Chapter 10: Chapter 7: The Adventurer’s Guild

In no time at all Alicia and I reached one of the gates leading into Wishe.

As we did so two guards spotted us and immediately went on guard.

But as soon as we got close enough both of them relaxed instantly.

"Ah Lady Alicia, welcome back." One of the guards told her.

As he did so I turned to Alicia and raised a brow in her direction.

Getting a small blush on her face she did her best not to look me in the eye. So I decided to let the matter drop for now. "Welcome back my lady, was your hunt successful?" The other guard asked.

"Not really." Alicia said. "Anyway may we pass?"

"Of course." One of the guards said. He then looked at me, a brow raised.

"Is there a problem sir?" I asked him.

"No, not at all." He told me. "It's just rare to see a dark elf around these parts is all. Forgive me."

"No issue." I said. "Now then if you'll excuse us." I said.

"Right." The guards said.

They then allowed Alicia and I to enter the city of Wishe without any further delay.

As soon as we did so I felt as if I had stepped into an entirely different world.

Ironic really.

But it's the actual truth.

The moment we got passed the entrance my vision was flooded with people of all ages and races. From humans to elves, and even beast-kin.

By the way there were only four races available to chose from in the game.

Human.

Elf.

Dwarf.

Finally beast-kin. Which are people with animal ears and tails.

As for me being a dark elf, several sub-species existed in the game and I selected it during my character creation.

My eyes took in everything as Alicia and I continued making our way through the city.

But eventually we came to a stop outside a building.

Looking at it I saw it is three-stories tall. There is also a wooden plaque featuring a sword and wand crossed over each other hanging over the entrance.

"Alicia, what is this place?" I asked her.

"Why it's the Adventurer's Guild." She told me.

"I see." I said.

"Come on Aelion, you're telling me you've never heard of Adventurer's before?" Alicia questioned.

"The place where I grew up didn't really have them." I said.

Doing my best not to give away any personal details.

"But I have heard of them." I said.

Which is true. They were featured in a lot of anime and manga I read back in my old world. So I know the general concept behind adventurer's. I just hope it hold true for this world.

Alicia continued staring at me, but I kept a mask on my face.

Eventually she gave up and turned away from me. "You're weird." She muttered.

Alicia then stepped up to the doors and entered, me following behind her as I did so.

The moment we made it to the other side I noticed various tables filled with men and women. Some wearing armor while others were dressed in magicians robes. I also noticed several cute-looking girls standing behind the counter directly in front of us.

Alicia made a beeline for the counter and I followed behind her as she did so. Ignoring the looks I was getting from the people inside as we did so.

The same with the whispers.

"Woah, is that a dark elf?"

"My, he looks so handsome."

"And looks, he's with Alicia as well. Lucky bastard!"

I put a wry smile on my face as comments continued to flood my ears.

Looks like what the guard earlier at the entrance said was true, dark elves are rare around these parts. I'm standing out without even trying.

Putting that aside for now I reached the counter with Alicia and when we did so a girl came up to us.

She is an elf with short brown hair styled in a bob-cut and has beautiful green eyes hidden behind a pair of glasses of all things.

The glasses are throwing me for a bit of a loop honestly. Since this is supposed to be a fantasy world after all.

But well in the game glasses were a thing and if this world is really based on the game then it stands to reason they exist here. It's just I'm still so in the dark about so much.

Honestly it's starting to get annoying.

But the only choice I have is to keep going. So that's exactly what I'm going to do.

The elf-girl smiled at Alicia. "Welcome back Alicia."

"Thanks May." Alicia told the elf.

After she did so the girl May looked at me. "Oh, and who might you be? I've never seen you around here before." She said.

"His name is Aelion, and he helped me out." Alicia quickly explained.

She then told May the details of how we met.

"Ah Alicia, I'm so glad you're ok." May said. She then looked at me again. "Thank for saving her Aelion."

"It's fine." I told her.

"Right." May said. "So Alicia, are you thinking of heading back out again today?"

"Actually no." Alicia said. "I was actually curious, is the master in at the moment?"

"Yes, but why?" May asked.

As she did so Alicia pointed to me. "I would like to introduce Aelion to her." She said.

When Alicia said this May's eyes went wide in surprise. "Are you serious, why?"

"Didn't I just tell you how he defeated all those high-level undead so easily. And he's not even an A-ranked adventurer." Alicia explained. She then looked at me. "You're not an adventurer are you?"

"Nope." I said.

"See." Alicia said, turning back to May. "He's a talent, and you know the masters policy. When you meet a talent individual always introduce them to her as soon as possible. So that's exactly what I'm doing."

"Right. Ok then. Please follow me." May said.

She then stepped out from behind the counter and started walking, Alicia and I following behind her.

As we did so I leaned toward her and whispered. "So, who is this master you want me to meet?"

"She is the guild master who runs all the adventurer's in Wishe. She's incredibly strong." Alicia explained to me. "Also sorry, I should've asked first if you wanted to meet her."

"It's fine." I told her.

Since I definitely want to meet this guild master.

Maybe she'll be able to help me fill in so many of the blanks I have and answer the various questions rolling around in my head.

Following May the three of us headed up to the third floor of the guild, and then came to stand in front of a door at the end of a hallway.

May began knocking as soon as we did so.

"Master, are you in?" May asked.

"Yes." A female voice said from behind the door. "What do you need May?" She politely asked.

"Well Alicia has returned." May said.

"Ah, that's good." The female responded.

"Yes, and she brought someone with her." May continued.

"Oh my, for our princess to bring someone to meet me. I'm honored." She said with a teasing tone of voice.

"Master, it's not like that!" Alicia said, getting a faint blush on her cheeks as she did so.

"Hahaha." The woman behind the door laughed. "I know. Anyone don't just stand out there, come on in." She said.

"Please excuse us then." May said.

She then opened the door and entered first, Alicia and I coming in right after.

The moment we were inside my eyes landed on the woman sitting atop a desk on the far side of the room.

She's another beauty.

Silky black short hair, golden eyes, F-cup breasts and porcelain skin. Her clothing consists of black low-heeled boots, tight black pants that leaving nothing to the imagination, and finally a sort of bra-shirt hybrid that emphasizes her breasts. Which looks like they can spill out of the top she has on at any moment.

The woman in front of me is sex on legs.

'Seriously, are all the women in this place grade A-beauties?' I thought.

Because if they are it looks like blue-ball syndrome might become a common occurrence for me in this place. I can feel myself getting aroused simply by looking at the guild master.

However that stopped the moment her eyes landed on me and I felt a strange sensation run across my body.

That put me on guard, and I also activated {Appraisal} on the guild master to see what the hell she just did to me.

As soon as this happened my eyes widened for a fraction of a second because of the information that came up.
