Chapter 3: First step onto the unknown world

[3rd POV]

A portal in a dense dark forest suddenly manifested out of thin air, and the small animals in the area panicked and hurriedly ran away in fear.

A red futuristic creature flew out as the portal closed behind it. Deoxys scanned its surroundings and saw nothing but trees: 'Mew, are you there?' it asked.

The core in Deoxy's chest shined brightly, and a furry pink mouse emerged: "So this is the new world?!" Mew said enthusiastically, "Huh, where are we?"

Deoxys shook its head, indicating that it didn't know either: 'Mew, can you inform me what is it that you do?"

"Okay!" Mew happily answered, "In short, I'm like your little helper; only you will be able to see or hear me! Unfortunately, unlike my natural body, I don't have any fighting capabilities. Think of me as a conscious system!"

'System?' Deoxys stared at Mew blankly.

Knowing that Deoxys has no idea what he's saying, Mew sighed: "You know from those novels that humans wrote?"

'I don't understand...' Deoxys was even more confused; the only thing it knew about humans were trainers.

Mew scratched his head, and the small Pokemon tried to explain what he was talking.

1 hour later...

'I think I grasped what you're saying..... So what's your function?' Deoxys asked.

"Ku Ku Ku!" Mew laughed confidently and patted his chest: " I will personally guide you on what's the most efficient way of completing this daunting task and track your progress while occasionally rewarding you!"

Deoxys nodded as Mew clapped happily before diving into Deoxys. The alien was surprised as Mew rentered its body: 'Hello, this is Mew. Can you hear me?!' A high-pitched childish voice rang in Deoxys's head.

'I can hear you...' Deoxys's responded.

'Good good, give me a second and here we go!' A small blue panel appeared before Deoxys's eyes. Deoxys tapped the blue panel, but it fazed through its fingers: 'This is all I could do; for now, it would've looked way more complicated, but I organised it for you. We only have these two options at first, but Arceus said we will earn more in the future.' Mew said as Deoxys stared at the screen in a daze.

Mew instructed Deoxys on how to operate the console in front of it. Deoxys first went to the task menu as the words on the screen started to shift.

{Task: Find Civillisation!}

{Reward: Pokemon Generator!}

'Speaking of Arceus, what kind of blessing did he give me?' Deoxys asked with curiosity.

'Oh, you don't know? Alright, give me a second....'

{Skill: Arceus's Champion}

{Description: Granted by the God of Pokemon, all Pokemon will always have a favourable opinion of you! The holder of this skill will now also gain the full capability of their typing.}

'Full capability of my typing?' Deoxys questioned.

'Since you're a psychic type pokemon, you will know to unlock your maximum potential and could know use all types of psychic moves that you previously couldn't use!' Mew answered with excitement.

Deoxys was shocked by this news, and it pointed his arm at a tree nearby. A blade formed by psychic powers shouts out of Deoxy's tentacle-like limbs as Deoxys uses Psycho Cut. The blade sliced the tree cleanly in half, and Deoxys watched with awe.

'Amazing....' Deoxys muttered as it knew that it couldn't use the move Psycho Cut before.

'Yeah yeah, anyway, let's finish the first task! I'm getting bored already!' Mew urged.

Deoxys nodded as it transformed into its Speed Form and flew away, looking for any signs of intelligent lifeforms.

[In another part of the forest]

"We can't let these orcs reach the village!" A male voice shouted desperately as he swung his sword and parried the crude makeshift axe flying at him.

"There's too many of them!" A new feminine voice yelled back as the woman nocked an arrow into her bow and fired. The arrow hit one of the orcs in the throat, killing it instantly.

Both wore leather armour, and their prominent features were a pair of black feline ears and tails. The two fought desperately, but the orcs were too strong as the young man was slashed across the chest.

"Jyn!" The woman screamed as she watched her teammate collapse.

The orcs cackled with glee as they slowly approached the woman. Their eyes were full of lust as the monsters licked their lips.

"Erika... run.... warn the villagers..." The man known as Jyn mumbled as he coughed up blood.

Erika backed up in fear as tears welled up in her eyes. The orcs pounced but were suddenly covered in a bluish aura and tossed away like ragdolls. A tall red humanoid appeared between Erika and the monsters, and everyone felt a huge pressure.

The orcs shrieked while Erika felt intense pressure as her body was covered with cold sweat.

[Deoxys Pov]

I flew around the forest, looking for even a hint of society. That's when I picked up a group of life signatures. I immediately changed course and went towards the direction where I noticed the signal.

I changed back into my standard form and hid behind a tree. Two different groups were fighting to the death. On one side are creatures that look human, but what's distinct were the tail and cat ears, while the other side looks like a weird abomination that I have never seen before.

"Ewww, they looked like a crossbreed between a deformed Grumpig and Snorlax...." Mew exclaimed as he emerged from my chest, and we watched one of the "humans" getting sliced with a sword., and I couldn't help but nod at his accurate description.

"They're losing," Mew commented as the monster's sword fatally wounded the man.

'Should I help?' I asked.

"I think you should; they could lead us to civilisation," Mew responded.

I nodded, and Mew returned to my crystal as the monsters approached the woman. I used Psychic to lift those beasts and threw them against a tree. I left my hiding spot and stood between them and the woman. The monsters shrieked in fear as their body shook uncontrollably.

I'm now intrigued by the residents' strength in this world. I decided to use my weakest move Rock Smash as I appeared in one of the green monsters. My fist lit up with white light, and I punched the monster in the face.

There was a loud cracking sound as the creature's skull exploded into blood and gore. I was utterly dumbfounded by how weak the beast was. I didn't use my full force, and even a Weedle would only faint from a Rock Smash of that level, let alone its skull exploding...

'They're very fragile....' Mew muttered.

'Yeah....'

The rest of the monsters roared with rage and swung their metal tools at me. However, the weapons didn't scratch my skin. Energy gathered from my body into my core, and I fired beams of Flash Cannon at my enemies.

The bright laser pierced all the monsters, leaving a gaping hole in their midsection as their organs melted from the heat. The monsters dropped dead. I nodded in satisfaction and then turned around to face the man and woman...
