Demons, mischief to the whole world. Rejects, considered as fallen angels by the people. According to the God's book, demons aren't needed, and the world needs his guidance. That is why, God has given the land an authority to fight against them. The authority to have power, to be blessed by the God almighty.
In the current earth, there are few selected people labelled as Blessed. They are called Blessed because the father from above has blessed them. The Blessed have the power to fight, the power to summon a magical weapon given to them, and only its user can use it. However, only by saying May the father guide me can the blessed call upon their weapons.
Decades has passed since the Gods descension and the first Blessed's appearance. Even after all those times, it is still a mystery. Who knows? The Blessed might be the reason why demons still exists.
Anyways, Lerey is one of the Blessed. Against a normal person, he is indeed way stronger than them, however, compared to a Blessed that received more education in honing their skills of being a Blessed, not much to say.
"Hiss, isn't that a Blessed's weapon? Seems like it's a shotgun with a knife, huh. A rusted piece of garbage, suitable for an unrecognised Blessed." The snake mocked. "Why take it out though? I just wanted to ask if you're that Lerey."
Lerey kept silent. '...this is bad news for me....' He thought. '...I wanted to stay away from the work of a Blessed....yeah, I am a Blessed too but, I don't want to be in any more danger....and on top of that, it's a Demon that can talk meaning it will be a pain in the ass...this is why I quitted, and now I'm encountering one...and a talking one at that...'
Although Lerey looks calm and calculated, he is uneasy right now. One should never underestimate an opponent. That is why, even if the thing in front of him looks like a normal snake, it is a demon with intelligence, since normally, they are just like wild animals, and Lerey haven't encountered anything stronger than that once in his whole life.
Two years before, Lerey worked as a blessed. However, he quitted quickly. It may sound like a cool and respectable job, but to him—very no. The strong, doesn't care about the weak. If you are not in a position at least, you will not get a pay. Still, no one bats an eye because of this rule from the higher ups—It is better to give it to those in need. A Blessed should volunteer with sincerity for peace to God, not expecting anything in exchange.
He was frustrated because of this. Well, he still respects the God no matter what. Unfortunately, he has to do it in order to live, not like their city is scarce of Blessed people, and it has been all nothing but peace so far excluding the minor cases.
'...what should I do? It's a talking demon...what should I do? It's a talking demon...what should I do? It's a talking demon...what should I do? It's a talking demon...what should I do? It's a talking demon..' Lerey started to mash up his thoughts.
"Hiss, so I guess this is it. I shouldn't expect an answer. Well, it's already obvious." The snake said then added. "Let me tell you what, I am God, and I like toilet water very much that I can bring drought to this town. Oh right, will you believe that I am God?"
"...no, a demon like you can never be God." He answered fiercely, as to not appear tainted or weak. "What's your business and why do you know my name?"
"I said I'm God, I can know everyones name just from seeing their face alone. Now that I gave you the proof, do you still doubt me?"

"...do not move or I'll shoot."
"What a useless thing to say." The snake snickered even more. "The more cautious one is, the more weaker they are. Hmm, you just gave me an idea for a new saying. Anyways, follow me. Hisss ~ ~ ~ ~"
Suddenly, the snake leaped towards him. Lerey, with his past experience and fast reaction, barely managed to dodge it by squatting. He then looked behind, however, the snake isn't anywhere to be found anymore. 'Where did it go!?'
"KYAAAAA!!!" Another suddenly, he heard a familiar voice screaming. Without furder ado, he came out the door and immediately followed where the scream was. Then, he bumped to Je's sister from earlier, who seemed to be running from fright.
"What's wrong!?" Lerey asked as he helped her stand up. "I-A SNAKE!" She shouted while pointing at the stairs. "Where!?" He asked. "In my room...IN MY ROOM!!"
"...in your room..." The snake teleporting is already shocking to him. Lerey wanted to chase to snake, however, hearing that it's in a girl's room made him hesitate even more.... "By the way, where's that Je?"
"He's...playing outside, thankfully."
"I see, that's good. Then, I will get that snake for you, kay?" Lerey mustered his courage and rushed towards the stairs without asking permission. The young woman, seeing this, warned. "Hey! Don't tell me you're going alone!? Let me call help first! It might be a demon!"
"Don't worry, I'm a Blessed. Oh right, you don't know about it." Lerey replied with a small voice that she probably wasn't able to hear it and started checking the two doors on the second floor, and the second one looks more like a girls room so he chose to go inside there, with calmness of course.
Not seconds later, he already found the snake. But not in the room, but from her neighbour's roof in the front, hissing at him from the opened window. He wonders, what's he supposed to do?
Then, he hears the snake whisper on his ears, even though it's afar—"Hiss, this is your trial if you're worthy to be my deciple."
