Lucas was too immersed in the fight that he just noticed nobody was around in the periphery.
Looking around he saw dozens of corpses of humans and green monsters alike.
He only shook his head in pity as he understood that he couldn't protect them all.
Even though he didn't care much about them, as a human he would still try to save them if possible.
If Lucas didn't take on the King Greenhorn, it was highly probable that there would be fewer survivors.
All of them would have suffered the same fate as his first death.
So, he took the forgotten Loops on the ground and moved on from his thoughts.
"I need to hurry. Some should still be alive."
Lucas then ran off in the distance as he followed the trail of corpses scattered on the ground.
'Rustle'
The swaying sounds of leaves were heard in the distance with Lucas seemingly dashing in a hurry.
This man's speed was running faster than an athletic professional who trained for several years.
He was not running out of stamina at all which was absurd as if the person's still not using his best.
It was an unbelievable thing if you considered the fact that he was merely above average a day ago.
The power of Loops could transform a normal human into a supernatural being in mere days.
Needless to say, it was still up to the individual if one was truly capable of bringing out the full potential of these miraculous powers.
Lucas was surely one of these existences as not only did he manage to adapt to the new changes in his body, but he also learned the way to use mana.
Normally, an average person with a decent Spirit value could only manipulate mana in the air after training meticulously for months, or even years.
There was a massive disparity between being able to sense mana and manipulating it.
Sensing the violet particles in the atmosphere can be easily achieved by anyone with Mana status.
However, manipulating and using it to enhance your weapon was an entirely different matter.
Mana could also be used to augment living matter and organisms like one's body, plants, animals, insects and even bacteria.
The difference between a creature who can use mana fighting someone who can't is like fighting a tank barehanded.
Hence the reason why Lucas had slashed off the limbs of the giant with a stick as if it was nothing.
As for the reason he didn't coat his body in mana, he simply didn't have enough quantity in his body.
This being was currently bolting through the woods while being ignorant of the meaning of his actions.
He was then forced to a stop when he saw a dead body with his hands hugging a tree.
It was the Korean guy from before. This person probably wanted to climb the tree to save himself.
Sadly, he was gouged out from behind as the body contained a bloody empty hole on his back.
'Tsk. I was too late. He's already dead.'
Lucas's chest felt heavy when he imagined the moment just before this person's death.
"I guess this is what happens when you're weak."
He was slowly becoming more coldblooded without realizing it himself.
The brutal environment was gradually changing his nature with him witnessing countless deaths.
Lucas dashed away once more while looking at the general location of the fountain.
He knew that time was running out so he increased his pace toward his destination.
After thirty minutes of sprinting, he eventually arrived at the shattered fountain.
Lucas saw the two policemen sitting on the sides and twenty others including the Chinese man.
It seems that no more monsters were chasing them with many corpses of Greenhorns serving as proof.
Everyone stared at him when he showed up.
"Hey! Thank god you're alive. Did you see anyone else along the way?"
James waved at Lucas with a relieved expression.
"I saw one, but he was already dead."
He responded to the man as he sat down as well.
"What happened to the big one? Is it coming?"
Kelvin stood in anxiety when he remembered the appearance of the King Greenhorn.
"No, I killed it. It won't chase us anymore."
Lucas honestly said to the two individuals.
"Really?! That's crazy!"
"What! You killed it? How?!"
The two policemen spoke at the same time with shocked faces. The humans also heard them.
Several steps resounded in the surroundings.
"I would like to thank you, young man. If you hadn't distracted that thing, we wouldn't be here."
The Chinese man bowed to Lucas while the other survivors also did the same.
"It was nothing. Anyways, where's Farhan?"
He replied to the guy and asked, but then everyone suddenly became quiet.
"He's gone. Farhan stayed in the back to buy us some time to escape. When we regrouped back with Kelvin and fought back, we found his body."
The old man spoke in a desponding tone while beside him, his daughter suddenly cried.
Everybody then became depressed as they recalled the valiant figure of Farhan's back.
"I see..."
Lucas walked away and sat down once again as he gazed at the twinkling stars in the sky.
'Status'
An ancient paper appeared in front of him as he thought of this word.

A little bit more than an hour passed by like that.
'Bzzzt'
The humans were startled and stood from their positions. They gazed at the small crack in space.
The otherworldly being came out of the slit hole with a smile on his face.

"Everyone. Congratulations on surviving till this moment. The tutorial process has now ended."
Al'Zaroth spoke to the humans staring at him.
"And now, all of you are eligible to participate in the first challenge held by the cycle. Be proud."
He continued to talk, but when the crowd heard about the challenge, their faces went grim.
Most of them stared hatefully at the crazy guide.
"Don't look at me like that. It wasn't me that made these processes. I am only a supervisor contracted by the cycle. You guys will understand soon."
The supernatural existence told jokingly.
This being then closes its eyes for a moment as if it was scanning something, then opened them in surprise while looking at Lucas properly.
"You defeated the King Greenhorn? Hmm... Your status isn't bad, but this shouldn't be enough to kill that thing."
Al'Zaroth circled at the figure of Lucas and examined the colourless Loop on his left wrist.
Even though it looked empty to the humans, this ethereal being could see atomic-sized dots of multiple colours inside the bracelet.
"How did you manage to kill it?"
The guide asked directly as he was curious about this mortal called Lucas.
"I used this."
Lucas swung his weapon in the air with a violet aura covering its outer edges.
The eyes of Al'Zaroth went wide when he saw this.
But, he hid his surprise and immediately calmed down and turned back to the other humans.
"Everyone. Prepare yourselves as I will now teleport you to the place where all of you will take the first challenge."
This unearthly being waved his hand as the twenty or so humans were surrounded by holy light.
All of them had vanished from the fountain or not.
"Umm... What about me?"
The presence of Lucas was still around with the man asking the guide in confusion.
"You will come with me."
With this said, the two of them also disappeared from the area.
The blood stains and corpses of humans and monsters magically vanished as well.
The fountain was then rebuilt as if it was never destroyed in the first place and the Greenhorns were revived inside the dark forest.
It was a ridiculous sight to see and if the humans before witnessed this event, all of them would probably think if everything was just a dream.

'Flash'
Two beings appeared in space without notice.
It was Lucas and the guide. The human was startled at the sudden lack of oxygen.
A violet light surrounded his body like a cocoon and the man realized he could breathe again.
"Where are we? Why am I here?"
Lucas asked as he questioned the guide.
"Look over there. That's the place you were taking the tutorial."
Al'Zaroth pointed at a visible distant planet.
"What the..."
Lucas was greatly astonished at what he saw.
The star was floating in space while a colossal flower was situated right above it.
Around the gigantic flower on top of the planet, tiny innumerable seeds were floating in circles as they were surrounded by a sphere-like golden aura.
"Those are called space seeds. Even though they are tiny, at the size of an asteroid, these seeds contain a vast space that can fit an entire planet. Although, these types are only mortal grade ."
Al'Zaroth explained to the human beside him.
"A whole planet?! You mean the place we were in was as big as a planet?"
Lucas was in disbelief as he turned to the guide.
"Not exactly. The forest you humans were teleported to was only the size of a small city. Thousands of these cities were present inside."
The otherworldly being specified himself.
“Does that mean all of humanity were inside those floating seeds?
Lucas gazed at the billions of space seeds levitating around the nine massive petals.
Suddenly, a tremble in space was felt.
‘Bzzzt’
Another two existences emerged from a crack.
One was a similar being like Al’Zaroth while the other was a medium-sized ball of light.
“Yo, Zar! Are you done?”
The female transcendental guide opened her mouth as a beautiful voice came out.
“Not yet, Selena. I need to reward this one.”
Al’Zaroth responded to the woman and turned his head to look at Lucas.
“Oh. There’s a human who succeeded? Not bad.”
Lucas felt naked at the stare of this bewitching creature as if she knew everything about him.
Then, he looked at the ball of light and sensed that it was giving off a ridiculous amount of bloodlust.
This creature didn’t look like a living being at first glance, but Lucas knew that it was otherwise.
“Hey. Stop doing that and change your form.”
The male guide frowned at the sphere of light.
“Hehe. This one’s also not bad, right?”
Selena smiled at Al’Zaroth while the ball suddenly transformed into a human form and the dangerous aura disappeared into nothingness.
The only difference it had from a normal human was the light bulb dangling between its forehead.
“A member of the Kadija clan, huh? Everyone else in the tutorial should be dead except this guy.”
Al’Zaroth nodded as he adopted a serious face.
“Congratulations to both of you. The Cycle has decided to reward you for your efforts.”
He spoke to both of them while clapping.
“The two of you can either choose a weapon, a skill or a trait and a suitable one will be given.”
Selena continued the talk and gave them both a necklace that had a really small Loop on it.
“Keep it for now. We will explain it later with the others. So, what will you guys choose?”
The female guide asked both of them.
“Then, I will choose a weapon.”
Lucas said after pondering for a moment.
A hoarse voice was also heard beside the woman.
“I will choose a skill for myself.”
It was the being from the Kadija race.
“Well, then. Don’t regret your choice.”
The two guides spoke at the same time as two colourful Loops appeared on their wrists.
