Thinking about how he'd like to press on the 'select', the screen changed.

Elijah had played tabletop Rpgs before and recognized the classes.

A short rundown would be;

Artificer- makes items

Bard- makes music and

Druids- makes plants

Rogue-super awesome badass specialist who specializes in everything (yes bards do to, but it's not the same feel)

Warlock-sugar daddy gives power

Warrior- a basic fighter

Wizard- let me check my spell list and get back to you in an hour.

You might have realized that the descriptions are somewhat biased. That's because Elijah is a strong believer in rogue supremacy. He had played as every other class, and by far his experience with rogues surpassed all other class combined.

Though that was likely due to homebrew as well. Even his current race- tabaxi halfbreed- was a homebrew creation. He played everything as a halfbreed, and occasionally they had strange features.

Not to mention, Elijah reasoned with himself for literally no reason as he was going to pick the class anyway, it fits my needs perfectly. Assassinations and sneak attacks were a way of dealing with stronger foes. There was a reason that stereotypically rogues were urchins with a sad backstory: they had options to easily escape poverty- stealing.

Elijah's eyes widened at his high numbers. Going by normal rules, 10 was the standard average for an adult male. Excitedly, he began assigning.

After fiddling with the stats and figuring out what to do, he slowly assigned them.

By the time he finished, the bandits had already started sitting around a fire and eating, speaking and shouting profanities.

Having to drag something with his eyes was quite a task for Elijah.

I stared at the last ability, contemplating. Tabaxi halfbreeds, similar to half-elves, had two traits from one parent and one from the other, and the ancestry was exchangeable. And it seems that one of his parents (in this body) is an unknown type of fey- unknown to him at least.

[Class abilities:

Competence; light armor, daggers, lockpicks, trap disarmament tools, choose four skills, choose two weapons. These gain skill bonus

Sneak attack; when exploiting an enemy's weak point or break in guard, you deal an extra 1~6 damage/2 levels, minimum 1~6.

Specialty; double skill bonus for two skills

The cant; a dialect that uses codewords, dialect and jargon that can be spoken out loud without anyone knowing what you're saying]

Much like Elijah's race, he didn't get to choose his background. He wasn't sure if this body belonged to someone else prior to his tenancy. That he couldn't choose his race or background led him to believe that it indeed was someone else's. Walking up naked in a forest tells a different story.

After looking at the weapons list, he chose rapier and bow.

After choosing his skills and assigning specialties, a screen with his final status appeared.

Elijah thought yes and immediately, a sound likened to a click from a lock picked reverberated in his psyche, and a torrent of memories and reveries flooded his mind.
