Chapter 23: Chap 22 – The shut-in administrator

After the sin of wrath had left the journal, the maids began to discuss what they should do.

"I don't trust in any sin," Elena said. She was the most jealous of Albert.

She started talking to him recently, maybe the time she couldn't see him made her jealous.

"That goes without saying, but we can't let anyone hurt Albert," Reiz added.

Maids needed to cooperate with the sin of wrath.

"We should tell Amanda, Elly, and Elysia to make the school more secure," Agata suggested.

Reize nodded in agreement.

Amanda, Elly, and Elysia were the only maids who studied at the school.

The maids who are still young will join next year.

"Our next question is how we are going to deal with our prisoners," Reiz said.

After the battle, Albert's maids managed to arrest the bishops.

They kept them in a dark room.

"Learning as much information as you can and then killing them," Agata said in a murderous tone.

This was an answer that made everyone nod in approval.

Agata also had another idea. "Let me take care of this."

"You mean you want us to leave it all up to you?" Elena asked doubtfully.

"You haven't killed anyone yet," added Agata.

Elena shook her head sadly.

In any case, the problem remained unsolved: Who would kill the prisoners?

Normally that would be Reize's job, but they all wanted to play that role, after all, they were the prisoners who tried to kill Albert.

There wasn't one person among them who didn't have some sort of grudge toward those people.

"...What about me?" Elina suddenly spoke out loud from the darkness.

Everyone turned around surprised. They hadn't heard anything coming through the door. It seemed like Elina entered quietly.

When did she come here?!

Elina never left her office in the company building.

She was in charge of managing the stores they had.

Even if Albert's family went through a crisis, the maids would not lose their jobs.

That was why she rarely came out. Even when she did go outside, it was usually just to buy food.

Her job required long hours inside the store; therefore, she hardly ever saw sunlight anymore. Her skin looked pale compared to before. The few times she smiled felt unnatural.

"Why don't you try talking to Albert more often?" Reize asked gently.

"Because I can't stand seeing his smile!" Elina shouted angrily.

"Is there something wrong with that?!" Agata exclaimed.

"Of course! Why wouldn't there be?" Elina replied.

"If someone tries to harm your beloved man, isn't it normal to hate them?" Elina added.

"But..." Agata hesitated.

Agata knew that Elina had no field experience, after all, she was always stuck in her room.

She was afraid that Elina would not be able to fulfill the task.

"Please give me a chance!" Elina begged desperately.

Elina wanted to prove herself, even if it meant killing.

At first glance, she seemed weak, but deep down she was strong.

Just because she lacked physical strength didn't make her weaker than others. If anything, her mind was sharper.

However, none of the maids thought she could kill.

"Well...let's think about this later," Agata said.

"Yes, let's talk about it again tomorrow morning," Reize agreed.

"No need to rush things. We'll decide everything together," Agata concluded.

"Elina, I want to ask if you've made the necessary arrangements to get this journal."

"Huh...? Oh yeah, sure thing," Elina answered confusedly.

Elina understood the importance of the media better than anyone else.

After all, a piece of news almost destroyed Albert's image, so they should control all news vehicles to prevent this from happening again.

"We also need someone to take care of the journal," Elina childishly said.

She didn’t want to have more work, because it meant less time with Albert.

Albert was her world.

Without him, life would seem meaningless.

Elina was happy to do whatever it took to protect him.

"I will handle the journal," Agata said firmly.

"Oh, okay," Elina responded happily while nodding vigorously.
