Harvey exited from a black hole. His environment was very familiar. There he saw the garden where
the old gardener loved to plant roses. Blooming roses were beautiful to behold. In the center, there was a little fountain that was flowing. It gave the surrounding a relaxing sight. So, Harvey stood still for a while to view the garden. The gardener was not there so it was very quiet.
A moment after, he decided to go to his room to sleep. He was sleepless for those late days after he witnessed those horrible experiences. His room was still solemn since he was living alone. He had no other close friends except John and books. He went to his bedroom and laid his body in it. The soft mattress gave him a relaxing feeling. Harvey looked at the ceiling and sighed, "Finally, I am back."
He slept for the whole day. It was night when he was woken up. His stomach growled so went to his kitchen to cook his dinner. That little kitchen was abundant since Harvey did not like to empty his refrigerator. It was full of fruits some of which had rotten. There was fish but seems it was already uneatable. The only consumable food to cook was the sweet potato. So, he boiled the sweet potato for an hour until it was cooked. He chuckled when he remembered that he was a sweet potato lover. Every other day he always cooked sweet potatoes.
On the small table, he laid the smokey-boiled sweet potatoes. Then, he took a sit and prayed. Before, when he wanted to eat peacefully, there was someone chatty. When he prayed silently, the other person will start a conversation. It was annoying. He suddenly felt hurt when he remembered the person he was describing himself. In front of the food, he was spacing out. It was no good.
He wanted to eat but he lost his appetite after remembering the person who cooked him when he was not in the mood. It was nostalgic and maybe sentimental. Thinking the man was similarly as he missed his mother. He felt the longing for someone and did not know how to fulfill it anymore. He already promised himself to forget everything. But now, he had lost his eagerness to do.
Later, there was a knock on the door. It was very loud and hard. Harvey whose mind was wandering suddenly livened up and hurriedly went to open the door. He saw John who was drenched in sweat and had an inexplicable expression. He was panting and his breath seemed in a minute will stop. So, Harvey let John in and there they took a seat on the sofa.
"What happened?", Harvey asked with concern.
"It was ghastly. There was something horrible in our apartment.", John who was holding his breath spoke.
"What do you mean?", Harvey who was no longer new to what he meant but still asked to ensure it was what he was thinking.
"There was a hole that seems a portal. I don't know what it is. But it was dangerous. I met it just earlier and there was a hand that wanted to grab someone. Fortunately, I escape from that. Then, I ran away to here.", John told his story.
"Where it is?", Harvey interrogated.
"There in my room. I think it is still there, we can't go now.", John answered with heavy breaths.
"I need to check it. You can stay here since you're still panting. Relax.", Harvey said and hurriedly went to John's room.
Harvey hurried his steps in the hallway. It was very silent which seems an abandoned hallway. He reached John's room and quickly opened the door. The room was not dark and the messy things before were already organized. He scanned the room and noticed nothing. So, he walked around and searched every corner. The hole was there behind the door similar to the other holes. Harvey noticed something new. The hole was no longer black. It was a white hole.
The hole was stationary and seems not dangerous as it looked. It was similar to the gateway to heaven. So, Harvey decided to enter the hole to check what was inside but it was blocked by something. He can't enter the white hole as directly as black holes. Something was missing from that hole so he quickly moved away. He didn't sense danger in that hole but he just securing himself. In the distance, he watched the white hole for a long to answer his questions. When suddenly, there was a hand expanding from the hole. It was covered with black gloves and it was grabbing something. So, Harvey came nearer and stood to be pulled. The hand caught his arm and immediately seized him to the hole.
Harvey was still in a daze when he was brought by barren land. The hand's owner was nowhere to be seen. So, he looked around the area. It was a land of death. There was no grass or even growing trees. What was there were the rocks and stones. Harvey noticed a steep so he checked it. The steep was very deep and scary to look at. What he was standing on was like a plateau where there was flat land on top of a mountain. He can't bear to look the steep anymore so he went back to the center.
The temperature was not boiling even though there was the sun. The air was damp and bone-chilling. Harvey felt cold even if he was standing under the sun. There was a big rock in the center so he took a seat on it. He thought he was like waiting for nothing when he saw the barren land. The earth seemed tangible as it wrapped the wide horizon. There was no presence of living things.
The horizon was too dark when the sun was setting. In the real world, it was already night but here the sun was setting. Harvey described the environment himself. He had nothing else to do so he laid down the hard rock and there he watched the starless night. There was the big moon that shone but it was all alone.
An hour after, when suddenly he saw some lights from far away. He quickly hid behind the big rock and quietened himself. There he can hear voices and it was audible.
"The Kahuna died?", the first person with a deep voice asked.
"Is he immortal?", the small voice also posted a question.
"Yes, his soul was dead but not his body.", the trembling voice that seems old answered.
"Really? How he achieved that?", the first person wondered.
"Well. That's beyond my scope.", the old man replied.
Three people were journeying in the barren land. Harvey just listened behind the rock and there he seems to remember something. He had already heard that "Kahuna" maybe.
"Grandpa, is this already the netherworld?", the little voice asked.

"Yes. Let's walk towards the big rock. We can wait there until midnight.", Grandpa let the two people to the big rock.
"Grandpa, how is the netherworld open?", the young man with a deep voice was inquiring.
"Till midnight. The netherworld before can open anytime until the Kahuna stabbed himself. The entrance is already restricted.", Grandpa shared.
Harvey who was near the three people held his breath to prevent from being noticed. He covered his mouth while listening to them talking about Kahuna and the netherworld.
The little child was intrigued by the Kahuna so he pressed another question, "Grandpa, I was wondering why the Kahuna stabbed his heart. Does he wants to die?"
Grandpa didn't know a lot of information but he said, "Some keepers say that he enamored someone. Some said that he was committing suicide to sacrifice himself."
The young man was surprised so he clarified, "Grandpa, you mean he was in love with someone."
"Well, that was all speculation. Kahuna was very private and when he was living, monsters and keepers were intimidated by him."
"Oh, I want to be like him too.", the little child suddenly uttered.
The old man and youngster laughed at him. "You want to die too?"
"No, I want to become strong like him.", the child defended himself.
Harvey was still there behind the rock when suddenly the moon doubled. There were already two moons shining in the starless sky. The Grandpa looked up at the sky and said, "It is already midnight. Prepare yourselves."
The big rock suddenly submerged into the barren land. The moon from the north met with the south moon in the center. The two moons shone on the submerging big rock. Then, suddenly there was a black hole that appear on the ground.
"Prepare yourselves to jump. We have seconds to enter the netherworld. Hurry.", Grandpa told the two people.
Harvey who was crouching on the ground and exposed also jumped the netherworld's portal after the three people.
The portal closed and there the new world appeared. The three people tidied themselves and noticed that there was another person.
"Who are you?", the old man asked Harvey.
"I am Harvey. You are?", Harvey asked and extended his hand.
The old man glared at him and beckoned the two persons to not approach Harvey.
"Don't talk to him. He's not one of us. Get away from him.", Grandpa warned the two people.
"What do you mean, Grandpa? He's not one of the villagers.", the little child asked.
"Yes, he is human. He had a cleft between his mouth and nose."
"Nice to meet you. I am human and you were the?", Harvey asked again.
The young man was interested so he extended his hand and replied, "I am Lookie. Netherworld villager."
Harvey smiled at the young man and shook hands with him. The old Grandpa noticed Lookie who was bewitched so he quickly grabbed his whip and beat the young man.
"The humans are dangerous.", Grandpa declared while beating the young man.
