Chapter 7: Chapter 4: Discovery & Experimentation

Looking at my status board I examined all aspects of it.

I even checked my magic list and skills list and saw that all the ones I had worked so hard to get for Aelion in the game were all still there.

In addition to this I also checked my Items Box.

Which is a rare item that my friends and I all gained after completing several difficult quests needed to gain the materials to construct it.

But it is well worth it, let me tell you.

Since an Items Box can store any material or valuables you want with no trouble at all It's space is infinite. Meaning that when doing difficult quests my friends and I didn't have to make room in our storage space by dropping materials to collect the ones we wanted. We just took everything.

As I checked the box I noticed something immediately.

[ Demonic Sword Gram ]

Gram is inside the item box.

Seeing this I looked on the listed items and sure enough I found the mirror from earlier.

I also noticed  several items and materials I stored in my box during that quest my friends and I completed right before ending up in my current situation.

So it would seems all the materials I previously stored in my items box are still there, and just by thinking of them I can summon them into reality and store them at my leisure.

Yes, this is very good to know.

This means I have resources I can work with. 

Smiling at this I closed my Items Box list and then thought about my skills and magic.

Seeing that this situation I'm in is following game mechanics I think it's the perfect time I test some things out.

Turning to the tree line I spoke the name of my many skills out loud.

{Obscure}

The second after I did this darkness spread out from under me and formed a cloud in my immediate vicinity up to two meters. It then receded after one minute passed.

Seeing this I then thought the name of the same skill, and the effects happened exactly the same way.

Confirming to me that whether I speak a skill or think it it will activate just the same. Also, the skill still follows the same rules from the game with its duration and effect.

I am going to assume its the same for the other skills as well.

Moving on, I decided to test my magic next.

Since in Ethereal Ark Online Dark Knights can use magic.

The only problem is I don't know what magic to use.

Dark Knights specialize in debuffing magic spells and spells that drain the lifeforce of enemies, since their main role is to be tanks on the frontline.

As for my sub-class assassin they can't use any magic at all since they can't learn it in the first place.

So now I am in a bit of a pickle.

Moving a finger to my chin I lightly tapped it, thinking on what spell I could use.

Then it hit me.

Holding out my left hand I chanted my spell out loud.

Once I did this a black orb quickly formed in my outstretched palm and then rocketed forward, slamming into one of the nearby trees.

A moment after this happened the tree was sucked completely into the gravity sphere, along with several other trees as well before my magic finally imploded in on itself.

I nodded at this.

I then used the same spell again just by thinking it and it worked.

Which confirms that just like skills, I can use spells just by thinking them here.

My testing finished I pulled back up my status screen and then focused on the title.

Player.

Back in the game I never had any titles to speak of, and now here this one is.

And I know exactly what it is in reference to.

It's telling me for sure I am not from wherever the hell I am right now.

At least this confirms I'm not going crazy.

Moving on from my title I pulled up my friends list and tried to access it, only to get a message immediately after I did so.

[Error!!]

I tried several more times, but the error message just kept popping up again and again.

Seeing that that wasn't going to change I stopped trying to access my friend list.

Looks like this place isn't going to make things that easy for me.

But at least I'm better off than I was an hour ago.

I got ready to get moving again, but when I did so I heard my stomach grumble.

"Looks like I need some food." I said.

Pulling up my status screen I  accessed my items box and then took out an apple and began eating it.

Saying a silent prayer to my friend Nihla as I did so.

Well her real name is Ziva, but I'll just call her Nihla in my current situation.

She was the mage of our team, but her sub-class was cook. Which she really loved.

So much so in fact she made everyone stuff their inventory with some of hers.

Well food in the game did restore HP a bit so we all did a she asked.

And at this moment I'm glad we did.

Thinking of Nihla I thought about my other friends as well. Wondering if they ended up in the same situation I am in right now. Transformed into their in-game avatar in this unknown world.

I guess I'll just have to find out.

Adding finding if my friends ended up like me as well to my list I continued eating the apple in hand and then started walking alongside the river.

Hoping it will lead to me to some sort of civilization.

Since other people is what I desperately need the most right now.
