Chapter 2: Chapter 2

     It was like a glass jar was slowly turning to dust. The sound of distant talking became clearer and lights were becoming brighter. 

"...and this is one of the ones we've had the longest!" 

     Two hazy fingers became clearer and were getting larger.

     'No, their getting closer...' It was now her vision became clear enough to realizing they were separated by a large sheat of glass.

     "Would you like to take a closer look?  Oh, don't worry! She's never moved on her own before." A hazy figure look mostly white with a hazy pair of blue legs was where she thought the voice came from. 

     "Then if she's not dangerous then why is she in a special security room?" The other figure looked to be similar but it sounded like a female?

     "That's because she's in a quarantined experiment with injections of modified versions of pledges that could kill you in a matter of days or even seconds! But as long as you ware the code red hazard suit you'll be fine." 

     'Is he trying to... show me off?' They waked through a door out of her sight.

     'How long ha--AAHH!?' As her senses became clearer, so did her sense of pain. Her teeth clenched shut as her entire body went stiff as bord. There was nothing restraining her but she couldn't move anyways as the pain only intensified. It was coming from all of the IVs and tubes that were attached to her body. 

     "Are you sure we can be here? I don't think she looked like that before..."

     "I'm sure we'll be fine..."

     She could barely keep tabs on her surroundings but she managed to sit up when they turned away from her. Some of the tubes and IVs were still attached but she doesn't have time to think of that because right now they must have something she needs... a security pass.     

     Standing was far more difficult then it should have been, or maybe not? Most off the IVs had been yanked from her skin but that doesn't matter because now she was falling. Some of the tubes had stoped her when reaching out to grab one of them. She tried reaching out to one of them but was to far to grab anything. She hit the flore.

     "*EEEK!* I thought you said she doesn't move!"

     "Wha--?!"

     Looking up, she grabbed a IV needle and reached out to the girl. Her grip wasn't strong enough to keep the girl from moving but she was able to stab the girl through the suit with the needle. The girl didn't seem to notice though.

     "HURRY UP!" The girl yeld at the boy, he was panicked and fumbling with something. The girl grabbed a thin metal slate from the boy. "D*mn it! I do it my self!" She pushed him to the ground and opened the door. She tried closing the door but the boy had placed his hands in the frame. 

     "NO!" But the girl didn't listen. She started slamming the door on his hands, trying to get thim to move. By this time Alnueava had stood back up and was removing the left over tubes and such. She could see the boys hands had been blooded and his gloves in taters.

     This is when the girl started coughing. It started as a small cough but it was qsuickly getting worse. Her breathing was raspy and laberd, she'd let go of the door handle and started stumbling around in the other room.

     Stepping over the now also coughing boy, Alnueava pushed open the door. There's blood on the floor and stepping through it, she realized she's barefoot and not in much to begin with. Just a cloth to cover her private areas. 

     Looking to the girl who was laying in the middle of the floor. She grabbed the metal card and removed the girls safty suit. After that was off she took the girls plain white lab coat, under it she found a black under shirt.... she took that too. Once she was done geting drest she looked at the two scientists. A chilling smile formed on her sickly pale face.  

     'I really am lucky. If that hadn't come at the time they did and if I didn't wake right before they did, who knows if I'dever get another chance at escape, but for them to panic so much is really where I'd gotten lucky... panic can only lead to mistakes.' 

     Alnueava grabbed a few needles and stuck some in each of their necks. But looking at the girls foot that she'd pricked, it had turnd purple and all her veins kept swelling and geting bigger. She's also bleeding from all seven orifices. 

     Walking down hallways and opening doors has never been more difficult. The pain was so distracting, it wasn't easy to keep consistent thoughts. But following signs wasn't so difficult. She also realized that although their language was similar to another she new, they were not the same. Some things were spelled different and the way they pernounced things were different. It's like everything had lost their original twist but had another to make up for it. 

     "Though, it's true I would have my natural accent either way."

     She frowned at how rough her voice sounded and how dry it became after one sentence. 'Well not time to think about it' Continuing down the hallway a loud and rhythmic beeping starts running through the hallway. 

     She starts heding down an off shoot of the main hallway. As much as she'd love to run, she didn't have the energy or the coordination right now. What she saw next brought a smile to her face. 

     '''Emergency Staff Exit' humm?"

     It was a magic circle with a pedestal in the center. Placing the metal slate on it it began to activate. It's likely send someone to a certain distance depending on how much mana was placed into it. Knowing this she tried injecting more mana into it. The feeling was slightly different in a human body compared to her last. Not that she really minded.

     The ruins began to flicker and light up. Then, with a burst of light, she disappeared.
