Chapter 5: Chapter 2: Taking Stock

As I realized my situation I began hyperventilating a little bit.

I think anyone would in my situation.

One minute I was in my bed asleep and now I am somehow my game avatar from my favorite MMORPG in a forest.

It's a look to take in.

Moving on to one of the many trees I leaned against it and started exhaling and inhaling deeply.

Several minutes passed before I was finally able to catch my breath and calm down.

Once I did I leaned my back up against the tree and then started to analyze my situation.

"So, let's review things as they stand."  I said.

Since talking out loud helps me focus at times, and this is a time where I really need to focus.

"I was asleep at home in my bed. Then the next time I opened my eyes I ended up in this forest. Wearing the same clothes and having the same appearance as my in-game avatar from Ethereal Ark Online. My favorite MMORPG." I said.

This seems like a bad dream, and I really want it to be.

But somehow I feel that's not the case.

Realizing this a sigh escaped my lips.

Closing my eyes I began thinking about what my next move should be.

After gathering my thoughts I opened my eyes and then stood to my feet. Since I have decided on my next move.

Getting out of this forest.

Sitting around and crying about the situation won't change anything. The only thing I can do is move forward.

Which means getting out of this place.

And in doing so maybe I'll find someone who can help me figure out what the fuck is going on, or at least learn more clues so I can figure it out for myself.

My plan made I got ready to start walking, until I realized I was still holding the mirror from earlier.

I looked down at it. "Oh yeah, almost forgot about this." I said.

Once I did I brought it up closer to my face. As I did so a question then immediately ran through my mind.

Where did the mirror come from?

It just appeared out of thin air. But that shouldn't be possible.

Then again my own situation right now shouldn't be possible so maybe its a moot point but still. It's nagging at me.

"When I thought about the mirror it just appeared, so maybe if I think about the mirror disappearing..."

Before a second even passed after I had the thought the mirror disappeared from my hands in a flash of light.

Seeing this I decided to test something.

I thought about the mirror again and it re-appeared in my grasp. I then thought about it disappearing again and it did so.

So with this I have confirmed I can make the mirror appear and disappear at will.

Cool.

But the question is, where does the mirror go when it disappears?

I wracked my brain trying to figure it out but then gave up. There's too many things I don't know right now and I don't have the headspace for it all.

So shoving an unnecessary thoughts aside I started walking through the trees.

Hoping to make my way out of the forest, and also hopefully get a better handle on my situation.

Because I really need it.
