[A/N: Let's begin Heylel's intro to the world of capes and masks.]
[Two months later.]
"You guys do know that you don't have to stay right?" I asked the group of four gathered around me, Dina, Mathew, Riley, and Prince were playing a game of monopoly by the side as I worked my way through sticking the fins to my plastic rocket.
"Hey, Riley mind giving me a loan of a thousand bucks?" Prince asked his friend sharing the joint desk completely ignoring me.
"Here you go," Riley said, "Two turns, and I want a credit of 200 hundred," Prince nodded immediately spinning the money over to buy a property on the board.
Dina giggled uncontrollably—probably at me, as Mathew the banker looked on at the transaction with displeasure probably angry that Prince got the loan from Riley and not his predatory bank all the while ignoring me.
Ah yes, the woes of innocent friendships, the pain of being ignored! Well, it will be I who will ignore them when puberty hits and when they all start trying to bed me!
Shaking my head, I finish my last fin as I inform them, "I'll be back in a bit."
Taking the hunk of plastic out of the class, I head down the familiar marble slabbed hallways of the school.
Walking down these halls made one feel tiny, the archways dwarfed me by magnitudes, you could take a knife and cut this hallway down the middle and you won't know which side was left or right—it was symmetry taken to a science.
And accompanied by the quiet and calm of the after-school hours, leaving you alone here just felt serine, especially on calm days like these.
Then a thunderclap cracked, ripping the silence in two. It was like a small explosion had gone out. A controlled explosion. A very familiar one. Shit, I cursed under my breath, I knew this, how could I not? Someone had just fired a gun.
Before I knew it my phone was in my hand, and I quickly typed out, 'Gunshot, school,' quickly and efficiently.
And in an instant I got a reply, it was from Damian, 'Stay in your class, I am just outside the school, I will sneak back in. Don't come out.'
Slipping my phone back inside, I immediately bolted back, tracing my steps. The sound came from the Auditorium, with a leeway of two minutes if the enemy moves to secure the building. Even still I slowed down at every corner choosing to peak first using my phone's camera to peak round the corners first.
Soon I was in my class, it was open and they were there still busy with their monopoly game, seeing me utterly out of breath, practically gasping for air I had their undecided attention.
"Gunshots," As I said a voice rang down the hallways, it came from the PA system.
"Hello, kiddy widdies! The names Harley Quinn..."

I could even hear what she was saying. My mind had tuned her out. Panic was running naked over my skin. I could almost feel the utter bitterness of the news rolling over my tongue.
Taking a deep breath, I pulled my bag onto the desk, digging through I pulled out a taser and a paper-knife, could I kill a man with it? Probably not. Could I castrate one with it? Given the element of surprise.
The others kept staring at me as I enclosed my two pieces against my belt. As for these four, should I keep them? Yeah, best case, I will get praise for keeping them safe, worst case—they become more bodies between the invaders and me.
"What, that's a joke right?" Mathew asked, his voice shaking, desperate for me to affirm his words.
"Doesn't look like it," I pulled open my phone to see the towers had completely died. A signal jammer?
"The phones don't work," Prince said and I was sure, we had been cut off. Riley moved to the windows, "Thugs all around the walls, they have guns," He said and I could almost feel the chills running down his back. And his words did it for me, never in the nine hells would I fight gunmen willingly. We need to hide.
"What should we do?" Mathew asked as he turned to me, why me? Whatever, "We hide," I said only to be refuted immediately by Dina, "No!" She almost shouted but was silenced by my glare, "Don't you dare shout," My voice was unnaturally cold as I scolded her, but still she didn't stop, "...I mean, what if they find us?"
"And we are better off here? In the open?" Prince refuted as he moved to the door, "But where do we go?" his eyes surveyed the hallways, we had been seen yet.
"...No, Mira, Prince you can't be serious, we can't leave this school—our school to these barbarians." She hissed at us, damn when did this girl get so headstrong.
"We are kids, Batman must already be here right now," I told them, hopefully, Damien was quick to inform Bruce.
Dian's fists clenched, immiscible, "Should be barricaded the class?"
I looked at the four, think Heylel, think. Where would you hide, where would they not look? Every class is locked so they are out
They have the cameras, right first thing, I towed up one of the front desks and tossed it over the one at the corner, just below the camera.
Taking my time, I hoisted myself up the makeshift scaffolding. Carefully I wrapped my arms around the camera and pulled—no effect. Damn, they had decent hooks. Still, there was a way—tightly I gripped the camera and jumped. There was a sting in my arm as I felt a jerk, my weight overpowering it, ripping it out the wall, and as my feet crashed on the ground I could see the camera swinging loosely in my hands.
Now that the camera's out, "Let's get moving." I tunred to see a silent crowd of familiar crafts' kids. Shit, we had just doubled our numbers, probaly drawn by all the commotion. And looking at the clock it had already been five minutes, thankfully we were on the top floor—we probaly had a few more to prepair.

(A/N: We are getting to the hero part of this villain story.
Also to be entirely honest, I find it bloody hilarious when people say 'he/she is a villain, they are not meant to be likable,' and I go, 'I am pretty sure you could make a despicable character likable as long as you have the skill.')
