After Astaroth was defeated, the Sin of Wrath broke away from his plans for liberation.

For the sin of wrath, Astaroth was evil incarnate, if he were released again it would not only be the end for humanity, but for all living beings. The power of this god was so great that even in death his followers could feel him within them; they had a sense of purpose and meaning as though their lives truly mattered—which is why many of these believers went on to become zealots or fanatics when the time came after the fall of Astaroth.

The sin of wrath allied itself with humanity to stop it.

Samael became an ally to mankind during the war against the demons because she knew what would happen if Astaroth returned.

She created an agency within the city of Tarvedum to stop any attempts to resurrect Astaroth.

This group consisted mainly of humans who were chosen by the goddess herself. They called themselves "the Guardians." It was through them that humankind learned about Astaroth's resurrection plan, which involved using a special elixir made out of blood taken from people throughout history.

This information led directly to the creation of the Guardian Order, whose duty was to keep watch over such things. In addition to protecting mankind, they also protected other species from being used as part of Astaroth's scheme.

On a routine mission, a member of the order was attacked by the Bishop of Lust, but she was saved by a student named Albert.

He easily defeated a Lust Bishop.

This was the first time Samael had heard of Albert. He was very strong; stronger than the other students. And yet...he didn't seem like one of the guardians at all. This boy seemed far more dangerous.

Albert wasn't aware of how much danger he posed.

So she watched him for a while longer.

A few weeks later, Samael found out that the bishops were going to attack the city, so he sent the hero to stop them.

To Samael's surprise, the hero was very weak and was defeated.

She was going to have to reveal herself because of the way things were going.

Albert surprised her again and defeated him.

With his victory, the bishop of lust fled.

Samael felt something strange about Albert: there was no doubt that he possessed some kind of divine power.

This boy was undoubtedly a good bet to prevent Astaroth from being resurrected or even defeating him.

Samael wanted to go after the boy, but she couldn't go to his house.

So she decided to go after some of his friends instead.

After a few days, she reached where her maids were.

"I am the sin of rage, I have come to negotiate with Albert or someone on his behalf." She looked at the woman who was in charge.

A maid said, "I'm Reize, and I can speak for Albert."

Reize was tall and slender, with long black hair tied into two buns. She wore a dress that matched her dark skin tone, along with white gloves. Her face was sharp, almost harsh. But her eyes held kindness behind them.

"You must be aware of the plan to resurrect Astaroth," she said.

Reize nodded in accord.

"I know you defeated four of the five bishops of lust and I would like to join forces with you."

Contrary to what Samael expected, Reize disagreed immediately.

"We don't want anything to do with the government," Reiz said in a disgusted tone.

In response, Samael began to explain how important the task ahead of them was.

However, Reize interrupted once more.

"No thank you!" she shouted back.

It appeared that despite her words, Reize did care about the fate of humanity.

"If he resuscitates, it won't affect us."

"Of course it does," yelled Samael. She was tired of Reize's arrogance.

It reminded her of the one thing she hated the most: the sin of greed.

Greed always thought that everything belonged to him. Everything was for sale and therefore worthless. Greed wanted to sell souls to Astaroth, and then use those souls to gain power and wealth.

"They already see Albert as a threat," Samael said.

"Continues..."

Samael finally understood what to do and how to proceed.

She realized that she had started in the wrong direction.

She wasn't supposed to talk about how it would affect humanity, she was supposed to talk about how it would affect Albert.

"Listen, If Astaroth returns, he will be killed without hesitation. He would become his soul. Do you understand?"

The maids started looking at each other.

An air of sadness and fear took over the place.

They were all worried about losing Albert.

Reize finally spoke up, "We'll cooperate as long as it doesn't interfere with Albert's school life."

As if reading Samael's mind, Reize added, "And we don't need your help anyway. We're capable of defending ourselves."

At last! The right approach.

Samael smiled triumphantly. It was working perfectly.

"Good. Then here is our deal," Samael told.
