Her unbridled hatred. Her will to avenge her family. These were the eyes of someone who had dedicated his life to revenge. It was impossible to convince her.
Her will to avenge her family is most likely even greater than my will to get home. It was that extreme. She is completely devoted to revenge.
But if I leave her here like that, she will never come out of this darkness again. She would drown in her feelings of revenge and only destroy herself. Her life would be pure hell.
I knew that feeling all too well. That's why I absolutely have to prevent her from suffering the same. I had to give her a reason to live that wasn't revenge.
"I understand, I will let you. But you must not die under any circumstances! You will survive and we will meet again. You may think that you are completely alone, but that's not true. As long as I live, you are not alone. Do you understand?! As long as I'm alive, you will always have a place you can call home!"
These were my last words to my only friend in this world. Someone who, even though so much suffering had been inflicted on her, could still smile. Someone who showed me that this world is not all evil. Someone who made my time in this world a little bit enduring. She was someone like that. That's Jane Handerson.
"Thank you, Damion. We will definitely meet again!"
Those were her last words to me. After that Gabriel and I flew to Durania.
