The campus was huge so I wondered if I should familiarize myself with it or just call it a day and head back to the dorms.
I stood there lost in thought. Not too far from my classroom.
There was the sound of a door opening and closing.
It was another student from my class.
I knew that due to the fact that the noise sounded closer to where I was standing.
There I heard a voice.
"You there"
It was a female's voice.
I heard this voice before, it was the student sitting next to me.
After turning around
"Um yes?"
We had no sort of interaction besides her giving me directions to the principal's office and now she's speaking to me randomly.
I can't say wether it peaked my interest or aroused my suspicion but I wanted to see where this was heading.
"Why did you assist me during the exam?"
Ohh she's referring to me writing the correct way to pass the examination on her easer.
After putting my hands into my pants pockets

"I figured I would return the favor from earlier"
"Earlier?" she asked confusingly
"Yeah you gave me directions and if you don't remember then ouch am I really that forgettable?"
"Oh right but back to the topic at hand, I didn't see the point of completing the exam in that arrangement"
After exhaling I explained
"We were given an option of completing 5 questions out of the 10 that was provided. The first 5 questions were easy questions used to lure in students who wanted to take the easy route but the trick was each solution had to be used to solve the next question. That's fair enough right? If you answer one question incorrectly then you fail with flying colors. The 5 difficult questions were challenge on it's own and meant to make the first 5 questions seem more appealing. Our brains are automatically wired to assume the entire test meant pick a section and complete it even though the instructions were to solve 5 questions. They deliberately left the word 'any' to further make you convince yourself to limit answering the questions on the first or second page. So what I did was gave you a hint and your intelligence was supposed to carry you the rest of the way"
She stared at me a bit then it clicked in her head.
"Even though I would have realized it eventually. Thanks"
"It was a class clash so I hopefully the rest of our classmates caught on as well"
While rubbing my forehead from having to explain this to her.
"What's your name anyway?"
"Takeda Kadae and your name?"
"Dante Sato"
Well technically I wasn't lying to her. Sato was my old name and I would like to keep my new family name hidden for however long I can.
Dane on the other hand embraced his last name. After all he loves the spotlight and I want to avoid being lumped in with him.
