Chapter 7: [7] Demon Attack

The girl goes outside the city and began helping defending the village. The sky has gone crimson red as the demon appear after one another from the rift. I can't even calculate just how many demon there are. I say it would be around 1000+ of them as they appear in every corner in the village, The citizen run desperately to save their life. I use my skill to detect the stat of the monster as such.

[Flying Demon]

[Level: 15-18]

[Skill: Curse, Fire Breath, Fly, Regeneration, Fireball, Void ball, Demonic Power]

[Ground Demon]

[Level: 13-15]

[Skill: Curse, Super Strength, Haste, Fire breath, Regeneration, Demonic Power]

I can roughly see 3 different kind of demon. Some can fly, Some only walk on land and some that goes in the back. My sense is telling me that the one in the back is the most dangerous of all the other demon, It just that i can't detect it when the demon is too far.

The ground demon has 2 horn on it head with crimson red skin color, It has many scar on it body to show how tough is their skin, the demon look like an orc instead. The demon sometime use weapon such as a mace or a sword. They are way bigger than the girl as the girl are still young and haven't mature to adulthood. For as the flying demon, It has the same horn and skin color as the ground demon but has additional 2 wing, mostly it weapon consist of a staff or a bow, sometime they don't even has anything. 

*These enemy are far stronger than the average brown spider. You must make sure to be cautious all time!*

"Yes Master!" The girl nodded and began doing their best at defending. 

Mizi went ahead to save the citizen that hasn't arrived at the safety place and bring them to the safe place as Nina struck nearby demon with her magic that is attacking some adventurer. It was truly a gruesome scene as body of demon and human alike littered all over the place, As the place quickly becoming a blood bath as the blood of demon and human flow, It unfortunate that there are some casualty on our side. Although the demon side has way more casualty than our but they still outnumber us by 2x. 

The receptionist of the adventurer guild has called for reinforcement from the empire capital, The Empire of Ceribo. It was that the estimate time for the reinforcement to arrive is about a hour since the capital is far away from the village. 

*Let's hold out until the reinforcement arrived*

The girl keep fighting as they work together with the adventurer to protect their hometown from the demon. Some got injured from the fight from the demon as they are heavy hitter with the flying demon supporting the ground demon. Mizi heal the injured adventurer and soldier wound with my healing skill that she got from the contract. The adventurer was shocked to see the girl was able to use healing magic, but decide to not focus on that and began focusing on the demon approaching their direction. Nina prioritize the flying demon with her fireball killing them in either 3 or 2 blow from her fireball as she gain exp from the demon as such making her stronger. 

In the distance a little kid can be seen running away from the demon as he run desperately from it. 

"Help me!"

The kid run with all of his strength before tripping on a debris before reaching the basement of the village. The kid mother began screaming as she watches the demon coming closer to her child. The demon was coming to the kid with axe in hand ready to kill the kid until Mizi step in and defeat the demon from the back saving the kid.

"Go to the basement now! I will kill the demon"

The boy nod and began running with tear on his eye. The kid was able to arrive to the basement safely as Mizi finish up the demon.

*Heal*

*Don't exhaust yourself too much*

"Ok!" 

Mizi goes back into the battlefield after that, I warn Mizi as she avoided every attack the demon made, Im essentially Mizi 3rd eye right now. You can see the difference now about the size of their army as the demon die one by one as the adventurer staying there was higher level killing every demon possible. 

I still worry about the demon in the back tho, if only i can get closer to it so i can detect it. I could sometime see it giving gesture and direction to the demon.

*Mizi, Bring me closer to that one flying in the back*

"Ok Master"

Mizi goes through the ground demon as they try to attack her just to miss with her small body and her fast speed. We was able to get close to it and i use my detect skill on it.

[Commander Demon]

[Level: 32]

[Skill: Commander, Summon, Resurrect, Shield, Berserk, Skill share, Curse, Fly , Regeneration, Void ball, Demonic power, Brainwash]

The demon is way more skinny than the other demon that is attacking here. It still have the same horn and same skin color as the flying demon with the different of the tattoo visible on it body. It has a bunch of good offensive skill for it level, although im more worry about the brainwash skill.

[Brainwash: Control a user based on their level lower than your]

*Mizi run away now! The demon is no match for you as it can use the brainwash skill*

Mizi turn back and run away from the demon as it stand there commanding the demon without any care for Mizi running away. Just in case something happen i bought the shield skill along with mana heart.

Mizi came back to attack the demon approaching the basement where the citizen reside. Nina was able to successfully kill every of the flying demon as she began healing the people fighting the ground one, It was thank to her natural talent that her mana and skill power increased by a bunch. And Nina got the total level of 10 making her Level 16 just by killing all the flying demon as she unlocked her 3rd skill which is the Elemental control.

[Elemental Control: Control a element to your liking]

I can't say if this actually powerful or not but Nina seem happy to actually get the skill. Nina use the skill right away as she summon 5 fireball and control them in the air as it was straight up Balloon, She launched it at the last demon killing it. The adventurer was happy that the final demon was dead as they cheer and celebrate their victory. Nina began healing the adventurer immediately as they apologize and thank her one by one.

Of course i still didn't forget about that commander demon as it stand there menacingly with it eye open.

"It not over yet! Their another demon over there!" One of the adventurer pointed at the commander demon 

The adventurer began looking at the commander demon flying in the air. The demon began chanting some weird word as the adventurer prepare their formation as Nina began healing the injured in the back. Everyone was confused as it stopped talking until a adventurer look up in the red sky to see a huge void ball falling on them.

"Everyone! Look up!" All of them look up in the sky with fear visible on their face as the void ball with the size of adventurer guild began crashing down on the village.

"Master! How can we defend again that?"

*Im not sure but i need everyone close to you as possible. Im going to cast a shield spell on everyone in the radius*

"Everyone stay close to me! I will cast a shield spell!"

Everyone look at her with distrust and was skeptical 

"How can we even defend against that ball of death?"

"I know! Just stay close to me. I will figure it out"

"This may be our last ditch effort."

Every of them stay close to Mizi as the adventurer help bring the injured with them as i chant the necessary word for the shield to work. A blue transparent shield began forming near Mizi as it cover the everyone. The void ball descent even faster as every of them pray and hope that the shield protect them from the ball. The void ball has reached the shield as it began draining my mana faster than it can even regenerated, the adventurer look in fear as the outside become nothingness in a instance.

*My mana is draining fast! I can't keep the shield up at this rate*

"Master i will help you!" 

Nina hold her hand on my body as she transfer alot of mana to my body, Nina has amazing amount of mana as she still transferring it to me relentlessly. As the ball keep hitting the shield making a bunch of weird sound as it dissipated into nothing as the surrounding area become dirt while there are singular pillar where we stand. 

The adventurer open their eye to see that they are safe from the ball and began cheering. I was happy aswell that i was able to withstand the ball as Nina look so exhausted as she transfer way too many of her own mana. 

"Did i do a good job?" Nina mumble

*Yes you did. You can rest now*

"Thank you"

Nina collapsed into Mizi arm as she rest her near a patch of grass while she confront the demon. The demon was shocked to see the human able to withstand his most powerful attack that he have on his sleeve. It began to go berserk as it summon more demon from the rift enchanting them with the skill share making all of the demon berserk aswell. Making their attack way more lethal and attack randomly, The adventurer began attacking too realizing they have been relying on Mizi too much. Since the berserk has a dangerous side effect, the demon die even faster than before as they can't even kill anybody due to their trash direction. The commander demon was even more enraged and use the skill that i was worried about. Brainwash.

A large wave of purple dust swept across the village and the nearby forest as the forest make a howling noise with a bunch of monster coming out including hound, wolf, goblin and spider walking out with their eye completely purple. It was good that the adventurer didn't get affected since they are higher level. It was unable to affect Mizi or Nina since a mage has cast a immunity spell right after it began using the brainwash skill until i realize. Wait im a lower level, and aren't i monster too? 

Right after i said that, It started to take effect on my body as i began to lost control of my body as it run rampage in Mizi backpack.

*Mizi! I can't control my body! Stay away from me as far you can!*

"What about you master!"

*I can't take back my body at all. It like my body desire revenge or something like that. So leave the backpack with me inside*

"But Master"

*No but. I got a pretty dangerous skill so you must stay away from me far away from me.*

"Noo."

Mizi reluctantly put down the backpack with me inside as my body still running rampage inside. I was thankful that the brainwash only happen on my body and not on my mind, I need to take back my body somehow or i will injured Mizi!

As i was still thinking about how i can take back my body. The brainwashed body began becoming bigger and destroying the backpack in the process. Oh god it has learned the Size Control skill. My body began roaring as it run rampant in the village destroying the house and road as the adventurer look at me terrified as they haven't seen my species.

Mizi step up as the adventurer look at me with the body size of the adventurer guild.

"Everyone get away from him! He is currently brainwashed by the demon, He is super dangerous so get as far you can!"

The adventurer run far away from me as the body began running everywhere using all the skill i have in my possession. It keep shooting out fireball, Void ball, and even cobweb? It would be disgusting if the cobweb actually came out from my butthole. I was lucky that it actually came out from my mouth in midair instead of my butthole.

The demon was confused looking at me as he never saw my species before until he started to grin realizing he got a strong monster unknowingly. The demon started to laugh violently as he was happy with me.

As Mizi stared at me with tear in her eye to see her master became like this ferocious beast. After much of thinking i forgot about a certain part of the Brainwash skill

[Brainwash: Control a user based on their level lower than your]

That right! I just need to pass the level of the caster so i can break free from it as it only control below the caster level.

*Mizi! I got a plan, hear me out. Throw me the bag filled with the small and large mana crystal. You need to make my body eat it accidentally to get the necessary level to bypass the brainwash*

"Okay master!"

As Mizi trying to find where was the mana crystal inside her inventory. My body stopped running everywhere and charge at the adventurer as my jaw open to kill any of them. 

"I found the bag!"

*Throw it now as my jaw is still open!*

Mizi come closer and throw the bag filled with mana crystal into my mouth as my body began digesting it making me level up.

*It working! Im slowly getting my body back*

"Thank god!"

The body stopped before reaching the adventurer as it stopped moving for a few second before the purple eye return to my normal eye.

"You got your body back!"

*Im thankful for your help too. Although my identity has been exposed, So let's finished this swiftly*

The demon was confused as i wasn't even moving at inch as it keep pointing at the confused adventurer telling me to kill them. Obviously i already broken out of the skill and reclaim it. I also wanna test out my new Fly skill from the flying demon. I still not sure if a wing gonna appear or something. 

*Fly*

Even if i said it. Nothing changed ever, Until Mizi shouted at me.

"Master you are flying!"

*Huh?*

I look down to see i am indeed flying. Im not sure if i fly only by my imagination as there was no wing at all on my body. The adventurer and the demon was dumbfounded to see me flying like some kind of balloon.

*Let's not focus on that right now. Mizi get on me! Let's kill that demon bastard*

"Yes!"

Mizi jump with her leg until she land on my body as i use my imagination to fly to the direction of the demon. I launched myself to the demon like a slingshot with full speed as it the demon try to get his shield out to try blocking my attack.

Mizi jumped from my body without letting me know to the demon in mid air.

*Mizi! What are you doing!*

But thank to Mizi landing on the demon, It shield skill was interrupted as i chomped it head with one bite

*Augh. The demon blood straight up taste like garbage*

Mizi jumped back from the falling body as it land on the nearby river to my body again.

*Mizi! You shouldn't done that without telling me! Do you know how risky it was?*

"Sowwy! I will never do it again!"

*I will forgive you this time. The next time you need some punishment young lady*

"NOO!"

I got some level and a skill from it

This is straight up cheating! I can't believe i got such an op skill. Mizi keep poking me 

"Um Master. Look below you"

*Huh?*

I look down to see the ground getting closer and closer... Im falling?!

"AHHHHHH"

*AHHHHHH*

*Water splash sound effect*

Mizi came out from the water wet and stuff while i just came out calmy.

"Master, I hate you"

*Ah sorry*

The red sky become the blue sky everyone remember. With bird chirping happily and sing. As the clean river flow endlessly.

Since every of the people in the Ashloss village already saw me, It was not even worth it to hide myself anymore. I control my size to be medium and let's Mizi mount me as she was tired with her two feet. Everyone was looking at me and Mizi as i walk to the adventurer guild. We arrived to see they are still scared of me as they go far away as i walk to Lizy and to get Nina back. 

"Um Lizy. Where is Nina?"

"Oh she is in the infirmary. You can see her there"

"Okay thank."

I became control myself to be smaller and sit on Mizi shoulder to go inside the infirmary. Nina already woken up and waiting for us, Mizi stay near the bed where Nina are.

"Um Nina"

"I already heard the story, No need to explain. I was scared to actually hear a monster with tail was brainwashed. Since that fit Master appearance well. I was relieved when they said the unidentified monster fly with a girl on it back to kill the demon. I knew it was you"

*Nina.*

"I was scared. I was thinking to myself, Will i lose my bestfriend friend and my master? I was so nervous and scared. Until they said that the unidentified monster and the beast girl appear from the gate"

"After that i was so happy that you both were alive and well"

Nina hug Mizi and cry uncontrollably.

"I don't wanna be useless to you guy again, nor i wanna lose you both. I just don't wanna be alone ever again"

Mizi let's Nina cry in her clothes as she tearing up too. 

*Let's get going now. I don't they will accept us anymore*

"Yes master"

The girl pack up their belonging and we walk back to the entrance to leave the village. The citizen and adventurer look at us as we are leaving until a hand stopped Mizi from leaving. Mizi turned back to see the boy she saved earlier.

"Miss! Don't leave us please! You saved us"

Even more people came to us thanking the girl for saving them.

"Thank you so much for saving the village!"

"My husband was able to live because of you!"

"Thank for healing my injury in the battle!"

A bunch of compliment and thank was given one after another from the villager and adventurer alike.

"Please stay with us! Ashloss village will always welcome you"

The girl eventually stay in the village after a bunch of convincing. There was a bunch of builder and worker rebuilding the village back to it former glory now. Mizi would sometime help them with the building by bringing the equipment or the material and Nina help by healing the injured soldier and adventurer.

 All the people respect Mizi, Nina and even Me. I even heard they think i was a divine beast sent from the heaven to help their village since they have no Church or any god to worship. They even made a statue with Mizi riding me in the middle of the village. As for the Leandra Inn, The Leandra Inn still look fine as it didn't got too much damage as it only have few damage visible. Leandra was thankful and Let's us live in the inn rent free after that.

The dead demon corpse disappear into dust. The monster has turned back to normal as the caster has died. And they still keep their instinct so the monster just straight up killed any of the monster near them, The forest was closed off for safety reason.

And the day went peacefully after that.
