It was the following day and Xy and Zao were honing their sword fighting skills in a verdant field near their abode. The field was surrounded by lush vegetation and the natural world.
"You're getting better."
Xy said as Zao relentlessly attacked him with his wooden sword. Xy easily dodged the strikes, much to Zao's frustration. "Yeah right, show some offense will you!"
Their training was interrupted by the arrival of Shira, who approached them dressed in her traditional kimono after completing her own training.
“Hello."
"Shiraaa! Hello!" Zao exclaimed joyfully.
“Hey, Shira.”
“Practicing the sword again, both of you?”
“Yeah! Xy is the only one I can fight properly with.” Zao replied.
Xy and Shira had a rivalrous relationship, but they acknowledged each other's strengths. Shira even admitted that Xy was more skilled with a sword than her, but she acknowledged that her speed was superior to Xy's. They would often engage in sword fights whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Suddenly, a dark red crow with glowing red eyes appeared between them. The appearance of a red crow usually signified that there was a mission to be undertaken. The crow was holding a scroll in its beak and landed on Xy's right shoulder. Xy opened the scroll and saw that there was indeed a mission for them to undertake. There was a raid happening in Atux, a city not far from their own city, Birane.
The army squad in Atux was struggling and the Black Dragons Nation had sent numerous crows to every city in case reinforcements were needed during a battle. This crow was summoning individuals from nearby cities, and this would instantly become a mission for those being called.
"Yep, another mission, and surprisingly it says Xy, Zao, Shira, and Uldok. Let's bring him with us, let's travel with my dragon." Xy said.
"I'm good, I'll just ride on mine." Shira replied.
"Same here!"
"Well then, we should head to Uldok's house."
A few minutes passed and they arrived at Uldok's place. His father opened the door and seemed to already know why they were there.
"Another mission youngins'?" He said.
"Yes mister, is Uldok around?" Zao asked.
"ULDOOOK! Come outside, there's another mission for you!" He shouted.
"SHUT UP OLD MAN!" They could hear Uldok's scream from the upper floor of his house.
Uldok emerged from the door, wearing his black jacket and equipped with his iconic "dragon claws," sharp silver claws he wore on his arms. His unorthodox fighting style had earned him great feats, making him a force to be reckoned with.
"Alright what is it today." Uldok asked.
"Another raid, although it is mentioned that a stronger force is within the raid group, it's a commander." Xy replied.

excitement was palpable upon hearing that a commander was among the enemy soldiers. "Finally! To the dragons we go!"
All parties made their way to their respective dragons and flew towards Atux. The Sacred Tower of the Towai Nation, one of their neighboring nations, was in sight.
*The Sacred Tower, reputedly the longest building in all of Gaius, it is said that the most powerful members of the Towai Nation and its leader reside there, with all of their secrets. It is practically impossible to enter without permission.*
Upon arriving at Atux, located on the Eastern side of the Black Dragon Nation, they observed the settlement of Atux, home to the esteemed librarian Wazu, who is rumored to be as intelligent as the leader of the Towai Nation.
This settlement was not built by accident, as it had concealed tunnels of great importance to the people of Atux, primarily for protection during raids.
The squad left their dragons in a safe, nearby space on a mid-high mountain.
"It's looking like a hot mess over here, glad I don't see any civilians." Zao remarked.
"Well, no time to waste. Let's get going, fellas!" Uldok said as he ran down the mountain towards the battlefield, powering up his claws.
"Seems like Uldok will be fine on his own. Zao, you should help him get rid of the soldiers. Me and Shira will take on the commander; he hasn't noticed us yet." Xy said.
"Got it." Zao said as he bounded towards Uldok, who was swinging around and killing every single soldier that came within his range with his powered-up claws.
The soldiers of Atux noticed their arrival and, in joy, continued their battle.
The monsters felt the sheer power of Zao's sword easily slashing through their defense, they were not even able to come close to him due to Zao's incredible movement speed.
At the moment, Uldok and Zao were in separate positions. A monster summoned a black rune from which fireballs were being launched. Zao noticed and sliced through the fireballs effortlessly, creating explosions behind him.
"I guess it's not only mindless monsters, huh?" He said.
He leapt towards the monster and, just as Zao was about to make contact, the monster jumped into the rune and disappeared from Zao's sight. It reappeared behind Zao and fired a powerful purple beam, catching Zao off guard.
Zao stood back up from the impact and visibly became incensed that his coat had been scorched.
"Now I will have to get it repaired again, you sucker!"
The monster appeared right in front of Zao, going for a slash, however, Zao quickly dashed to his right and slashes the monster's abdomen, who retreated back to a safe distance.
As the monster was charging up for another shot, Zao decided to go a step further.
The monster fired a powerful beam at Zao, who sliced both of his swords right in the middle, creating a spectacular view of himself standing in the middle of the sliced beam.
He then ran at high speed towards the monster. Right as the monster tried to escape, Zao leaped and sliced the monster again at an incredibly high speed. He turned his back and sliced the monster's head, killing it instantly.
"Wow... Is this what you call a Golden Warrior?" a child said as he watched Zao, peeking his head out of a tunnel where he and his family were hiding.
The tension was getting higher as Xy and Shira were nearing the commander, who had already noticed their presence...
