Chapter 54: Chapter 53: Splitting Soul. (2)

The forest is dark and the only source of light is the moon. I can see in the dark and enhance my vision because of my skill and magic spells.

 

Rising my hand, a white mask appears on my hand. The mask is from the spatial storage. After putting on the white mask that only showed my eyes. I emerge from the forest, and see a large mansion. The strange thing is, according to the information.

 

There is supposed to be a military soldier guarding the outside of the mansion wall. Right now I don’t see any soldiers. But inside the wall, the mansion is still guarded by a group of people dressed in black.

 

I start walking toward the mansion after jumping over the wall. The mansion has a large garden as well as a pool. Because I'm using an illusion skill, none of the guards can see me. My mission's target is a government official, the vice president of Teria.

 

I'm not worried if they accuse us of assassinating a government official. Because when Liam accepted the mission. The person in charge of the mission, comes from the Human Federation. The vice president is working with the space pirate to commit murder, kidnapping, looting, and other serious crimes.

 

Entering the mansion through the window. I bypass several guards. Suddenly I sense something underground. After thinking for a while, I decided to check it first before killing the vice president.

I turn my head and see a man with silver hair and pointy ears. Humans called them space elves, because they resemble elf in the fairytale. Their species is called Evoins.

 

I am sure no one can see-through my illusion skill without special equipment. Or maybe it’s their species innate ability, he can only sense me.

 

“I am here to kill someone, but don’t worry I will send someone here to help you.”

 

Hearing the voice. Although they can’t see who it was. Most of the captives begin begging for help.

 

“No, don't leave, please release us.”

 

“I will give you anything, don’t leave.”

 

The reason they acted like that is because they have become captive far too long. Some of them even longer.

 

They are too noisy, so I raise my hand and get ready to use my assassin skill sleeping gas.

“You all be quiet!” A furry alien spoke. The captives quickly become quiet. “We are sorry; we will wait here.” The furry alien apologizes.

 

Without saying anything I lower my hand and leave the prison.

“Stupid fortunately there are no guards. If that invisible person dies, we are all going to be here forever.” The furry alien spoke.  

 

“You are smart.”

 

“Cough, not me, he is the one that told me.” The furry alien pointed at the Evoins. The male Evoins remains silent and closes his eyes. Evoins has acute hearing, which is why he notices someone approaching their prison cell.

 

Male Evoins have not shown any surprise reaction. Because their species has also developed stealth technology.

Coming out from the underground, I go straight to where the target is. The two guards are already dead and I absorb their soul energy. I need to stop after splitting my soul. “I heard some noise underground.” An alien with big ears spoke.

“I really hear….” the alien with big ears collapses to the floor.

 

“What happened….” The other guard also collapsed.

 

It looks like I waste a lot of time here. I need to hurry and kill the target. After that I need to help the other destroy the space pirate lair just in case.

A man with a chubby physique and scant hair is inside a room. And a middle-aged man with a pointed mustache who appears to be a gentleman is conversing.

Suddenly they hear screams outside the room. Before they can go out and check the wooden door engulfed in red flame and begin collapsing. From the flame a man with white mask that only showed the eyes entered the room.

 

“Who are you!” The chubby body shouted. While the middle-aged man with a pointed mustache. Take out his firearms and prepare to fire. 

 

The white mask figure throws two green fireballs at them. They don’t have time to evade and be engulfed with the green fire.

 

“Ahhhhh!”

 

“Helppp!”

 

Screaming from the pain, both of the men rolled on the floor. Causing the stuff near them to get burned by the flame.

 

The white mask man spoke. “Even if you can survive, the poison from the flame will kill you goodbye.” After saying that, the white mask man go out of the room.

I move toward the direction of the prison. I initially wanted to leave the captives. But I am afraid they will die from the flame or the people will use them as hostages. I might as well make them owe the Blood Shield mercenary a favor. Every guard that I see I kill them and absorb their soul.

 

At the prison suddenly the captives see a man wearing a white mask. The man released them from prison and killed all the guards. And telling them he is from a Blood Shield mercenary. He also gives them a weapon and contacts the police for help. After that that white mask man disappears into the forest.

 

All of them promised themselves they will reward the Blood Shield mercenary later. After returning to their family.
