"Take these and pass it along" said Miss Aiko as she handed the student closest to her a stack of papers.
It was repeated for a while until it finally reached my desk.
I took one and passed it to my left side.
The girl next to me took it without even looking at me.
Wow that's cold. Ice cold
Observing the paper in front of me, I noticed that it was a test paper.
Sigh an exam on the very first day? These people have no chill.
After everybody got their own copy of the exam
Miss Aiko spoke
"Consider this your very first class clash and good luck so you may now begin"
The entire class looked around at each other in confusion and began the write the exam.
Can't say I expected that turn of events so soon but she did foreshadow it during her earlier explanation.
Flipping through the 2 page exam, I saw that it was pretty straight forward.
10 questions in total with the task of answering only 5 of them.
5 of the questions were simple and 5 were more on the difficult side.
If you got the 5 easy questions correct then you pass but the trick was the answer you got for the previous question will be needed to solve the one after it. So if you get one wrong, you're basically in a hole.
The harder questions were not linked together but they were second year going into third year level so tackling them would be like wrestling a bear but if you get them correct then you pass.
I decided what I wanted to do then picked up my blue ink pen.

After 10 minutes I was done with the exam.
I looked over to the girl who was sitting next to me and saw her tackling the hard questions but was stuck on the last one which was a university level question.
I asked to borrow her eraser and she gave it to me.
Well this is going to be awkward, being the first person to hand in my paper.
People are going to think that I couldn't figure anything out and gave up.
After a few seconds of debating with myself.
I finally got up and returned her eraser.
Then walked towards Miss Aiko's desk.
I felt the shifting gaze of all the students looking at me.
The girl sitting next to paid me no mind as she was fixed on figuring out the solution for the last question then she picked up her eraser.
After reaching the desk, Miss Aiko stared at me.
"Are you sure that you're finished with the exam?"
"Yeah I am pretty sure"
After handing in my paper, she looked at my name and gave me my student ID.
"You're free to leave"
I looked at her as she said it, she has this look in her eye as if she had just discovered something important.
Great my teacher is being weird right now.
What a first day of school.
