Chapter 29: CHAPTER 29: I Can See The Light Again

The bedroom was very quiet and the light outside can't shine after the curtain. There in the bed, Harvey had fallen asleep while hugging Zion tightly. This was his very first time hugging the man with his will. Nobody treated him like that except his mother. His tears unconsciously fell on his closed eyes. Those tears that with different meanings. His heart and mind were not balanced. The idea of loving Zion was what his heart wanted while, his mind was telling him that loving a man was taboo, so why he did do that? Yes, he was a man but then he had the right to choose who he wanted to love if it is a woman or a man. There is no wrong in loving someone, what is wrong is fooling yourself.

The chaos outside had already stopped. Mickey entered back to the room and shut the door. He was feeling embarrassed after not knowing this type of gratification. He didn't even know that his private, was the one that can make someone happy. He laughed crazily when suddenly, Harvey called him.

"Mickey. Bring me there.", Harvey called from his bedroom.

Mickey rushed his steps to Harvey's bedroom and there he opened the door sluggishly. He tumbled down when he entered the bedroom. Mickey walked carelessly which made him fall. So, he immediately stood up and tidied his pants. He laughed and then stared at Harvey, "I am sorry. I am just feeling excited." Harvey was sitting in the bed and replied, "What happened to you? Why did you feel excited that instant?". Mickey sat at the chair in the corner while smiling at Harvey. He fell silent for a while to tease the blind man. Harvey groped from his bed, stood up, and then uttered, "Where are you, Mickey?"

Still sitting in the corner, Mickey was annoying Harvey. He was getting this opportunity to mock the man while he can't still see. Before this man was very serious and you can't joke with him. While he was covering his mouth and giggling, suddenly there was a black hole appeared behind the bedroom door. Mickey sensed and checked it. That black hole was static and wasn't dangerous to look at. But, eyes were just deceitful. Harvey can't still see so he was unaware of what was happening. Mickey flexed his body towards Harvey and then shielded him. That black hole was silent for a long time and it didn't produce any monster or what.

"Harvey, the black hole appears again.", Mickey said while covering his body with Harvey.

"Where?", Harvey asked while holding Zion's hands.

"There behind the door. It was already there for how many minutes.", Mickey replied.

Harvey fell silent after what Mickey had said. He was contemplating what he needed to do. Mickey sweated violently and his heart beat rapidly. This was the first time that the black hole was very quiet. So, Mickey was very curious and approached the black hole. He extended his arms in it and felt that static hole. Harvey was still there sitting beside Zion, who was still unmoving. Deep inside, he was very scared since he can't see the environment, but he just hide all his fears. Zion can't protect him anymore, and there's his subordinate who was also foolish. He didn't know if his life will be guaranteed with Mickey's protection. His mind was wandering and can't focus.

Behind the door, Mickey was still standing before that black hole. He was quiet while still extending his hands in it. After a while, suddenly, that black hole turned red. Mickey was surprised and he stepped back. This was the first time that a black hole changed to red. It was very unusual even the keeper didn't know what was the meaning of its sudden change. Mickey checked Harvey and the man was still in his bed. So, Mickey slowly came near Harvey and then said, "The black hole changed its color." Harvey looked up and listened to Mickey's voice. He was still holding Zion's hand and replied, "What color? Is it white?". Mickey quirked his brows when Harvey mentioned that white hole, "You saw that white hole? This hole now was black and then changed into red. It is very unusual."

Harvey was shocked and then he assumed, "Then, that hole is not ordinary. Am I right?"

Mickey took a glance at Zion's unmoving body and said, "Yeah. Just Kahuna knows everything about the netherworld. If he is here, we will not be worried."

"We can check it inside. Bring me there in that hole. Before I entered that white hole and now I want to try that red hole.", Harvey urged Mickey whose having an ugly expression. He was a keeper but he dared not to that entering holes in this world. This may risk their lives. So, he thought for answers and then he replied Harvey, "We shouldn't be that impulsive, Harvey. We don't know what is inside. Even me as a keeper, I am hesitating."

Harvey rose from his bed and then he floundered to his door. Mickey was astounded so he held Harvey's arm tightly. "Don't be stubborn, Harvey. What if you die there? There's no way out if you risk." Harvey paused and then shook his arms violently to release Mickey's grip. But seemed Mickey's hand was irresistible so he pinched Mickey's arms hardly. The man screamed in pain and then unconsciously loosened his grip. He can't stop Harvey anymore after one man's last step, will be leading to that red hole. Mickey was also ignoring him since he can't help it anymore. That man was hardheaded, if he will stop him, there's no effect.

That red hole disappeared after Harvey entered it. Harvey was in a daze after he had gotten out of that hole. He rubbed his eyes and there his sight returned. He was stunned after a long time of being blind. What he was standing was very familiar, it was the apartment's garden. His eyes can see clearly that a red hole was bound to his apartment. His mind was confused since he came from his apartment and then also back to it after entering that red hole. Harvey scanned the garden

and there he didn't see any people. The sun was burning his skin so he quickly ran for the porch. There, he stopped beside the wall post and then sensed that area. This was already not his usual apartment so he must be ready in case of anything bad will happen.

The porch was displaying a hair-raising atmosphere since it was very quiet. It was similar to an abandoned building. Harvey looked around and hadn't noticed the danger. So, he carefully went upstairs to check his room. He passed on another's room but the door outside was locked and chained. Harvey was dumbfounded after seeing it so he ran speedily to his room. door was ajar and he can hear someone singing inside. He slowly peeked at his door, and there was a woman. He observed the woman when suddenly, it slowly facing him. He saw his mother's smiling face. Harvey already missed his mother and he wanted to see her again. "Harvey. Come here. What are you doing there at the door?" His mother beckoned him to let in. Harvey was blank and very silent. His body froze and he didn't know how to interact with that woman. When suddenly, there's a voice beside him, "She's already a ghost. Ignore her." Harvey quickly moved his head and there he saw Zion with a smiling face.

"Zion? I....um...What are you doing here?", Harvey wanted to say that he was missing the man but this world was not that real. So, he just asked him.

"Shocked, huh? I am here to protect you. Hahaha, why your face was burning, huh?", Zion saw Harvey's shy face and then he laughed loudly. The woman inside approached them after she heard Zion's loud laughter. On the other side, Harvey was still frozen while staring at Zion.

That ghost Harvey's mother welcomed Zion, "Come in my sons. What are you standing here at the door? It is bad for pregnancy."

Harvey who was silent, quickly interjected, "Ma, don't joke around. There's no pregnant woman here." Harvey knew that standing at someone's door was bad for a pregnant woman according to Filipino belief.

Zion was very fond of teasing so he screamed, "Ma, your son is very defensive." Harvey froze and didn't know how to interact with the two people. He was observing his mother's reaction when he saw that his mama was also laughing with Zion. His mother's teeth were very thin and sharp and it shocked Harvey. He also looked down to see if his mother was having a shadow but it was not what he expected, his mother's feet were floating.

Harvey had goosebumps so he declared, "Ma, I think the refrigerator was empty. I need to go to the market today. Ma, you can relax here and wait for me." Mrs.Cruz nodded and then went back inside. Zion also noticed Harvey's trembling hands so he extended his hand and then held it tightly." I am here. Don't worry.", Zion whispered to him and then stole a kiss on Harvey's cheek. Zion smiled at him while Harvey left unmoving. His eyes were intentionally staring at Zion and his mouth can't say any words.

Zion patted Harvey's shoulder and then spoke, "What's that reaction? You already kissed my lips before, then now you are very shocked when I kiss your cheek."

Harvey remembered that on that day, he was confused why this man knew what he was doing before, so he defended, "I think you are just dreaming. Who wanted to kiss another man?"

Then suddenly, Zion laughed crazily and then continued, "I think so. But I can describe that your lip is very soft. You also said that sweet word, "I love you"." Harvey thought that this man knew everything but he need to calm himself. What's there if that man knew, in the real world he was half-dead? Maybe, Zion was just blabbing everything he wanted to say. So, Harvey stayed silent and then ignored Zion who was still giggling and teasing him. After a while, Harvey walked away and then went downstairs. He had no chance if he always talked with that foolish Zion. Harvey will end up the victim and the laughingstock of the crowd.

Zion noticed Harvey who was rushing away so he followed him. Harvey was already riding his motorcycle and starting the engine when Zion quickly held the motorcycle's tail and then said, "My boyfriend is naughty. He will always leave me behind." Harvey didn't listen to him and then quickly drove leaving Zion who stumbled on the ground. "Ouch. My legs are broken. I can't stand anymore.", Zion screamed. Harvey heard him and became concerned so he went back. He saw Zion hunching on the ground and holding his legs.

"Are you okay? I am sorry. I can bring you to the hospital for the check-up.", Harvey told him and then he supported Zion to stand. Then, Zion teased Harvey again, "Your kiss can heal this." Harvey was being mocked again so he had no choice but to push Zion back to the ground. "Kiss your ass. You can kiss whoever you want except me." Harvey left him behind and then drove his motorcycle to the market.

"Why am I kissing others? You might get jealous if I do that.", Zion screamed but Harvey can't hear him anymore so he just laughed himself.
