Chapter 4: Chapter 1: An Unbelievable Situation

Feeling the sun on my face I slowly but surely opened up my eyes.

A smile on my face as I did so.

Since I got a good rest, and thanks to it I feel completely and utterly refreshed.

All ready to start the day.

However a moment after I opened my eyes and I my body truly began to wake up I noticed something very important.

I am not in my childhood bed in my childhood home.

Instead I am outside.

I know because I can see tree branches hanging in the air right above me, along with the trees they belong too.

Seeing this I am utterly confused.

I know I went to sleep in my room and in my head, and I am not a person who sleep walks. So the question becomes, why the hell am I outside?

After taking another moment to process my situation I sat up.

I then stood to my feet and when I did so I noticed something else.

That I am not wearing pajamas.

Instead I am fully clothed.

"What the hell?" I muttered as I inspected myself all over.

In doing so I noticed the attire I am in consists of black boots, grey pants, a grey shirt with dark red sleeves and a black cloak.

I also noticed something else.

The skin tone of my hands has changed.

Instead of being a light color, they are now a dark-tan color. Close to brown all over.

(A/N: I am not trying to offend anyone here, I am just trying to describe the character to the best of my abilities. So if anyone is offended by my description I apologize.)

Seeing this and everything else a strange feeling erupted from the pit of my stomach.

"Just what the fuck is going on here?" I asked myself again.

Because the more I learn the more confused I get.

The cloaks I am wearing look very familiar to me. The same with the new skin tone I have. But before I jump to any conclusions I want to check on last thing. My full appearance.

Only thing will I try and make a conclusion.

My next course of action decided I started to think on how to accomplish it. Since I am once again in a forest and there is nothing around me but trees and trees as far as I can see in any direction I look.

"Damn, what I wouldn't give for a mirror right now." I said.

Then just as I did so a mirror literally appeared in my hands.

"Fuck!" I shouted. Since that just scared the shit out of me.

Inhaling and exhaling a couple of times I worked to calm myself down.

Once I did so I gazed at the small mirror in my hand and took a good look at myself.

When I did so I didn't see my original face.

Instead I saw the face of my in-game avatar from Ethereal Ark Online.

A dark elf with short white hair and yellow eyes.

[Looks like Hogni Ragnar from the Danmachi series]

Seeing this confirmed what I was thinking.

Through means unknown to me I have somehow become my avatar from Ethereal Ark Online.

I took a moment to process this.

Then once I did I moved to pinch myself on my left arm to see if I was dreaming.

It hurts so I know I'm not.

This is not a dream.

I really have become my avatar from Ethereal Ark Online.

So once again I say this.
