The team didn't want to waste any time there and they quickly headed to one of the exits.

Before they set bodies on fire they had already shared their weapons between them. Thar said he preferred blunt weapons so he didn't get a sword but he got Kaan's baseball bat.

Emily got one of the swords so did Kaan. The last sword was in the hands of Dean because he said he wanted to try dual-wielding with a light excitement.

The entrances of the supermarket other than they headed in were closed with blockages, but they didn't want to head out from there so they chose the closest blocked exit and created a way for them to exit.

Before they exit, Thar gave all of them watches saying that they need to keep track of the time.

Dean was the first one to get outside; after that, it was Kaan followed by Emily, and the last one was Thar.

As they got out outside they were not surprised by seeing the zombies. Kaan saw Dean running with both swords in his hands and began to kill zombies. His hesitation was already gone as he moved with a slight trace of anger and without fear.

Thar smiled happily about it but Emily and Kaan had different thoughts about this.

Without wasting time they joined Dean, in the end, all of the zombies were XP and they needed XP, a lot.

They got away from to supermarket towards the Forest. Like Emily thought the zombies' number decreased very much in the outer part of the city

Dean offered to move without avoiding the zombies and killing them. It would take a bit more time but the night was already fallen so it wouldn't make a difference if they got to the forest in half an hour or in two hours.

Everyone accepted the idea and they began to clean zombies on their way; Without the threat of being surrounded by zombies it was much easier to kill them but no one let go of their guards also they were getting more coordinated by experiencing fighting together.

'Something doesn't feel right.'

Kaan thought after a while. They were killing zombies without much problem but something felt weird. They probably killed tens of zombies, he had already levelled up yet he saw so many corpses that once belonged to humans around the streets and nearly no survivors.

'I thought two groups clashed here but it does not seem like the case.'

Initially, he thought that was the case but there were just too many dead bodies, he counted nearly fifteen and while some of them died in an expected way some of them had died in a so gruesome way: a hole in their upper body, some of their legs were missing or they were laying on the ground, blood gushing out where their head should have been.

They couldn't have been killed by zombies but it couldn't have been made by humans, he wanted to think, but it might have been someone's personal quest or the work of a psychopath.

They continued their way but the dead bodies which died in a gruesome way continued to appear and Kaan was not the only one aware of it.

"Everyone, stop."

Emily suddenly said with a shaken voice. Kaan saw her face become pale and her lips tremble.

"We should... escape."

She said with anxiety, she looked like she was barely standing. Thar quickly ran towards her and held her.

"Em, What's happening?"

He said with worry in his eyes, not able to understand what happened suddenly. Everyone was surprised by her sudden words. Kaan was carefully listening to the words that will come out of her mouth because he felt uneasiness coming from her, also he had that feeling of something bad was approaching.

But before he could hear anything a piercing pain made him lose his focus.

The pain was not even close when he saw the vision of Dean dying. It felt like a dagger stabbing his brain again and again. He felt the tears dropping from his cheeks as he whined in pain and after the black curtains covered his eyes he found himself in another vision.

The first thing he felt was the pain in his abdomen. He saw a claw-shaped wound as blood flowed quickly as he in this reality pressed the wound with his hand, he was dying.

'Fuck, why I'm feeling everything in these visions?'

He wanted to shout because of the pain but he was only a host on the body of himself in the vision. He didn't want to feel pain but it seems like there was no way out for him and it also seemed fair when he thought about it.

'This must be the payment of this ability.'

He thought and when him in the vision raised his head he saw that they were on the same street, just a little on the back.

Emily was on the ground without an arm and a hole in her chest, there was a pool of blood under her so she must be the one who died first. Not too away from her, Dean was lying under a wall that has traces of him sliding down, leaving a blood trail; His throat along with a part of his face was bitten off.

Kaan then saw Thar in frenzy, his tears were mixed with blood on his face. He was shouting every time he swung the sword in his hand trying to kill the monster with everything he had but from looking at his injuries, Kaan could say it wouldn't take long for him the join them.

In his last seconds in the vision, Kaan focused on the monster they were fighting, an infected werewolf. Its eyes were no longer where they used to be and half of its face was already rotten and its fur was falling out. No blood was coming out from the wounds all over ever his body and they showed that its insides were decaying.

'He must have died while using his ability.'

From the seconds of fighting he watched, he could say that this infected werewolf was using his mind even if it was a little bit. He was not like the zombies they encountered until now that just only attacked, this one blocked and attacked when it saw an opening, it was agile and strong. There were various wounds on its body and one of its arms was missing but it didn't mind any injuries in its body as he attacked Thar. He could say that their vision-selfs put up a good fight but it seemed that it was not enough.

'It'll be a problem.'

Kaan was thinking about how they could deal with this.

He didn't know how everything ended up like this in this reality he was able to only have one thought from the mind of him in this reality.

'Why have I tried to save you, you unluck fucker?'

He in this reality was not angry at Dean or he was regretting his decision when thinking about it. The thing that made him angry was he was not able to succeed in saving Dean or himself but it was too late for everything, at least for him in this vision.

Kaan felt that his eyes were closing as death got closer and also felt that vision was coming closer but then he felt something chilling, It was like a hand reaching for his soul not wanting to let him go. Kaan felt himself crushing under the pressure of this feeling but then suddenly something pushed the hand holding his soul causing it to release him.

'Watching you…'

He heard a disembodied and emotionless voice echoing in his mind as the cold pierced his soul while it was returning to his real body.
