“May Numen be watching over you.” Ryushin said, bowing with his hands pressed together in a prayer-like manner.

A few moments passed until the two Hunters awakened.

Urgh... "Where am I...?" Xy muttered, narrowly opening his eyes.

“Finally awoken?” Ryushin said with a smile on his face.

Xy sat up straight with the help of his arms. "Yeah. Oh right. Did it actually work...?"

“Asking if it worked is the lesser action than experiencing the consequences of your marking.” Ryushin said.

‘What could he mean with this?’ Xy thought.

“Is it dinner time yet?” *Yaaawn*

‘Idiot Zao is finally awake…’

“Hey, hey!” Zao exclaimed, as he always did upon waking from a deep sleep. This habit would always annoy Xy when they were little kids, sleeping together.

“Oh… Are we finished?” Zao said with his eyes wide open.

“Yes, we are.” Xy replied.

“Is master doing the Marking’s Ritual?” Suda said putting her ears against the door, before noticing Emilia that was staring at her.

“What do you want now? Go, go!” Suda said flapping her hands.

“Xy, whenever you’re ready.”

“O- oh… Of course, let’s go right through it.” Xy replied.

It was this moment Ryushi would regret doing, not only bringing himself in danger, but also his loved ones…

“I simply want you to kneel before me, the only thing I need you to do is completely let yourself free, try to not think about anything, and just relax as much as you can.”

“You will enter a state of Hypnagogia, it might feel weird, but you will only be awake as soon as I let go of your head.” Ryushi said.

“As for you, Zao, I would like you to be completely silent, do not make any noise no matter what.”

“Understood.”

As Xy closed his eyes on his knees, Ryushi placed both of his hands on his head, also entering a state similar to Hypnagogia.

*Hypnagogia is the state of one’s mind between consciousness and sleep.*

“Reveal what lies beyond your skin.” Ryushi said.

The wind started blowing much more intensively, it was startling Zao, but Xy had no reaction, it did not take long for him to enter this state.

Everything around the house started rumbling, even the grounds outside, it was as if an invisible field of pure pressure was descending upon this house and everyone inside of it.

Suda and Emilia fell to the ground as they could simply not withstand the pressure.

“Emilia!” Suda said crawling towards her.

‘This never happened! What kind of ritual is master doing?!’

‘Xy…’ Zao worryingly thought.

“Show me, what lies, beyond your skin!” Ryushi said.

*POOF!*

Ryushi started seeing alot of things at the same time…
