Chapter 5: C005—Exclusive Zone (2)

As I looked at the Exclusive Zone Map, I noticed various symbols that represented different types of places. I tried clicking on the symbols for forests, rivers, and mountains, hoping to get some explanation, but all I received was the names of those places.

However, I did see the location of my Special Quest meeting point.

The invitation was vague and I shouldn't have been here in the first place, "Every new player should start at the Training Zone. It's ridiculous that I got trapped by this invitation,"

"I know I can force logout, but I WANT THAT MAJOR EVENTS!" My eyes become sharper than ever as I look in the direction of where that place will be.

[ Lord Mansion ]

"Let's hope it's not a supervillain..."

Without hesitation, I began my journey to the Special Quest rendezvous. It was different from when I slid from space to the planet. Now I am able to move my own body while flying, but the speed has been slowed down by 100 times.

As I fly through the air, I can feel the wind blowing at me, 'This is too real,' I could feel the wind go through my body.

'If it was like this when I jumped from space, then I could have gotten hurt, couldn't I?'

Time becomes fast if you fly through the air and look at the river, nature never makes you bored.

I've been in the air for almost an hour now and this lush forest seems to have no end. It's as if this place is only made up of forests and rivers.

"Wait! How long this river was?!"

I looked at the map and realized I've traveled 189,000 meters from the first position to the Lord Mansion, which means I still have another 217,000 meters to go.

"The river gonna be more than 20,000,000 centimeters... that's not very average, bro."

During my flight, I've only seen green trees, heard the sounds of insects, and saw the river. That's all.

"If there are insects present, it stands to reason that there must be other creatures here as well, don't you think?"

Although my brain is functioning properly, it is not working correctly at the moment, 'You just make me anxious, thanks.'

My heart is racing as I think about the real threat that exists in the Crossof Realm.

"The Beasts."

The land was still filled with lush trees, and the ground was completely obscured from view. I had no idea what was behind them.

'There's no way I'll die right away after I just started playing this game!' I thought as I clenched my hand.

"I don't have a weapon... should I come to the ground?"

My heart becomes to beats fast while I'm thinking about the danger that will emerge from behind these trees and it makes me dismiss the thought of coming down to land right away.

"Nah, I don't need a weapon! I CAN FLY!"

I kept turning my head left and right so nervously with a sharp look in my eyes, I saw something on a hill that was far away from my location.

'What is that?'

I could tell that it was a huge object because it was moving around so randomly in front of me.

It was hard not to be drawn in by something so strange. The more I looked at it, the more it became clear that it was not only an object but a living thing in the forest!

If you think it's because I was focusing my eyes on it, that's not the case. The object was growing in size as I looked at it.

"Don't tell me that a high-level Beast!"

I'm not just making a random guess when I mentioned that. My brain just connected the dots when the object started to transform into a tail-like shape. It had become a long tail, and it was not just that.

The object was mutating and duplicating itself and becoming another tail.

I stopped and looked at the object again, my eyes blinking nonchalantly because there were now nine tails moving at the top of the hill!

"The Mythical Creature ones?!" Instantly, my instincts told me to get out of there.

'No more reckless actions!'

[ (!) You will miss major events ]

"I know! I just want to live! The Special Quest wasn't there."

I flew away from that hill and tried to find another route. 'This is going to add 1,000 meters to my journey, but at least I'm not dead!'

As I tried to back away from that place, I gradually felt the weather around me changing. At first, I thought it was just the cold air from the Exclusive Zone blowing through me.

"Are the clouds coming down?" I said as I remembered how cold the clouds are.

However, my thoughts were quickly interrupted by a notification that popped up.

[ Affected by Silence Season ]

[ (!) temperature will continue to decrease until it reaches -1000°C ]

"WELP! GOTTA GO!!"

I speed up my movement in the air and give all my strength to get out of this place. Although it didn't reduce my Health, this drop in temperature made it difficult for my joints to move.

"There's no way!" I exclaimed in disbelief, my brain couldn't wrap around this situation, "If this is his skills, who's he targeting? I was staring at him from hundreds of meters away!"

As the cold temperature brushed against my body, my flying speed seemed to decrease. Then another notification appears.

[Body temperature keeps dropping]

[Movement (-30%)]

'PLEASE!'

[ (!) You won't be able to move an inch if this keeps up! Find something warm! Fast! (1.000) meters from here! ]

"Don't make me panic! Turn it off!" I said in a hurry, feeling out of breath as I saw the notification.

[ ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO TURN OFF THE 'SUVICE' SYSTEM? ]

"Uh, DON'T!" I almost fell when I found out about this strange fact.

[ ACCEPTED ]

'What the hell? 99% of players die just from disabling it? Either the players are too lousy or there are indeed many terrible threats on the Crossof planet!' I exclaimed in shock, new information from Crossof Realm that I never heard before.

Humans always like that.

"I have to ask her about this too," I thought to myself as I had so many questions for Kiara. I hoped that she would be willing to clear up my thoughts about this game.

I had flown away from where the Beast was, but my movements were getting slower and it felt like my body was unable to withstand the effect of the Silence Season.

[ Body temperature keeps dropping ]

My flying altitude is also starting to decrease, and I could fall into the trees at any time.

"I can't believe I've only covered 600 meters. My breath is getting heavier. Is this the end? What a shame..."

Rein stumbled through the air, his body unable to withstand the cold any longer. He decided to go down and wait for death to come.

These medieval-style clothes seemed to be designed to torture him in the game and offered no protection against the Silence Season skill.

He also thought strangely about the system in Crossof Realm, thinking that it was too specific for that feature to exist in a game.

"Suvice," said Rein while staring blankly at the sky, trying to ignore the extreme weather by rubbing his palms which were starting to go numb.

"A unique feature... even the players have become extremely dependent on it."

[ Movements -90% ]

"Ha—ha—ha...." No one could find out what he was doing, either laughing or struggling. Nonetheless, it was written on the universe....

[ (!) You will die in 25 seconds ]

Rein had given up and was enjoying the pain inside of him. He could only muster the strength to draw in the oxygen.

Nevertheless, an absurd circumstance occurred....

[ Telepathy connected ]

❝ ARE YOU STILL ALIVE??!! ❞

Rein heard a shout from inside of him. Although he didn't know what it meant, when he opened his eyes and saw the notification about telepathy, only one thing came to mind: speaking with his mind.

'Who are you?' Rein said inside his mind.

❝ IT'S A FATE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE! I ACCIDENTALLY TURN IT ON, SORRY! ️❞

'What are you talking about?' Rein couldn't even catch the person's phrase as he was struggling to stay alive, it become heavier for his chest.

❝ HOW MANY PEOPLES ARE THERE?! ️❞

'What do you mean? I'm alone and lonely here...'

A moment of silence comes after Rein said that. Just in split seconds, he realizes what he said ....

'Hello? I actually have some friends—'

❝ SS-SOLO?! THERE'S NO ONE BESIDE YOU?!! ❞

Rein felt glad that someone behind this telepathy just ignored what he said.

❝ ARE YOU THE STRONGEST HUMAN OF THIS AGE?!! ️❞

'ME? The strongest human? Are you joking?'

❝ NO, I'AM NOT. YOU'RE— ❞

'BUT if today is a reverse day, then it is TRUE!

'I AM THE STRONGEST HUMAN WHO WILL DIE IN 25 SECONDS!'

❝ HUUWAAA!! YOU'RE SO STRONG! ❞
