Next day. Daisy mansion. There has been a disturbance in the living room. Daisy and her friend are sitting on a chesterfield sofa. 

 

“Waaaa, Daisy my grandpa is going to die!” A woman with blonde hair drill is crying in front of Daisy.  

 

“Jade, I know you are sad but stop crying. You are already the same age as me.”

 

“But there is no doctor that can cure my grandpa.”

 

“What did your parents say?”

 

“They already ask the top doctor from the federation. But they also don’t have a cure for it.”

 

Suddenly a man with dark blonde hair, blue eyes and a handsome face entered the living room.

 

“Daisy, is he your boy toy?”

 

“Stop joking, he is my son.”

 

“What, you have a son!” Jade makes an exaggerated surprise reaction.

 

“Stop acting, you already know I have a son. I thought you were crying.”

 

“That and this is a different issue.”

 

“Good morning, my name is Levi Daisy son.”

 

“You are really good looking like your mother says.”

 

“Thank you.” I decided to ignore her, she looks like someone that will cause problems. “Mom, I am going to Pharherb.”

 

“Okay, if you need anything tell me.”

 

“Wait wait why are you leaving, let’s talk!” Jade quickly grasped my arms.  

 

“I am sorry, maybe next time.”

 

“Wait I heard from Daisy you are a doctor please check my grandfather!”

 

“My skill is mediocre, how about you find someone else.”

 

“No please check my grandpa!” 

 

Daisy after a while spoke. “Levi, can you check my friend's grandfather?”

 

“Yes, mother.” I quickly agreed.

 

“Yaaa, let’s go!” Jade grabbed my arms toward her car.

With the advancement in the medical field, most of the human sickness can be cured. The problem is, with the interaction with different species. There are bound to have many new infectious diseases and viruses that are deadly to humans or other species. Either it was made by nature or artificially.

 

Inside a large mansion. One of the rooms is filled with medical equipment. An elderly man with white hair is lying on the bed in a coma.

 

“Can you heal him?”

 

After reading the medical report. Is suspected that he gets the disease from planet Xeater. That place has become a war zone because of coaxium used to make hypermatter. Most of the elderly man and woman have the same symptom. The will get a high fever and when into coma. The problem is their other organ function is slowly getting weaker. The people that got it die and there is no cure.

 

“I need a sample of your grandfather's blood, if I find anything I will contact you.”

 

“Okay.” Jade looks disappointed, but she knows even the top doctor have said there is no cure.

Pharherb lab, I am looking at the blood using a microscope machine and the computer begins to analyze the blood. From my observation this disease is more like a virus. Do they make a mistake or the virus acts like a disease?   

 

“Can I use it to create a virus that can turn a living being into a mutant soldier?”

 

I am watching the virus attacking and turning white blood cells into viruses and multiplying. But the rate of conversion is slow and some of the virus is in hibernation. We still have time to find the cure. Wait, does this virus can spread through air?

 

I take a deep breath. My mom and I have been in contact with Jade. Although the people near the victim don’t show any symptoms. But we might have become a carrier for the virus and it's only a matter of time before the virus activates.

 

“I need to prepare and check my body. This virus is new and there is no information about it.” 

 

Few hours later, after scanning my blood and body. It looks like there are no signs of the virus inside my body. Does that mean my body has strong antibodies or I am being paranoid? I better check my mom.

Dead town. Three people are entering the town. A group of the people seeing Chris' beautiful face and Ruby's sexy body try to do something bad.

 

“Are you new here?” A burly man with a group of people surrounded Vance, Chris and Ruby.

 

“That’s why I say, to let me go alone. You both are causing problems.” Vance sighs.

 

“I am a man.” Chris protested.

 

“I am innocent.” Ruby spoke.

 

“What are you talking about, give us the two women and we'll let you live.”

 

“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

 

The bullets come out from nowhere and pierce the burly man's body and head. Seeing that the other man begins to flee.

The bullets pierce through all of the men. They're all lying on the ground dead. The people that heard the gunshots quickly hid inside their building.  After a while a woman came out. 

 

“Thank you.” Vance spoke.

 

“Don’t worry, you hired me to be a bodyguard. Haven’t used a gun for some time. My aim is off.” Sara checks the dead burly man and other corpses.

 

After walking they stop at one of the old buildings.

 

“The signal is inside.” Ruby spoke after checking her device.

 

“Let me open it.” Vance put his palm on the door. The device inside his palm, crack the password and open the door. They all enter the building.

A young man with black curly hair named Zoey, just returned from selling some stuff. Returning to his home, he sees his home door has been opened.

 

Zoey is surprised and takes a crowbar inside his backpack. Entering his home, he can see a room where Li is open. Before he can rush in. A woman holding a gun aiming at his head.

 

“Stop moving or I'll shoot.”

 

“Who are you?”

 

“We come here to rescue someone.”

 

While they are talking. Four figures come out from the room. One of them is a robot. 

 

“Sara lets go.” Vance spoke.

 

“Wait, where are you taking Li?”

 

“You must be Zoey, thank you for taking care of Li. Don’t worry, we are Li's friends and we're going to get him fixed.” Vance smiles. Li is their friend that they lost contact with a few years ago. To think he is stranded on this planet.

 

[“Can you take him with us?”] Li spoke.

 

Vance looked at Ruby and she nodded.

 

“I don’t see a problem. Zoey came with us.”

 

Zoey hesitated at first, but in the end decided to join them. He has no one here, it’s better to go with them. He also wants to see an outside world.

Midnight, Pharherb lab. I have been checking my mom's blood and the people inside the mansion. Just like I suspected they all are infected but haven’t shown any symptoms. The virus is good at hiding without proper examination and no one can detect it.

 

Taking out the infected blood, I begin with normal medicine until the modified medicine that I made. After that I need to find an infected person to test it.

 

Next morning. Daisy's mansion is in commotion because master Levi has told them. They all are infected with the virus. They have informed the government, but they are not in panic because the virus is only dangerous for the elderly not healthy people.

 

Sitting in the living room is my mother and me. “Mom, to be safe it's better if you stay in the mansion for the time being.”

 

“Okay, Levi what about you?”

 

“I will stay in Pharherb for a while to find a cure. If any of our servant get sick tell me.”

 

Suddenly a woman with blonde hair drills into the mansion. “Daisy I am sorry because of me you got infected!” Jade hugged Daisy.

 

“Shouldn’t you stay at home?” I spoke.

 

“I forget after hearing Daisy get infected.” Jade tries to act cute. Because of medical advancement, she looks like a woman in her thirties.

 

I try to remain calm. Jade is the same age as my mother. What do you mean you forget because of you, my mom gets infected with the virus. In the end I don’t say anything, and leave the mansion.

 

In the car, I am thinking about the virus. Creating a cure or vaccine will take some time. The new modified medicine doesn’t work on the virus. From the testing, my body is immune to the virus because of my adept rank.

 

I even eject my own blood, vital energy and cast healing spells on the infected blood but it doesn't kill the virus. I need to pass the clinical trial of the drug and vaccine first, before begin any treatment.

Asteroid belt in OV-763 galaxy. Inside a large asteroid that has been converted into a secret experiment lab. A humanoid alien species with three eyes and blue skin is reading an experiment data on the screen tablet.

 

The door of the lab room opens and a woman with rabbit ears enters wearing a white lab coat. “Your excellency, the first phase has begun.”

 

“What is the reaction of the intergalactic superpower?”

 

“They thought the virus only infected the elderly.”

 

“The virus will not become a threat until it evolves into a second phase. Have you spread the rumor?”

 

“Yes, the virus is actually a disease and not dangerous.”

 

“Good keep spreading the rumor. When the virus evolves it will be too late for them to focus on creating a cure or vaccine.”

 

“Yes.”

 

“If my calculation is right, the virus will evolve in two or three months. At that time bring an infected person here to test and improve our vaccine. It will be useless if our species also gets infected, and this information must be kept secret.”
