Chapter 8: [S1] Ch7

[Yui-chan, please step back for a moment.] Rui-chan said. She looked like she was alerted. Her smiley face turned into a serious face. 

"Why? Is something wrong?" 

[I feel a strong presence nearby. And it is heading towards where we are right now.] 

"You're feeling a strong presence nearby? And it's heading towards us?" 

[Indeed. So please step back for a bit.] 

"Eh, maybe you're just joking to me like how you did me dirty when I first saw the teddy bear." 

[No, I am serious this time.] 

"Oh well, whatever. Where am I supposed to go?" 

[Please just stand by in front of the door.] 

"Ok." I said. I headed towards the door and stood in front of it. "So, what's this strong presence you're telling me?" 

[An evolved animal.]

"Evolved animal?" 

[They are normal animals of earth that have undergone a mutation.] 

"Mutation?" 

[In simple terms, they've turned into bad monsters. They are bad, really bad.] She said in a scary way. After that, an omnious figure was rising up from the rooftop's fence. [Anyways, it's finally here.] 

I waited for the figure. I looked at the figure. I stared at the figure. The figure managed to climb up the building. The figure looked like a... White and yellow cat, but large. 

The cat was large. Very large. It's larger than me. It's even larger than my teddy bear too. I feel like the cat's size is a bit similar to a shark. It's hard to explain. It's just huge and that's it.

"... I feel like I have seen this cat somewhere..." I murmured. I tried to remember the cause of the familiarity. I finally remembered. "Oh, is that you, Koichi!?" 

[Does Yui-chan know this evolved cat?] 

"Yep! Koichi is a stray cat who likes visiting here from time to time! She plays with me too!"

[Is that so? Seems like this cat met an unfortunate fate.] 

{Nya nya nya! Do you think I like playing with you, human!?} I heard another voice. I stared at the huge Koichi. The cat just spoke.

"Does Koichi know how to speak!? That's cool! Now we can talk!" I was happy. However, that happiness was exchanged with confusion. "... Wait, what did you mean that you don't like playing with me?" 

{Nya! You humans were nothing but my servants! Especially you, female human. You were nothing but my food provider!}

I was mad hearing that. I was a bit sad. I didn't like what she said. I felt betrayed. "... And here I thought I can be well liked to animals at least. But I guess even them will treat me as an outcast..." 

[Please calm down, Yui-chan. We will handle this Koichi together.] 

"... Ok..." 

[... Well, an evolved one which not only does it have strength, but is also able to attain the ability to speak human language. Huh, to think one will appear this fast.] 

{Nya! Are you a bird?} Koichi asked, pointing her paws towards Rui. 

[No.] 

{Who do you think you're fooling!? I'll eat you!} Koichi was about to jump. However, some red laser like light appeared from Rui-chan's eyes. Koichi stopped. Koichi stared at it.

{Nya! I'll deal with you later, bird! I will catch this red dot first!} 

[Come and catch it if you can.] Rui-chan provoked. She then played with Koichi using the laser. Koichi was playing like a normal cat, chasing the red dot. I wanted to play with a cat too using that, but not with Koichi anymore. 

[Yui-chan, please use this.] Rui said. Something appeared out of nowhere. It was a blue colored gun with a spiral metal on it. I've seen this kind of gun before. 

"Isn't this a gun?" 

[That's right. It's a type of hand gun first created in 2025 which was three years ago called Railgun.] 

"... Yeah, I know... My dearest father was the one who invented this after all..." 

I clenched the handle really hard. It made me remember unwanted memories. I don't like unwanted memories. I really hate this thing. I really hate sad nostalgia. 

[... That's my first time hearing that. Anyways, enough being sentimental and save it for later. I want you to shoot that cat.] 

"... Me?" 

[That's right. I don't have the ability to fight. That's why, Yui-chan should be the one to kill it. Don't worry too much, I'll just rewind the time if things go wrong. Please hurry up while I'm still distracting it.] 

"... So, you're saying that I'll kill Koichi with this thing?" 

[Yes.] 

"Ok then. Though, can you make her stay still? I'm not that good with guns so I'm afraid that I might miss the target. Aiming is hard, after all." 

[Understood.] 

Rui then brought the red dot in front of me. It wasn't moving anymore. Because of that, Koichi managed to cover it with her paws. Rui-turned off the red laser.

{Nyahahahaha! I finally caught one! Now I can brag about this to them!} 

Koichi was in front of me. Koichi wasn't paying attention at all. Koichi was in a perfect spot. I clenched the gun's handle really hard. I pointed it towards her joyful face. I made sure to hit that head. 

"Bang." I pulled the trigger. A strong blue colored circle shaped laser came out. It hits Koichi's forehead. Koichi's head exploded. It rained blood. I wiped out some that got onto my face using my hands. It was disgusting. 

I watched the cat's coarpes slowly fall down on the floor. The coarpes was headless. It looked beautiful. It was an art. It was yet the best art I have ever seen. 

[Congratulations, Yui-chan.] 

"Thanks." I said. I then pointed the gun inside my mouth. I pulled the trigger. However, nothing hapoened. I pulled it again. It wasn't working.

"... Hey, there's something wrong with this." 

[I've predicted that Yui-chan will play with it. So I purposely lended it to you with only 1% batterage. Playing with dangerous things is dangerous.] 

"How mean. This thing is just a toy..."

[A Railgun is not a toy, it's a weapon that can hurt people.]

"I know, I'm just kidding." 

[What will you do if the Railgun still had a battery when you tried to shoot it inside your mouth?] 

"I'm dead, I guess. Aren't you just going to rewind the time again anyways?" 

[Yui-chan shouldn't abuse the time.] 

"Fine, whatever. Let's just head down, I wanna sleep."
