REI’S steps faltered when he heard that. His brows immediately furrowed. He didn’t like the fact that someone would watch his every move from now on.

[All players will have their own channel from which the audience could choose to watch from. The more audience your channel has, the more chance for them to donate coins to you and even offer you sponsorship.]

[We respect everyone’s privacy, so there will be an option to turn off and turn on your personal channel. To do that, just say the word ‘channel’.]

Rei did just that, and another virtual screen appeared in front of him.

[Channel name: None (please enter a new name within the day)]

[Status: ON]

[No. of viewers: 3]

Rei raised one of his brows. He didn’t expect that there would be three viewers on his channel.

[To turn it off, just click on the status and the option to turn it ‘off’ will appear. I won’t advise it though. Especially in this early stage. The coins you will receive from the audience can buy items at the Dimensional Store. The items there can help in your survival.]

Rei became interested after reading that last one. Maybe it would have a decent sword.

[The Dimensional Store will be open once you reach level 5.]

[Of course, we know that not everyone will be comfortable with this live broadcast. That’s why there will be alternatives for you to earn coins. Still, getting donations from your viewers will be the easiest way to do it.]

Rei scoffed when he read that. How could it be easy? It’s not like these beings from other dimensions would be charitable enough to give them these so-called coins. To those people, they might as well be just entertainment. So, in order for them to get coins, they had to entertain these viewers first.

[Master, are you going to leave the live broadcast ‘on’?]–Cato asked.

Rei shrugged. [Yeah, why not?]

It’s obvious that during the duration of this ‘game’, these coins would be the universal currency. Not having money would definitely be very disadvantageous. If he could get money by having these other beings watch him, then sure. But this didn’t mean that he would allow them to encroach on his privacy.

He would only let them watch a bit of his life. Like him fighting monsters, for example.

Cato was relieved to hear his master’s answer. He already prepared himself to convince the others if he said that he didn’t want to be watched like a spectacle. But he should have known that his master wouldn’t take things lightly, especially if it’s connected to his own life.

[The rewards for clearing this dungeon must include those coins.]–Cato commented.

[I think so too. Killing the dungeon boss would probably give more coins.]

If Rei hadn’t decided yet on whether to just do the bare minimum or to go all out, then he would have now done the latter after he heard about this coin thing.

The virtual screens in front of him disappeared. It would probably appear again once important information had to be imparted. Rei simply continued.

[But how would we find the dungeon boss? It’s not like they provided the players with a map.]–Cato said.

[Let’s first look for a place with a high vantage point.] Rei looked around and saw a cliff at a distance. [There. If we look from there, we could probably see the entire forest. Since orcs are pretty tall, it wouldn’t be hard to spot them. Once we see an orc that looks different from other orcs, then that would probably be the boss.]

While explaining that to Cato, Rei wondered why they hadn’t encountered an orc yet. Could they be in another area? Maybe this was another one of those adjustors’ ‘consideration’. Since this was the tutorial, they’re trying to give the newbie players a room to breathe before pushing them to hell.

Until they reached a clearing, there was still no sign of any orcs.

[Those orcs are definitely on the opposite side of the forest.]–he thought.

[Master, there are others here.]–Cato said to him.

Rei looked around and saw that there were exactly 12 people scattered around the clearing. It was the exact number of people written on the virtual screen before he entered the dungeon.

Seven people were huddled together. The one at the center was obviously the leader. It was a plain-looking young man. He had dark blond hair and brown eyes hidden behind a pair of glasses. If he wasn’t standing in the middle of that group, Rei would have probably not noticed him.

Based on how he was surrounded by the other six, anyone could tell that he was the leader of the group. Which was quite a surprise for Rei. Especially since the other six were all burly men. It’s like looking at a VIP being surrounded by bodyguards.

The remaining five of the 12 people were standing either alone or in duos. He wanted to ask why they were all just standing here when he heard a notification sound. That was quickly followed by a virtual screen appearing in front of him.

[Ding! Two people with abilities were detected! Do you want to pick them as targets?]
